Tiny's Carnival Sweets & Treats sells snacks and beverages typically sold at the circus or county fair. My favorite item on their menu is obviously the funnel cakes! I usually have to wait for special events or festivals with dessert vendors to come to SJ, or travel to Santa Cruz or SF to get my fix of this sweet treat. And most places aren't open late. So I'm glad to have discovered Tiny's Carnival in downtown SJ who just had their grand opening this past weekend. Not only do they serve funnel cakes here, but they are GOOD funnel cakes, made just like what you'd get at an actual carnival, possibly even better. I ordered mine with strawberry and chocolate drizzle for $8. It came with whipped cream on top and strawberry slices. It was tasty and sweet, but not too sweet. Just right. It was also freshly made, with delicious fried dough, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. The setting was clean and bright, with playful and colorful artwork on the walls and ample seating, as well as a small bar with TV's. Service was friendly, and wait time was minimal. Note, they only accept cash, Zelle, or Apple Pay (no credit card payments as of Feb 2026). That's a bit inconvenient for me, but I was pleased with my overall experience nonetheless.

My coworker recommended this place as we all worked fairly close to this location. I had never tried a fried Oreo before and was eager to try after hearing how good they were. They have maybe 3-4 different options of Oreos but I decided on the regular one since it was my first time. It was so so good and now I can't wait to try all the other flavors. My biggest worry with fried food is the oil being old or tasting burnt but this was far from that and can tell by color as well. We also tried the lemonade and corn which was so good. I look forward to trying the different options of food/drinks they have here. The manager was extremely sweet and food didn't take very long. Go support this new business!

The mini banana split funnel cake was amazing! I could eat it everyday. The churro was ok a bit dry. The lemonade was delicious. Took a bit of time for the food to come out but it was worth the wait!

Stopped by Tinys carnival Treats we got the lemonades which were very delicious and fresh. We also got the slushy with different flavors and the funnel cakes, cotton candy great vibes good music lots of places to sit outside and inside the restaurant was super clean parking was easy along the street or in the parking lot right next-door check this one out late night or afternoon.

All the fresh squeezed lemons. Perfectly balanced in taste. So refreshing.

This spot brings carnival-style food to downtown San Jose in a way that feels relaxed and family-oriented. The menu covers a lot--churros, loaded potatoes, Cajun corn, corn dogs, funnel cakes, shaved ice, chicken wings, cotton candy, and fried Oreos--but it's also a place where you can actually sit and stay awhile. I tried the buttery popcorn and the fresh-squeezed lemonade. The lemonade stood out immediately-- it's made with loads of real lemons, and they don't overdo the sugar. I love lemonade but don't get it at too many places because it's overly sweet. Will definitely be back for this! It's balanced, refreshing, and honestly better than most lemonade you'll find around. There's a small outdoor patio that works well for families, plus a TV in the back, which makes it feel more like a hangout than a grab-and-go spot. It's warm, welcoming, and easygoing--somewhere you can spend an afternoon or evening without feeling rushed. They're open until 10pm, which is a nice bonus.

The five stars is for the ferris wheel painted on the side wall. Now that the carousel is gone from across the SAP Center, the only place outside of Christmas to see an an amusement park ride inside downtown might be on this wall. The closest coin operated horse machine might be at Story and King. The popcorn came closest to soaring towards the lower third of the tub. Out of the three places downtown that have machine made popcorn, Tiny's is the best place to bring the kids. The big screen TV's in there and the seating arrangements would make it a great place to have video game parties and tournaments in there, where you can get loud and boisterous without upsetting the neighbors, and not worry about kids spreading popcorn, soda and dripping ice cream all over the house. Take the Winchester or Santa Teresa lightrails to the St James Park stop. And it's a 5 minute walk from there.

A brand new snack and sweets spot in town specializing in carnival style treats, where adults can feel like kids again and the whole family can have a blast! I stopped by on opening day, and what a gem hiding in plain sight. You truly can't miss it, and stepping inside instantly brought back the best childhood memories. I sampled nearly everything on the menu, and every single item was a delicious, fresh made to order treat. For a drink, I chose the twisted kiwi lemonade, which was freshly squeezed right in front of me, so refreshing and flavorful! The staff is incredibly friendly, and the space itself is beautiful and spacious with plenty of seating. This place is destined to become a local favorite. Highly recommend checking it out!

Best experience ever, with great food and snacks. When you go see Isael for best service. Great guy who takes his job and customer service great. So good! My new favorite munchie/dessert place. The girl taking our order was really nice, and patient when we were ordering and looking over the menu. The funnel cake came out really quick too!! So service was pretty. We came last evening which was a Thursday and it wasn't packed at all. Plenty of seating and tables available. Also the music was really good lol Whoever is logged into their Spotify- love itttt it was a really chill vibe, family friendly too. I've been recommending it as a new dessert spot to people I talk to.

I ordered my favorite, dark chocolate almond clusters, as well as English toffee, chocolate peanut clusters, almond bark, and chocolate hazelnuts. It was delivered quickly and everything was nicely individually packaged. The two squares of English toffee I ordered were like two bricks. Massive and covered in powdery almond pieces. They tasted good, but were too hard and thick. I prefer smaller pieces of toffee rolled in larger pieces of almond. I wasn't too impressed with the almond clusters or bark, either. It tasted okay and had lots of almonds in each bite, but the dark chocolate was overly sweet and tasted like the type of chocolate used in grocery store candy bars, even though they make it right there. The dark chocolate peanut clusters were the best item. They had a wonderful touch of salt that was so delicious. I would definitely go back for more of those. Next time, I'd like to try a caramel apple and chocolate dipped strawberries. Both look scrumptious on their website.

Thank you for answering my questions, being patient, and being such a positive vibe as a whole. 4 stars overall because there were a few questionable bins containing candies that should immediate go into the trash. These candies were clearly crusty, discolored, and abnormally hard. Other than that, my kid greatly enjoyed her macaron and the special recipient was WOW'D by her gift. Mission accomplished!

The produce section was not as extensive as those at other Asian markets, but it was still adequate. However, the store carried many unique candies and snacks that I have not seen elsewhere. Notably, sakura flavored products were especially common during my visit. There were two large sections dedicated to premade meals, including rice bowls, hand rolls, onigiri, and sushi. The rolls seemed overly heavy on the rice, with relatively little fish filling. The prices also felt somewhat high for the portion sizes. However, the store offers a 20 percent discount on sushi and bento boxes daily after 6 PM. I ordered the nigiri combination, which included salmon, tuna, and scallop. The scallop was plump, and the tuna was sliced thickly. The salmon was slightly thin but still rich and fatty. Overall, the fish quality was good. The sushi rice was above average, with a distinct vinegar flavor despite being refrigerated. The total cost for the eight pieces was close to restaurant pricing, though the convenience factor partly justified it. I would rate this market a 3.5 out of 5 but rounded up for the good sushi rice. I would recommend shopping elsewhere for produce, but this is a good place for snacks and premade meals, especially after 6 PM.
