We had originally contracted a company in Arizona who gave us a good quote to design and develop our website back in October 2014, it was due to be completed by Feb 2015. Communication started pretty well and I am confident we gave good direction which included a complete web brief and drawings of our expectations, we also paid a partial payment of $5,000. Shortly after signing the contract the designer went missing no calls no emails for over 2 weeks which is not great given the time scale we were working on, we did eventually hear back but it would take at least 24 hours to get an email reply (probably because the work was being shipped to India) and I could send in excess of 7 - 10 emails a day trying to get a simple answer, by the time Feb 15 passed we knew that the company was never going to produce the goods so we cut our losses. We thought it would be better to go with someone local that we could meet face to face, but little did we know that this wouldn't work out - the problem is a lot of designers and web design companies over promise what they can do and being that our project is a simple WP site I was flabbergasted that once again we had fallen into a trap (even though this guy was a recommendation and had good reviews) - and wasted our money on someone who claims they can build websites in 7 days! So we started to develop the site ourselves the problem being is that we do not code, we don't know PHP or CSS - so we became stuck again. Luckily enough I remembered in my initial research a company called Tiny Frog, so we reached out to Mikel the President and he kindly done some trial work for us so that we could see how good they were - A long story short (well as much as I can) is that Tiny Frog are a complete breath of FRESH AIR!
