Beautiful sports complex park
Kong L.

I was running some errands in Apex and decided to stop by for my daily walk. The parking lot is huge and wraps around the whole park. Although, there was a lot of parking; the park is quite boring with a huge soccer field, a small basketball court, a baseball stadium, and tennis courts. Also, a small play area that is closed for the time. Other than that, there's not much. I was hoping for paved trail that wraps around the facility. The closest thing were side walks. This would be a great place for a walk on a not so busy day but I would avoid it if there are events going on. Overall, super clean and well-taken care of!

Happy Birthday Sal!

What a beautiful stadium! Lots of covered seating (for just $1 more) in the shade or kept dry. Even huge fans to attempt air circulation. Great views of the field regardless of your seat. We were here celebrating Sal's birthday. This is the mascot Sal the Salamander. For $10 more it was all you can eat crappy ball park burgers and hotdogs, bags of plain ruffle chips and pre-popped old popcorn. Very limited toppings--basic condiments only, don't look for a slice of onion, tomato or lettuce. Came with all you can drink warm Pepsi served up by two overworked teenagers unable to see the end of the line. So if you're going to do the dinner special, come before first pitch. Beers are cold, not included in the all you can eat special. Field is beautifully manicured. Artificial turf looks great. Lots of free parking in dedicated safe well lit lots--easy in and easy out. Cute competitions between innings to get the kids involved. Great family fun--just not a fan of the all you can eat stadium food. When it's above 80 degrees crank up the fans to high!

My boys have been playing lacrosse for seven years In that time frame they have played in a numerous amount of facilities. Of course we have travelled the state of Florida, but we have also travelled to many other states including North Carolina, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Vermont. This past weekend my 13 year old played in the Raleigh Lax Fest in Ting Park, located in Holly Springs, NC. This was by far the nicest facility either of my boys have ever played at! For a few of his games, my son played at the 1800 seat multi sport stadium with a turf field. This field is home to a collegiate baseball team and has all the amenities one would expect from a small stadium including a digital scoreboard & sound system, lighting, and bathrooms! Believe me, my boys have played at plenty of facilities where all they had were nasty Porto Potties so I appreciated the large, clean, heated, indoor bathroom! It was so nice not having to put myself on a "liquid ration" because I was afraid to use the bathroom! In The stadium also had a concession stand. My son bought a few items there, including a pulled pork sandwich which was excellent. We were not on the baseball field all day. My son's team also played on the other beautiful pristine turf fields. I did not see them but I also understand Ting Park has eight tennis courts and two basketball courts. Thoroughly modern and comfortable facility....bar has been set!

They have a large community building which was open for people to use the restroom. They have two play structures and a swing set, all set atop a squish foamesq material. There is also a basketball court and a large dog park. Parking was easy, it seemed like most people had walked or rode their bike there, they are in the middle of a neighborhood and a Greenway stop. One play structure was designed for kids aged 2-5 and the other was for older kids. My son loved the baby swings! We will definitely head back to this playground again soon.

There's a large covered picnic area capable to seat 36-60ppl with 5 tables, 2 grills, $9/hour to rent but no electricity (Mami Nora's is down the street, so you could take your meal to go and eat it outdoors here!) The park includes a neighborhood center with a meeting room large enough to hold 85 people, rentable for $50/hour (which includes warming kitchen, tables and chairs). Overall, it's a good park, it seems to be a popular place to park and eat lunch on weekdays and a safe place to park and utilize the greenway.

Don't miss an opportunity to take in a ball game with the whole family. It is good clean fun, there isn't a bad seat in the entire place, tickets are reasonable($11 regular seat prices), decent concessions, cold beer, wine and hard ciders, soft drinks, popcorn and of course peanuts! Ask for seats in the shade and you'll end up under cover with huge fans providing a steady breeze for baseball fans. Ball teams are made up of college players and you'll see competitive games with players who hustle and amaze. NC is fortunate to be part of the Coastal Plain Baseball League with teams such as Macon Bacon, GA, Lexington County, SC Blowfish, Morehead City Marlins, Fayetteville, NC Swampdawgs, among others. Ample free safe parking available in a dedicated lot. No outside food or drinks allowed.

I was excited to hear this news since I love beer and baseball. The stadium is new and a nice size, the games are only $9 for adults. They have tons of bathroom stalls too. I am not sure about food and soda prices since I usually eat beforehand. But, I do know about beer prices. They have local breweries on tap, Brueprint, Bombshell and CBC, for $5/beer. And, for those of you that like water, I mean the Miller Lite drinkers, they have that as well. They also have wine from Adam's Vineyard. They do a ticket promotion (every home game I believe), $1 for 1 ticket, $5 for 10 tickets or $10 for your wingspan, and if you win you get half of the money collected, I have yet to win though. They also have a promotional schedule for the games throughout the season which includes nights such as Bingo, Thirsty Thursday and Christmas in July. I do like the Mascot, Sal! This was the first season and I think that it went great, they do have a few kinks to work out but I do think that it will get better with time!
