The workers are friendly; that's why I gave it two stars. But never again will I waste my time here. I asked for a mani/pedi, and the whole time I felt like the services were rushed. They barely scrubbed my feet and gave me a one minute massage. After getting my nails painted, the lady brought me to have my nails dried, and didn't even turn the fan on for my nails to dry, so I sat there for ten minutes trying to get her attention. Went to get my nails shortened for the delivery of my baby and got a very horrible, painful set done by the guy there name Tony. He was so harsh on my cuticles and nail beds that my fingers were burning during the process. After washing my hands I notices so much acrylic that he plastered all over my cuticles, so I asked him to remove it. He drilled around my cuticles using the same drill for the whole process and the were burning so much that I yanked my hand back several times. After this agonizing, hack job was done. He quickly took my funds and ran off the leave with a person in a car so obviously he rushed my service due to plans he had. The next day I returned because while doing hair I noticed my cuticles were still grabbing hairs so they were lifting and still had too much acrylic in them.... he uses the same file/ drill it was still laying on his desk as if he is using the same drill on every client and not even bothered with sanitizing them between services. I asked him if there was a smaller tool he could use the get the cuticles down without injuring my cuticles more than he had already did and he says " well I had to filed down your acrylic and reapply it." I had just gotten a fill and wanted either a cut down, soak off and overlay. I never asked him to plaster acrylic all over my hands and cuticles and drill them like sheetrock. 3 days later and I have sores on my cuticles oozing pus and my ring finger is in excruciating pain to the fact that I have to go to another salon and soak off this entire set. Feeling pretty disappointed. I got a gel manicure which costed $30. The nails came out bumpy and the nails were filed down differently. Some of my nails were round and some were squared. The nail polish was not cleaned around the cuticles. The lady who did them also nicked me with the dremal a few time and over trimmed my cuticles. I also thought it was pretty unprofessional that she had 3 hickies on her neck and was wearing a white tank top and shorts, showing too much skin in my opinion. I found this salon at my bank. Looking at the teller's nails, I asked her where she got her nails done, because they were so natural, and thin, and well shaped. She told me about this place. I am very picky about how my nails are done. I do not like thick or odd shaped nails. I like my nails to look natural. Well two week ago, I went to Tips N Toes Nail Salon, and absolutely loved the work. The nails lasted for two weeks without chipping off, or popping off the outer edges. I am going back today. BTW, it's a 20 minute drive for me - and well worth every mile. Oh, and the prices are comparable to any popular nail place in Killeen. 11-17-2013 update: Tan is gone - the management has changed, the work now is substandard (lasts for a week instead of a month), staff complains about being short staffed because people don't feel like coming to work, waiting times can be as long as an hour. I have gone here a couple of times for pedicures and eye brows waxing... each time was a disappointment. The pedicures are rushed through.. they do such a crappy job. And the eye brow waxing lady always over does it on mine. She takes my full eyebrows and makes them pencil thin. There is no soothing music or relaxation techniques used.. I was in Killeen visiting my sister, after a day of shopping we decided to try this salon on our way home. My sister lives close so we figured we would stop in. The place was crowded and loud, not a place to relax. The chairs looked really dirty and the whole place was not clean. No plastic bags in the bowls which made me nervous. The lady that did my toes was forceful and bossy. She was so rough and actually made my toe bleed. She told me the color I picked for my toes was ugly and attempted to convenience me to get another color. I was not able to relax at all and as I write this review my toes are still sore. I went to this nail shop this past weekend...fooled by the pictures. Don't be fooled by the pics. I called in advance to ask how much a mani/pedi was? I was told $30 and $7 for eyebrows. This shop is very clean and looks beautiful at first glance, however, the spa chair i sat in for my pedicure was broken. But it was the only one available, as all the others chairs had customers. Everytime they turned on the spa jets, the jet thingy inside the water kept falling off. So let's just say it didn't start off on the right foot. No one ever told me that the pedicures have special packages, and that other stuff cost more. After the initial soak, and scrape of my feet, the tech was putting lotion on. I had to ask him to go back and scrub the parts he missed. I was expecting to get a warm towel but on my legs and feet, like the lady next to me. Only that didn't happen. So after getting my toes polished, I asked about it, and was told I didn't pick that package. WHAT PACKAGE!! I walked in, said I wanted a mani/pedi and was told to sit in #6. That's it!! No menu of packages...no custom items to enhance my pedi, just have a seat. Oh well too late, nothing I can do now. I have polish on my toes. So when it came down to the manicure, it was worse!! I have never had a manicure without soaking my fingers in soapy water. I was given a bowl of plain warm water and told to soak...for all of 30 seconds. Then this female tech comes and start cutting my cuticle..OUCH!! Since it isn't soft, she actually hurt my fingers several times. Next thing I knew she was putting lotion on my hand. I never even got a chance to WASH my hands. as i was still sitting in the pedicure chair. My hands were very grimy when I walked in. I knew this, but I also figured, that i would be able to wash them after the cuticle oil was put on my fingers. Wrong again. My hands were wiped with a dry towel, and my fingers were sprayed with alcohol. Next thing I knew she was putting top coat on my fingers. WAIT A MINUTE!! Are you even going to scrape the dirt from under my nails, i asked and she said...where show me the dirt. Are you serious, dirt automatically looks dark under nail beds...at least 4 fingers had dirt!!So she scraped them and then finished polishing. At this point, having my eyebrows done was not going to happen...didn't want to walk out missing an eyebrow. So I got ready to pay, and the same chick, charges me $35. Wait...what!! Then she smiles and says oh i sorry...my mistake, we void it!! That's alot of mistakes from this shop. So then when I told her, that because of her mistake, my card would decline, because the money was just temporarily processed, she got all huffy about me paying. I just transferred the money on my phone, so i could get out of there. NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL I GO THERE!! The part that makes it sooo bad, was i was willing to spend a lot on the mani/pedi and eyebrows, because my husband was sending me there as a pregnancy spa day, i'm due in a few weeks, and he just wanted to make me feel special. I give 2 stars because the guy who has done my nails twice did a good job. Negative stars for the lady I seen today. She cut me with drill today and cut my cuticles during a previous visit during a pedicure. I came in for repair and polish change. I had a chunk of nail missing on sidewall. She tried to just file my nail at a sharp angle until I showed her that was not pretty and you could see the chunk missing still. She reluctantly put gel on it and you could tell she doesn't normally do the nails. It still looks crooked with an uneven sidewall. Polish job looks like a child did it. This cost me $10!!! It looks worse than when I walked in! After being told polish is dry and I was good to go, I end up messing up the polish on 3 nails just putting on my seatbelt. I've been going to this place for about a year. It's just down the road from me and they are open late and on sundays. I've always enjoyed it there. As a previous review stated, Viv is amazing her nails, pedicures and waxing jobs are really good. Her and the lady that sits next to her do the most amazing artwork on your toes (we had a good laugh once with my friend when the both of us requested: everything BUT flowers! After chitter chatter between Viv and her Coworker, come to find out that this is a term hard for them to understand, just say: NO FLOWERS! lol) Recently I started working again so I cannot go during the day but when I showed up the last 4 times I was HIGHLY disappointed! Viv was only there on the last visit, and even though I had made an appointment and was 5 minutes early, she sat somebody else before me. I waited 30 minutes, as I thought maybe the lady just needed a quick nail fix, then I left and I will not go back! The other three times I was either turned away because it was "late" (6PM) and the gentleman told me my nails were fine and didn't need a fill (after 3 weeks!?!), then saw them close shop when i left. They just didn't want to work. The next time the other "new" guy from Dallas, just patched up my nails and said I was good to go. The nails were rippled and peeled the next day and another time I waited 1 1/2 and just left. What a waste of time. I hate it! This seems to be the thing in the area, once owners notice that they have a great shop/store/salon/restaurant/etc and have a good amount of customers, it always goes to crap. No bueno. read more

Yesterday I went to this place with my daughter and my friend's daughter to do our nails n pedicure done together. The staffs are very gossiping and staring at us the entire time in Chinese languages. When I did my nails the young man just took off to smoke while he had a lady to take over. As soon as I was done with my nails, I was seated in a massage chair ... The woman forgot to turn on the massage and was not telling me the prices for the package and didn't ask me what I wanted ... A day after our visit my heel was still not entirely done right with scrubbing and the painting on nails had fallen poff. My daughters nails they painted was faded . I m sure they had cheap products. I had to go over the next day to have them redo it even through they wanted to charge me other $80 ( $25 each for my daughter n mine pedicures & $ 30 full set nails, I had to argue them for the horrible job. This place went from bad to worse. Went with my two daughters and a friend for pedicures they sit us down my water was ice cold and my daughters was so hot her feet turned red like lobsters. A man came over to me first and started I had to tell him 3 times to cut my toe nails. He was telling me no they don't need to be cut even thigh my big toe nail was longer then my toe!!!! Told him again to cut them and then a 3rd time before he did. Then asked what pedicure package we wanted. Said for the kids the basic children's and my friend and I picked a super deluxe @ $35.00. So he proceeded with mine and I was watching what he was doing and thinking he isn't doing the things listed so I asked him are you going to do the exfoliation and his response was "no you don't need it, you don't have enough skin" whatever that means and I said but I being charged for it and he said "but you don't need it". As someone else claiming to be a manager started doing my friends pedicure I watched him and he was scrubbing her feet, massaging, exfoliating her feet and using an exfoliation scrub on her legs, none of this was done during my pedicure, and I said to her this other guy didn't do any of that she agreed cause she was witness to how fast he rushed my feet. He was done faster with my pedicure then the lady who did my one daughter's who only had one foot to do a basic pedicure on cause her other foot is in a cast!!! Anyway the "manager" doing my friends pedicure said you ordered the same as her I said yes then he asked the person who did my pedicure if he did all that stuff and he kept saying "I did, yes I did all that" I'm like you are joking right I even asked you during my pedicure why you are not these things and you said I didn't need it and he said yes you don't need the exfoliation, you don't have enough skin. I was very upset and instead of blowing up like I wanted too I kept cool for my kids. I told the manger before leaving I know what he did and didn't do to my feet and at best that was a basic pedicure and if I am paying for a service I expect to receive a service not for them to say well you don't need this or that but we will still charge you, No I don't "need" any of your services but I wanted them!!!!
