I still miss Dreamsports but this XL Sports World location is better than the Raleigh location. What are my dislikes? I do not like that they shortened the seasons and took away the tournament. We are still required to pay a membership fee which makes it more per season. Refereeing can be hit or miss which is very common for any sport. What are my likes? The staff is awesome They have draft beer and food which makes it a place to hang out after This is definitely my first choice for an adult soccer league. read more

At a 1030 am tag football game this morning. Can these coaches move any slower, show less interest, or be any more lethargic? I doubt it. Some plays 1/2 their team is looking the other way and so are they. Horrible talk about a lack of inspiration and role model leadership. read more

I could not be more disappointed with XL Sports in Apex. I had my son's 10th birthday there on March 10. It was a total disaster from the minute I step in the place at 4:10 pm. I arrived to find the party room set up for another party. The table clothes, cake and snacks were set and waiting for the other party to have cake time. When I asked what was going on, I realized there was only one manager and a staff person there. I had paid for the high end package and at that time I was informed that they would not have two employees to help. I had to set up an area outside the party room on my own, no help. Then the only one person that was there supposedly to help, just ran the clock and marked goals on the board. There was an incident were one child got hurt, the person there never left her spot and did not help us at all with the injury. We had to get ice from the manager. She never came to ask if the boy was okay. He had hit the glass wall hard with his head!! I am still shocked!! When it was time for pizza and cake, the lady disappeared, again, no help at all. We served it all and had to clean up and take our own gifts and everything to the car. If I did not have other parents helping, I would not have been able to do any sort of party. I know how bad it was because I had his party there last year and it was totally different. Had two guys helping the whole time. I have also been to several parties there and again the people had help. read more

Showed up at 7:15pm Stayed until 7:45 pm for pick-up hockey, turns out the they decided to close down early. The website says pick up hockey is from 7:30-9:00 This is one of many scheduling issues I've come across. It would be considerate to post an early closing rather than ignoring phone calls and causing myself and others to drive 45 minutes. Also I have emailed them and they never get back to me. read more

My son has been coming here for soccer now for 2 months. We just finished the summer session with coach Kevin and Drew. My son loves coming here for soccer and the coaches are great! Hopefully their schedule gets updated with more so we can come more often read more

My daughter enjoys going for her toddler soccer class here. I love how they are so sweet and gentle with the little kids. We signed my daughter up for spring lessons and now again for fall lessons. The uniform is too cute.I love that they have these classes for the younger kids! read more

Wow!! What an amazing facility! There are so many things for kids to do from track out camps to hockey, soccer and more. My son has had his birthday party here and the staff did an amazing job. He has been playing on their hockey teams for the past couple of years and loves it. The place has a new owner and it's great to see how all the updates has improved the facility. read more

This is the only Inline Hockey rink within several hours. The facility is good, but the management is poor. We've had issues with scheduling and billing. Today we were supposed to play at 9am and they didn't show up until 9:30 to open the building. This is not the first time this has happened and it's very frustrating. We went for the free open house. My daughter had so much fun. My husband and I even had fun! There was tons of people there but the place was so big and had so much to do that it didn't seem crowded. Staff was friendly. We will definitely be going back! read more

Both of my kids joined a league here this fall for the first time, after having done various rec leagues elsewhere. This is a great program for technique/fundamentals. Both kids have learned far more in this one season alone than in all other seasons elsewhere combined. It's a bit different...games don't feel as much like the games we were accustomed to, they play the same kids every week. Coach Mark and the other coaches are great...if you're looking for a program where your kids will learn a ton from coaches who actually know what they're doing, this is a great option. And it won't break the bank like some other leagues with trained coaches. read more

I would write zero star if possible. Not once in my life have I had a good experience there. I signed up to play soccer for u15 and it was terrible. The refs make terrible calls and are often unfair. 2 out of the four coaches that coached weren't even fluent in english which made it difficult to learn from half of the coaches. The nets on the soccer fields aren't level, making the calls of whether the ball hit the net or not(gives the ball to the other team) inconsistent. During the games the calls by the refs(who are the coaches) are very inconsistent as well, like fouls, hand balls and other things. During the half in the soccer games the coaches would recap the half and tell us what to improve upon. But the feedback that they give was in-accurate. A 14 year old new more about the sport than the coaches. You would be better off playing challenge at ncfc. Now the smell. They sell beer and "fast foods" like nachos there. This would be fine if it weren't for the smell. It smelled terrible in the building and the smell would stick to clothing. I didn't even bother checking the sanitation rating. I could guess by the state of the rest of the building. In all honesty I wouldn't be surprised to find a stash of illegal stuff in the break room. All this stuff is the same for raleigh location except the refs. The refs are hired rather than them being the coaches. The refs in the raleigh location act high. Like bad calls then when they get asked for what it is they slur their response. read more

My son enjoyed going there. He started soccer with them when he was 2yrs old and played until he was 6years old. We loved it.

Wow. so poorly organized! They don't offer all of the sports they say they do - and communication is awful!!! No response to email/phone inquiries. Also, they do the same exact thing every week, even my five year thought it was boring (and he thinks running circles around the couch is fun). It is a good facility, seems like they could easily do a better job. Also attended a recent b-day party, was a hot mess! No one knew where to go, finally got them onto the play space. The 20+ kids (5 year olds) were given one ball to play a game with with no guidance - complete chaos that lead to tears and frustration from kids and parents. read more

Fun for the kids. Staff is impossible to get a hold of. Good luck getting anyone to call you back even if they left you a voicemail to call them because they have to cancel the session due to lack of participants. Literally these guys will either just not return a call or a teenager will pick up the phone and tell you a manager will have to call you back which never happens. I've had at least 3 situations this year where I would never get a call back and had to drive in to get something answered. They have your money so I guess why call you back, right? read more
