    Headed towards the trail.

Beautiful park to visit for runs, baseball games, soccer practice or fun on the playground. There's not much that Herndon Park doesn't offer. You'll find bathrooms and water fountains (open except in cold season), picnic tables with grills and even a concessions stand open when baseball season is in. Herndon Park also offers a great park-and-run spot for the American Tobacco Trail. You'll start around mile parker 10-9.45 and can run on either paved or the parallel gravel path out of Durham County and into Chatham County. You'll find lots of parking at Herndon Park and plenty of tall trees (which you'll also loves while running the ATT--plenty of shade!).

Morrisville Community Park - Taken July 28, 2024...playground in park closed for construction.

We were heading up to the Morrisville area and decided to stop at this park for some exercise. We…read moreended up walking a little over 2 miles on the greenway and enjoyed it. In addition to the greenway there is a playground, picnic tables, cornhole boards, areas for various sports and more.

Not massive but fair sized park facility including playground, shelter, playing and ball fields, etc. with paved walking/running path to use that connects to the adjacent Hatcher Creek Greenway. The Deets: During COVID-19 time, I've had a chance to walk over to Morrisville Community Park a couple of times to enjoy some outside time. It is easy to access by car with a parking lot off Morrisville Parkway, or you can walk there as I have using Hatcher Creek Greenway path access. From reading others' descriptions of the park, I expected it to be small (if you just considered the area around the playground) but I would say for Morrisville it's got a good bit of land to enjoy...I took plenty of pics of the areas I encountered). There is a children's playground area, and to the side of it appears to be a little outside fitness area to use. To the other side of the playground, a nice shelter area is available with adjacent bathroom facilities. I noticed a sign posted next to them stating that "this facility is cleaned and sanitized daily for your safety" which is good to know, especially now. When you past the shelter, there is a pretty large open playing field (?pickup games of football/soccer, etc.,?) and beyond that are ball fields. The field 1 is a 301 ft fence ball field and field 2 has a 200 ft fence distance, with both next to a nice facilities building. In between the open playing field and fields 1 & 2, there is a smaller ball field (field 3) that appears to be under repairs at the time of this writing. Park users can enjoy a nice paved walkway around all of the park area, and it connects up with the Hatcher Creek Greenway on both sides of the park. It makes for a nice loop in itself for a good walk or to go on further to the greenway for more exercise. In all, As with the greenway, I find Morrisville Community Park a great resource that the town of Morrisville provides to the public for use, especially when you need your exercise to be in an outside setting. I am a fan!

I can't say this often for indoor playgrounds (as they are typically overstimulating and smell like…read morefeet) but I'm elated to write this review today about Hyper Kidz in Durham, NC. Our experience was top notch. The prices are extremely affordable compared to other indoor playgrounds and trampoline parks and they also offer a military discount on top of that. The soft play was executed well. We've been to several play places around the US to include Urban Air, Get Air, Jump Sky High (all trampoline parks) and Kids Empire type places and this one was the best out of all of them. The availability of separate play spaces for different ages was awesome. However, I truly believe the main reason this experience was as positive as it was is mostly due to the management of Daquan (DQ) and his staff. DQ was cleaning the entire time we were there. From vacuuming, to spraying and wiping down, to tidying up and interacting with kids... he was doing it all with excellence. His other staff member was super friendly as well. If other places had employees with work ethic even a tenth of the caliber DQ had, the world would be a better place and businesses would thrive. Hyper Kidz should take note and take good care of him! DQ, if you see this and want a career change in Florida, feel free to reach out and connect!

And I love how they separate the little kids and babies from older kids. Make sure you have socks for kid and adults. The check in process was super easy. To register and sign a waiver.
