I went to get my nails done and I usually let Lisa do them, she does an alright job. This time I let the older gentlemen do it and he was extremely rough. When using the nail file, he would over do it and wouldn't stop till my fingers turned a bright red. He then proceeded to clip them way too short when I told him I liked them long. After all this, I got my eyebrows done and he ended up messing those up too, now I have to grow them out. I will not be returning. read more

I went here for the first time last week, in search of a mani-pedi and not wanting to go far from home. I was the first person there, shortly after opening. The salon itself is a little outdated, but it seemed pretty clean. They do have some O.P.I. colors, but also have tons of off-brand polishes, which made me a little worried. After picking my colors, my nail technician Minh gave me the best mani-pedi I have ever had. He took his time, was very thorough, gave a great foot and leg massage, and painted flawlessly. He also had a great balance of chatting with me and then letting me relax in silence. I will definitely be back and will request Minh every time. The price was great, too! It was only $30! read more

Went to Tip Nails for a pedicure today as a walk-in. I had a younger man, he did an amazing job!! The salon is clean and the price was decent--$22 for a pedicure. $28 for mani/pedi Mon-Wed. Will definitely be coming back again. read more

I was so shocked at the service I received at this nail salon. I had been wanting to get a no chip pedicure for a while and I randomly pulled over to this place, not wanting to drive to the northside or downtown, and I have never experienced such perfection from a nail tech. Obviously, the place is a little out of date and the chemical smell is a little stronger than other nail salons but the work was worth it! Also, this place is so inexpensive that I was really not expecting too much but the tech that did my toes was so careful with detail and professional it was a job well done and worth the money....worth even more money! read more

I hated this place! Granted, the man who did my pedicure was gentle and the foot massage was good. HOWEVER, the lady for my manicure was absolutely terrible! she was just the opposite, rough and not very polite to me as a new customer. She cut my cuticles so much that I had sores for at least a week! I noticed when another customer came after me, a customer who seemed to be a regular, she was so warm and chatty with her. ugh im just disgusted with this place because i had high hopes given its one of the closer nail salons to me. The only reason i gave it the two star was from the service from the guy.Not the best pedicure ive ever had and CERTAINLY one of the worst manicures! i would rather go out of my neighborhood and pay $40 for a quality experience! I found this place to be a standard cheap nail shop. The place looked pretty clean and had nice pedicure soak tubs. I had my eyebrows done when I was there. They complete that service in the main area while I was sitting in a chair. I noticed they put the wax on the strips and then put the strips on me. It still got the job done and I will definitely go back since it is the closest place near my house. read more

I got a great gel fill right near by. Living in the South Loop it is hard to find a salon that uses gel rather than no chip. This place was friendly, prompt, adequately clean, well price and gave me a great mani. I will definitely be back. read more

Everyone was really nice and it was really relaxing. And holy cow great for the price.

Ok, I know this is NoT an expensive salon, so I am not comparing this to a place with high end service, nor was I expecting it. 1. Horribly strong smell of acetone. Poor ventilation. 2. Lady who did my nails seemed to not want to be there; she wasn't out rightly rude, but definitely unwelcoming. In fact, right after telling me where to put my hands to dry, she went off to the back corner and watched tv. 3. The worst part, she was rough on my fingers, filed them unevenly, and trimmed too much so that I ended up with hangnails later. She even nicked my left ring finger so that it bled and she didn't apologise! The other staff around the room seemed to be younger and more professional, so I don't want to judge the whole place by the one employee. But I AM judging this review on my experience there so that is why they are getting the first single-star review I have ever written. You've been warned. read more

This establishment is very dirty and the people are very unprofessional. The clinicians talk about u in front of your face in their own language when you tell them what you want on your nails they seem to do whatever they think is necessary to add on dollar by dollar until your final bill is outrageous. To be honest the conduct and quality of work is not pf professional quality. read more

I go to this nail salon all the time! The workers are very friendly and care to remember your name and get to know you. My nails always come out beautifully. All I have to do is ask for designs and they'll come up with the most beautiful and creative patterns on your nails and they're not very expensive! My favorite nail salon yet, GO GO GO! read more

I went in this nail salon on Friday, 12/21/12. i was leaving on vacation to Texas the following morning so i needed a manicure, pedicure and facial wax. The older Vietnamese lady who did my wax was being very rough and I told her but she kept on. She burned my upper lip and my chin really bad. i am not sure if the wax was too hot, or that she kept pressing really hard on my face even after i told her. Or that she went over the same areas more than once. i was on vacation looking like Scarface, literally. As soon as I got back I went to see them, I was not rude in any way, I simply explained what happened and showed them pictures of my face while I was in Texas. They immediately started acting very rude towards me and they all started speaking Vietnamese to each other so I could not understand what they were saying. They admitted remembering me because I was the last customer there on 12/21/12. When I asked them to issue me a receipt THEY FLAT OUT REFUSED, they gave me my $20 back but my face is all scarred up. I mean seriously, this is my face we are talking about, my makeup wont even cover it. **PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL PEOPLE, I WOULD HATE FOR THIS TO HAPPEN TO SOMEONE ELSE. I have filed a complaint with the BBB but I don't know what I can do without a receipt. i am devastated and i am already feeling really self conscious about my face. Just got a no chip this yesterday and it is already starting to peel they didn't even cut my cuticles or soak my nails before the no chip

Horrible customer service.. Went for a no chip in Monday and by Wednesday 3 nails were more then chip. Came to fix them and won't fix my design since it was to much work. never coming here again never had this probably when I get them done at the salon I usually go too. And they took another customer before me that came after me. Been here for over an hour. read more

I have been going here for years. Once I had a fungal infection on one fingernail, & just wanted a false nail put over it. They would not touch it. They said come back when it was gone. I think that is a good sign that they are very careful about not passing on fungal nail infections. I have yet to go to a nail salon that was 100% sterile (that would require new nail files for each client), but this one is as close as it gets. They are polite, clean & affordable. read more

Came in for a simple pedicure and they did a good job. The place is a little messy and the color selection is lacking. However, Min did a great job with my pedicure. He took his time; did not feel rushed at all like at other places. He spoke English very well and they had the Travel channel on. I rarely ever go to a nail salon with anything enjoyable on the tv. There wasn't excessive talking among the workers either. By the way, the massage chair was very nice. read more

I just went here this morning as a very first mani/pedi birthday gift to myself. At Noon the place was empty. I loved the massage chair, worker was great just talking enough and not too much. Always went here they paint nail fine however I would NOT recommend and eye brow waxing

I recently moved, so I've been trying out new nail salons. I'm very particular about salons because you can get serious infections if tools are not sterilized properly. My manicurist took a cuticle pusher and cutter out of a drawer, and I was concerned that they had been used on someone else without being sterilized. So, I said I wanted to see new tools being taken out of the sterilizing machines. She refused, and insisted they were fresh tools--that was strike one. Strike 2 occurred during the pedicure. I asked to soak for about 15 minutes and she said no, you can't hold up a chair. Uh, it's Tuesday morning, there are 5 or 6 pedicure chairs, and I'm the only person in here getting a pedicure--why are you rushing me? Strike 3 occurred later in the evening when I noticed that THREE NAILS WERE CHIPPED! I chose an OPI polish, but it was really liquidy and thin. I think they thinned it with acetone instead of an actual nail polish thinner. Anyway, I would not come back here. They rush the services even when the place is empty, they are rude, my nails chipped the same day, and I suspect this place is not clean.
