Tio Nacho has great Mexican food! They have options such as authentic Mexican Quesadilla and American style. I tried the spicy Mexican vegetarian quesadilla and really enjoyed the burst of flavor from the jalapeños and epozote leaves. I appreciate that they are vegetarian friendly and have a wealth of meat free options. The burrito is absolutely delicious. It contained of the best bean and rice mixtures I've had! I can't forget about the tres leches cake. This milky syrupy goodness keeps me coming back for more!

This is not how she's enchiladas are supposed to look or taste

I ordered here at least three times a week it's hit or miss this time I got cheese enchiladas so nasty I called them and told them they said that that's how they're made no they're not I will never order here again! Thank you that's $150 less per week you get from me!!!

Great place for Mexican food. Good nachos and burritos! Big potions for a reasonable price. Must come back again to try other items. I ordered the too nachos and a steak burrito. Great flavors!

This was my first visit back to La Casa since my initial visit back when they first opened. During…read moremy first experience, I wasn't too impressed and left a 3-star review. However, I'm happy to report that I dined here recently and had a better experience. Since the time of my initial review, La Casa remained in my periphery - mainly because my parents periodically visited and it was a frequent stop of one of my friends who lives in Bronxville. That being said, I was curious to check out La Casa again - and that opportunity came when my mother chose here to celebrate Mother's Day. La Casa is located just off the main commercial strips. The interior is pretty spacious with a bar towards the front of the restaurant and the main dining room split in two sections. The decor is somewhat under-toned with a cool color scheme and tasteful decor. This is in contrast with other Mexican restaurants that tend to go overboard with the kistch and warm colors. I will say the seats look a little tired, they could use some re-upholstering - and were a little lower to the ground than I expected. In addition to the indoor space, they have an outdoor section which was done up very nicely. The brunch menu contained a selection of apps, sides, quesadillas, tacos, and sides. We decided to start by splitting a few apps: brisket and al pastor tacos, a quesadilla, street corn, chips and guac, and more guac with tuna. All the apps were tasty - the biggest standouts for me were the quesadilla and the tacos which were all generously filled and had good flavor. For my main, I got the camarones a la diabla which were shrimp in a red pepper sauce placed atop beans and paired with bok choy. The dish was pretty good - the shrimp could have been a bit snappier, but I appreciate that they de-shelled them and the sauce and beans worked well with them. Dare I say the bok choy was the star of the dish? It had just enough flavor and added a needed green. We opted for dessert, and I got the grilled pineapple which was paired with (per the menu) vanilla ice cream or guanabana sorbet. I wasn't asked to choose, and was served the sorbet. I would have liked to have been given the option, but maybe that's all they had - fwiw the sorbet was good. The pineapple was candied and came as a large, thick ring - definitely needed a knife and fork to cut it up (which they provided); this was a good dish in concept but I think it can be executed better. Service was good, everyone was friendly and efficient. In my experience, service tends to be the weakest component of a meal on a holiday, but they did a great job. Overall, I had a good experience at La Casa. Even though it's not in my backyard, I would definitely return if the opportunity presented itself.

Service & staff were 5 stars they were sensitive & understanding since we had 2 small children…read more Food was average. It is an upscale restaurant with upscale prices, & small portion sizes. I got the chicken quesadilla which was very good, wish it had a little more spice. Husband had the mushroom tacos which alone seems more like an appetizer also needed more flavor. Vegan cheese cake was very unique option. Needed a little more sweetness.

Everything felt watery, and while I understand that some locations may cater to people who prefer milder food with more moisture, it just didn't work for me. I had the beef birria. The texture was all right, but it was very saucy without much kick. It honestly tasted more like a generic meat filling rather than something with the bold flavor I'd normally associate with birria. The rice was forgettable, there were a lot of chips, and the drinks were okay. This was just an average spot. I wouldn't come back unless they made some noticeable improvements. Maybe if you're tired and just need a quick pit stop, it could work as a one-time group experience.

I think they may have added the cilantro cream sauce because I mentioned it after I saw it listed for another dish on the menu - not sure if it's usually on there - but was a great addition and would recommend. The whole dish was tasty. I did notice on the menu that their drinks are on the pricy side - 14 for a piña colada, for instance. This dissuaded me from getting one. Feels a bit unreasonable to have drinks and entrees be similar prices. The waiter was attentive and efficient. The environment is casual, relaxed, yet festive. Great place to go to wind down a week.
