My favorite place to get my nails done. So many color options! A very quiet and relaxing environment.

Went there for the first time for a pedicure. No friendly greeting upon entering, just a quick hello and told to pick your color. The nail technician was not friendly either and rushed through the service. No massage, just applied lotion. Will not be returning. read more

I scheduled an appt for my daughter to get her nails done her for the first time. She was so excited since it was her first time going and it's so close to home. I scheduled it with the owner, Celine, since I figured she has to be one of the best in there. As far as the nails go, she did a good job....but her attitude is another story. Rude and miserable from the minute my daughter arrived. She also quoted her a priced and when my daughter went to check out she charged her an extra $5....keep in mind my daughter didn't do anything extra or change anything once she was quoted a price. Unfortunately my daughter was too shy to speak up but at least she was smart enough to take that $5 out of her tip! This is not a way to run a business and we can't believe people actually support this miserable owner. Definitely won't be back and definitely won't be recommending to others. I am feeling really uneasy as I write this review. My friend and I came here today just being random and wanting to pamper ourselves. I calle before driving over to ensure they have time for two pedicures and one regular manicure. They said yes. Upon arrival, the shop was completely empty. You had about 10 servers and maybe two customers. Perfect, right? So my friend and I are trying to choose a color. We have literally 1.5 hours prior to the shop closing. We can barely relax before we are asked three times if we are ready. Bruh... if we were ready we would've said something. Give us like 7 minutes. So I choose whatever color. The lady who did my was quiet and nice. Moves super quick so I'm not sure if she put her back into it when scrubbing down my dusty ass feet, which so badly needed treatment and TLC. My manicure was bomb af. They don't do it the traditional way but I still feel like she did a good job. I wanted to give 5 stars but my friend, who only got a pedicure was not satisfied in the slightest. read more

The folks at Celine were so nice and accommodating. I definitely felt pampered at the nail salon. The technique they use is very different from the usual no-chip and I must say it's good. They also have a really great variety of quality mail shades available and they don't rush you into making a decision. Also the place is super clean which is a place. read more

Now this is wonderful as long as they don't mess up your appointment like they did to me on Friday. - Sunday hours - Free Street Parking CONS: - Poorly trained nail technicians....I liked Ivy but now she no longer works there. - Mismanagement of the schedule book - My nail technician today blamed me for having too much skin on my toes so that's why she had to almost dig a hole into my nail - Credit card fee....I hate when a business charges the customer the credit card fee!!! ZERO STARS!! The brief service I encountered was inextricably horrid. I arrived at 7:15 for a pedicure and manicure. They appeared aghast at the request and stated that they could not accommodate both as they were close to closing... mind you NO ONE was in the salon receiving services. How long does a no chip require?? How long does a pedicure take?? Add to this, zero patrons in the facility.. Flummoxed? I am. Against my own gut instinct, I chose to get my nails done as I would be flying out the following morning, and they sorely needed to be serviced. I received the selection of nail colors and began quickly looking through them. I also phoned my husband, as he had dropped me off, to let him know my visit would be abbreviated and when to pick me up. During this brief interlude, the testy tech began impatiently reaching for my hand to begin. Please note, the time of receipt of the nail colors while I concurrently phoned my husband was just a minute! I told her to give me a second to choose my nail color. This graceless, ill-mannered person had the audacity to admonish me for being on the phone. The audacious rudeness. She could clearly hear me giving my husband information and note, employing civility and common sense, that it was not, in fact, a social call. People. Stop patronizing places that dish out horrendous service. I went 20 minutes down the road to the salon I normally go to. They close at 8, too. Guess who got a mani/pedi?? Me. The apex of true customer service. I should have paid much closer attention to the 1 star ratings. In this age of competitiveness, we know not all 5 star reviews are authentic....... And when there are myriad 1 star and then myriad 5 star ratings... something is awry. I also have been alive long enough to know when there are veiled hints of racism permeating the air. Just got back from Celine nails. This is my third time getting my nails done here. The employees are so polite and friendly! The prices are great and affordable. I love that the salon is only five minutes away from where I live. They always do an amazing job shaping my nails, taking their time, asking if I am doing ok. They give me price quotes before doing anything when I ask about adding designs. My nail color holds up three weeks every time! I can't see going anywhere else! read more

Celine's is my go-to nail spot from now on! They prefer you make an appointment before you go in and honestly that system is much better for those with busy lifestyles since it ensures that you won't be waiting too long if at all since they don't really take walk-ins. They also have their own parking lot, which is much appreciated since you don't have to deal with street parking. The ladies at this salon are super sweet and their work is top-notch! My no-chips usually last 2 weeks (sometimes even 3!) with minimal chips! I would definitely say that their quality is above average and that's what keeps me coming back. They're speedy with their work and I'm not really one for small talk so I appreciate that they can get my nails looking great and I can get on with the rest of my day. Color selection wise, they have a wide range of OPI (my favorite brand) Most salons don't have too big a variety of OPI since it is pricier but I honestly think it wears longer on my nails so I LOVE that they have so many shades! Some of the nail techs are also knowledgeable enough about their shades that if you give them a name they can pull it for you! Overall, would definitely recommend getting your manicure here and I am honestly so glad I found this gem in the neighborhood! read more

Me and my fiancée have come here twice and we must say the services are wonderful. They do an excellent job on pedicures and manicures plus they actually converse with you (unlike some places where they only speak to each other). My fiancée loves the way they do her nails and it really doesn't matter which nail tech. you get, they all do a wonderful job! Parking is plentiful so you don't have to worry about that. Just make sure you bring cash as they charge a little higher for the card fees and such. Also, bring something to read or listen to if you aren't in the mood to converse. I've been going to this salon for a couple years however, there have been times where I've gone elsewhere close to my client site in Orland Park because of availability. None the less, I went today and was very disappointed in the service and more so in the the attitude during my service. I received a rushed pedicure and when it came to my no chip manicure, I had to bring to Celine's attention there was old polish still on my nails as she was about to polish with the new polish. I don't know any place where the client has to check their nails thoroughly and point out any issues. She was not happy as she removed polish residue from majority of my nails. Afterwards, she asked me, is that good enough? At that point I was so ready for this experience to be over, I said sure. I did not wait for my pedicure to dry nor did I want her to clean up my brows (I always get this done as well). I recommended a few people to this place and they had mixed feelings. I will never recommend anyone else nor will I spend another penny in this establishment. If I could give negative stars, that's what they would get! read more

I like this place. It's clean, quiet, and quick. I've been twice and was really happy the first time. The second time I got someone different and she wasn't great. She had a hard time squaring my nails and they were lopsided, she used very short and repeated strokes with very little polish, which I knew would make the nails look streaked. I wanted designs on my nails and she wasn't sure how to do it. I always go to the nail salon and ask them to do something in a design. I'm not creative or particularly picky so I said I wanted then sparkly. I ended up with 3 sparkly "bubbles" along the bottom of my nail. I was disappointed and have never seen a nail tech who couldn't understand what I meant by a design. My no-chip did chip a little less than a week in and there is a gap with no polish along the bottom of my nails because of how she was painting them. It was like she didn't want to use too much polish but as she was doing it I knew she wasn't using enough and it was streaky and parts were not polished. Shops like Celine's make me wish Yelp had a 1/2 start option. I wanted this to be a 4 star review really bad. If I could give it 3.5 that would be fair. But even after two visits, I'm going to go with 3. The good... It's clean and there are plenty of chairs although I've never seen more than 4 women there at a time. Also good, you can call and get a same day appointment. Could be better, because there is no bad, but they have only one kind of pedicure. I went into Celine's because it was very close to my new apartment and I needed a fill BAD. They were currently all busy with nails and told me to leave my name and number and they would call me to come back when they were available. THEY DID AND I'M GLAD! I've gotten full sets in several different states, cities, areas, and countries and this is by far the best I've ever had. The attention to nail health and emphasis on perfection are unmatched. Awesome place! Kay gave me a mani-pedi, and she did a fantastic job! She is very sweet and kind. The other ladies that worked there seemed very nice as well. It was great to see that all the ladies socialized with their customers as they worked on them. The salon very busy, which was great, considering it has been open only since August. I'm very happy that it's in my neighborhood! It's a friendly, neighborhood establishment that kind of reminded me of "Cheers;" the workers knew most of their customers by first name as they walked in. The service is good and fairly priced. My only complaint is that when I go for a mani-pedi I want to relax. I find it hard to do because the technicians are always talking among themselves the whole time I am there. The last time I was there there were four techs working and they and the manager were all talking the entire time. I don't find that to be relaxing. read more

First time here! Quiet and clean place. I had acrylics on and went in for removal and no chip manicure. Some nails are bumpy but it's expected after soaking off acrylics for 30 mins. But overall great job and will definitely return. They also wear gloves during services which not all places do so that was an extra plus! Thank you!! read more

I LOVE Celine's! Celine herself was my nail girl for 10 plus years and I have followed her from place to place and now at her own shop. Everyone in her shop is friendly and attentive. I have always had a stellar experience here. It's true you often need an appointment to get in, but I used to frequent a shop in which the owner NEVER turned ANYONE away. What that really meant is the techs NEVER got any breaks. 12 hour days with no breaks, sometimes 6 or 7 days a week = slave labor. "Appointments only" means the techs actually might get to take a lunch break, or run and get their kids from school in between appointments. If I have trouble getting in to see someone, it's my own fault for waiting to get an appointment. Cheating on your nail girl is the same as cheating on your hairstylist. You're never happy when you go someplace else. That's why I always go to Celine's! read more

Love this place! I had a horrible expierience at another salon so I decided to try Celine's. I went in less than an hour before they closed worried they might not have time but they took me anyway! I explained that I had gotten my nails done at another salon and was unhappy because my nails were bumpy, crooked and the polish was chipping on 2 nails after only a few hours. I was going to just get a polish change and have them filed a bit but the technician discovered that my nails actually had air bubbles underneath of the acrylic and said it would be better to file the acrylic away and do a fill in. She did an amazing job shaping my nails and they are probably the best I've ever had! She was especially nice to my 1 1/2 year old son. She let him sit on my lap while she did my nails and offered him candy and a cell phone stand so he could watch my phone while she fixed my nails. So glad I tried this place I will definitely be returning! read more

This place is amazing. I've gone to many nail salons and was always disappointed. I'm very picky when it comes to my nails. And I always find something wrong with my nails. It's either one nail is shaped crocked or they missed a patch of nail while painting. This salon is a few blocks from my house which is perfect. I get gel put over my nails cause they always seem to break. My first time Celine did my nails and did an amazing job. She spent half an hour cleaning up my nails and explaining that the last place I went didn't clean my nails good enough. The second time Joanna did my nails and also did an awesome job. The pedicures are amazing and the massage chairs are to die for. Highly recommend this place. Staff is very warm and welcoming. read more

I got a full set and pedicure for $50, unheard of in Chicago if you ask me. I love the way my nails look and she took her time with the full set, not bulky and cleaned up nice. They have a nice size selection for colors but most of them do look old as in they are separating so it took me a while to find something that I liked. I will for sure be back as a customer for my nails in the future. FYI, mostly just appointment only here unless they have the time to fit you in. As for the pedicure, perhaps I'm spoiled but I am used to a very relaxing, long, and detailed pedicure. I think that my toes look nice but I did notice some extra rough skin on my heels, probably since the lady that did my toes didn't spend much time with that. I believe that I received the correct service for the price. I will only get a pedicure from here if I'm in a pinch with time/money. I visited Celine's on a Saturday. I was buzzed in and walked towards the nail polishes. I wasn't greeted until about 5 minutes later. I sat down and waited for my appointment time since I arrived a bit early. I was called by the technician and sat down in the pedicure chair which was very comfortable. The water was white. So I figured it was some sort of soap for my feet. The pedicure was great. But I noticed that a few minutes later the water was clear. I figured it drained out the soap or something. The only thing I didn't enjoy about the pedicure was that the technician's hands were very cold. Also the lotion she put on my feet was freezing! Not very comforting. I guess this was because the salon was cold to begin with..... During my pedicure another technician started cleaning the station next to me. I noticed she sprayed Scrubbing Bubbles on the bowl and then she sprayed it on the pumice and the other utensil she used to smooth my feet!! She then scrubbed them both with a nail brush. I don't think this is the proper way to clean utensils at all! This lead me to believe that the white water was left over Scrubbing Bubbles. Then I was moved to the other side of the salon for my manicure, which was even colder!!! The manicure was great but I couldn't enjoy it since it was so cold. And then add on the technicians cold hands and cold lotion. I actually had to ask the technician to stop for a minute while I put my jacket back on. I also found it rude that she was speaking to another technician across the room in their language. I would understand if they are next to each other but not across the room...... Once she finished I went back to the other side to dry my nails. I was acknowledged upon leaving. Which was nice. But two days later my nails had already chipped. I don't think I'll be going back. I really wanted to like this place since it was so close to home. read more
