Also, really appreciate how there was no pushy sales tactics regarding booking another lesson. 100% will be booking another lesson. Took lessons from an older gentleman a few months ago who almost turned me off from seeking "professional" help; so glad I didn't. I had a swing evaluation yesterday and was…read moreexpecting to be underwhelmed by the analysis and Golftec's ability to quickly start improving my swing. I'm not sure why my expectations were low, but they were. But I was very wrong. I loved my eval with Logan Zoritec. He did a great job of quickly showing me my two biggest flaws (hands too high at the top of my backswing and -- consequently -- an over-the-top swing) and we immediately started working on some drills to improve my swing. I was impressed enough to sign up for 5 lessons on the spot with Logan. Aside from the rigorous video analysis and focused drills, I like how I can rewatch video snippets of Logan's video analysis to remember and reinforce his observations and recommendations after the lesson. Last comment: I'm a drills guy. I want someone to help me focus on one flaw at a time... provide teaching points and drills to help me fix the flaw... and then show me before/after videos so I can see for myself that our work has reduced or eliminated the flaw. That's exactly what I think I got yesterday. At $87 per 30-minute lesson, they are more expensive than some, and less expensive than others. The price does vary somewhat based on volume. It's worth noting that when you buy a bundle it comes with a completion deadline. For example, I need to complete my 5 lessons within the next 3 months. Not a problem, and Logan assured me they are flexible if illness or injury forces a refund or extended completion deadline. I'll update this review after my first 5 lessons. PS: I'm sure all the coaches are good, but for the record, I was very happy with Logan's insights and teaching style. PPS: Find a friend who is already a Golftec customer and have them refer you. Overall, this gym is fine, but it really needs to be upgraded in certain ways. The staff and the…read moreclientele are very nice, and it's very well priced - which is probably why it is also in need of upgrades. I'm sure it's not easy to keep it clean and updated on low membership rates. They have all the equipment you need for working out, but it's old. They also have a good variety of classes, though I wish there were more evening and weekend options. A couple of the teachers are outstanding (Denise, Laura, Norma). The dance classes are not very good. The locker room is clean and well maintained. The room for classes is really in need of a remodel. There is a big slope in the floor, and parts are peeling or cracked and need to be replaced. The equipment is often dusty and some things are just dirty. There is a lot of dust everywhere, and they don't wipe down or sweep between classes, or disinfect the equipment in the gym or the exercise room. The mats get used and put back as is. Recently in a yoga class, I inhaled a mound of dust from being down on the floor and it was pretty gross! There are fans that need to be hosed down and every time they go on a little waft of dust comes out. I hate to complain because I'm grateful for the good things this gym offers (location, price, staff & members are very nice - no "scene" and nonsense!). But they also need to refresh a little bit would go a long way.
