I stayed at this hotel as part of a tour last month. We had a group of about 37 students and teachers with us. This hotel was perfect for our needs while on our way to Edinburgh.
The hotel is located near a small town so if nightlife is your thing, this is not your hotel. It's perfect, however, for a romantic getaway or a place where your teenagers won't get into trouble.
The grounds surrounding the hotel are very pretty. There's a little creek with footbridges at the back, and lots of space for kids to enjoy a game of football. If it didn't rain like crazy in Scotland, I'd also say it's a beautiful place to hold a family wedding.
The bar inside the hotel is cozy and friendly with a few locals stopping in for a pint.
The service was excellent as well. Although I didn't try the restaurant, they did appear to have a nice menu.
The best part about this hotel was that it was very well priced. I look forward to returning without teenagers in tow. read more
