So I was referred this place by an old friend, and when I first would eat here the food was amazing. I had just moved to the area and was trying to find a good Mexican restaurant and I was like this is going to be my go to, however idk what happened, they changed their takeout boxes to trays, the portions changed, and then the flavor just fell off. Idk if it's the equipment they use in the kitchen, the soap to clean the equipment, a new chief. But it's not or at least for me , it's not the same anymore. Feels lackluster. Love the food, but will not be going here anymore. I handed the cashier my money, held my hand out for change, she looked me in the face and placed it on the counter. I was rudely and indirectly told by the person preparing the food to order my food in the Spanish. This made me feel uncomfortable and was awkward in context. The customer behind me saw this encounter and didn't even wanna ask for the same item, he just pointed and said "I'd like to of those, too". Tio Nacho has great Mexican food! They have options such as authentic Mexican Quesadilla and American style. I tried the spicy Mexican vegetarian quesadilla and really enjoyed the burst of flavor from the jalapeños and epozote leaves. I appreciate that they are vegetarian friendly and have a wealth of meat free options. The burrito is absolutely delicious. It contained of the best bean and rice mixtures I've had! Wow! What a gem and what a find! This no-nonsense Mexican joint is simply the best! I will defiantly be adding this to place to my "visit frequently" list. So what makes this place so good? Well, first up is the fresh, made-to-order food. On this first visit, I had the Wet Burrito with ground beef and verde sauce on top. What a treat! This giant stuffed burrito featured rice, beans, cheese, lettuce, and THE MOST FLAVORFUL AND SUCCULENT ground beef inside! The verde (green) sauce on top was equally flavorful and had just a bit of spice--I mean, seriously, it was THE perfect amount of spice! For a side dish I had the corn, which was topped with cojita cheese and a yummy lime salt! Tony was with me on this viait, and he went all healthy, ordering a grilled chicken salad. It looked pretty good, and he said it tasted great... but I assure you he had food envy looking at my plate and the plates of our neighboring diners. The other thing that stood out on this first visit was the kind and helpful staff. And oh so jovial! They certainly made the experience even better. I wish I could give five stars but I found something very disturbing when I went to pick up my food. Since we are all quarantined, I've been trying places that's been on my list for awhile. So I placed my order and went to pick up my food. When I arrived I noticed one lady was packing the to go orders with no gloves and no mask on. There were two men at the grill that had masks on BUT the masks where on their chins - you could see their full faces and they were having a conversation. When I questioned the cashier about why they don't have their masks on her response was they do have them on and that they are only working the grill and not cooking the food (whatever that means). I explained to her that having on a mask means your face needs to be covered - the men looked at me and kept right on talking. I was pretty turned off by this but since I had already paid for my meal I took it and left. I have to admit the food was very good. I ordered the shrimp diablo which comes with rice and a salad - the shrimp were spicy, the rice and salad was good. I also ordered two Mexican corn on the cobs - they were good as well...just a little too much of the mayo sauce for me. I would really like to go back for another meal. I hope the owner sees this review and demand that the staff wear masks and gloves at all times. read more

I love Mexican food! One of the reasons is because of the bold tastes, I ordered take out from here for the first time during COVID19, for ~$40 I got a steak burrito, and crunchy fish burrito with chocolate cake. Sadly, the food was disappointing. The cake was dry, and the burritos weren't flavorful, they were small portions, they came with a very mild nearly tasteless green sauce and no sour cream, not even in the dish. I feel like the order was $$$ for a rather conservative portion, but the fact that it was all so tasteless will keep me from ordering from here again. Happy Yelping! read more

Sexiest Mexican food in Yonkers for its price, I could be bias because I live two blocks away but I did go through an addictive Uber Eats period where this was all I ordered for 3 months and I am very much alive and well, thriving even! The American chicken quesadillas are heaven-sent, with sour cream and salsa verde, trust me... (if anyone is into astrology I have Venus in 2nd House that's all you need to know). If there's a tinga option as the protein/meat, please get it you can never go wrong with that option-it's amazing and seasoned well, the chicken is also a safe bet. The carne asada is great for the tacos, not the most delicious option for the quesadillas though. Tortilla chips, phenomenal, I mean you can never go wrong. I usually order from Tio Nacho on Seamless so I didn't even need to come on Yelp but I absolutely love this place! I've never been in person but every time I order it's always on point. I've had their crunchy burrito bowl which is so unique and yummy and their regular burritos as well as their 'The Vision' juice which was fresh pressed fruits and I'm so impressed! It's all so good. This is the last time that I will ever order from them. I'm paying for them to deliver it to my home and they refuse to come upstairs. Then they call me and say they cannot find any parking spots when I'm looking at them out the window in my building driveway where they can park1) and they had two people in the car so they could've easily gone upstairs2) there must've been 20 readily available parking spaces. Amazing, my go to spot when I'm craving Mexican food. I've been here more times than I can count and every time has been amazing! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, my favorite is the crunchy burrito bowl with the chicken tinga. It's so full of chicken that I can never finish it, I always have to take half home. The patio is gorgeous and perfect for the spring/summer. They are also dog friendly, so I can bring my buddy to eat outside with me and enjoy the weather. I went there to get a Horchata, but since it's getting cold outside, I told them no ice because we are in December and it's cold outside The young man approached a coworker and started talking about how I always came in to get that drink Which made me feel uncomfortable because why is it a problem? Ordered carry out today from Tio Nacho. I was very impressed. I called and ordered for delivery. I was recommended to do it that way because I have heard grub hub sometimes doesn't get orders correct and it takes longer. Food came around 15 min after I placed it which was perfect timing. I ordered the burrito bowl with brown rice, black beans, chorizo, and all the fixings except for tomatoes. It came with two sides of sauces. One was mild and one was spicy. The spicy was very good.
