Beautiful trails with hardly anyone around!
    Ali R.

During the COVID-19 quarantine, the parks and greenways in my part of town have been packed with people. North Cary Park is the one park that is like a hidden gem with empty trails and wide open grassy areas. At 2:00 in the afternoon, there were just a few cars in the parking lot. The well-marked trails have beautiful streams, bridges and benches. I think I'm being extremely generous by sharing this with my Yelp family because I have loved having this place all to myself!

It's a fantastic park. This is my first visit after more than a decade. It's like a mini version of William umstead state park or Eno River state park. The hiking distance is perfect for beginners. View on the trail is very beautiful. Playground, slides and swings are well maintained. The statue and rocks even remind me park in Washington DC. Glad to be back.

This a nice park, with covered picnic tables, a play area, and beach volleyball courts. Parking is plentiful, and there are restrooms too. Sometimes my boyfriend take a lunch there, sometimes sometimes just go hang out and relax.

As a soccer mom for a Cary team, I've been coming to this park sometimes on a weekly basis for games and practices depending on the schedule. I will say the fields are considerably clean. Parking does get crowded if you come during a game!

The paved trails are quite nice taking you in and around the woods. I almost got lost the first time and started screaming I will survive! There are a few bridges crossing the creek passing through the area. Some wildlife around, I saw a hawk big enough that it could have picked me up by the collar and dropped me off at RDU airport for a connecting flight. Good path for exercising as it has some shaded parts by the trees keeping it cool during the summer. The restrooms were clean by park standards and has changing tables if you want to change your baby for another one (did you change the baby, no is still same baby).

GIANT SLIDE! Boulder to climb! Beautiful greenway adjacent. The gardens around the park are also really pretty. Such a fun suburb park!

One of our favorite parks in the areas. Huge slides, climbing rocks, greenways, picnic shelter and lots of open spaces and fields too.

Incredible park with something for everyone. Love love loved this park. It is in a nice shady area,…read morethere's playhouses, multiple picnic/patio table areas for parties and people to eat meals and/or snacks. It also has a big range of play equipment for different age ranges. Did I mention that I love this park? There are cool statues inspired from fantasy themes like a lion with a squirrel body or a tortoise with a hare's head as well as a giant sea monster on a hill, complete with a nest of eggs. There's also an area with water spray thingies. That's my best attempt at describing them. They had been off for the winter but they're back on since a couple weeks ago! The kids love it especially with the weather heating up!

"Can we go to the dinosaur park, mommy?" I don't think he fully gets the difference right now…read more There is a large dragon sculpture that kids can climb on but there's no dinosaurs. The park is in heavy usage and it seems like due to this, likely, there are often things broken here. A bench, a fence, etc. There are multiple different play areas and a water play area. It's a delightful park to visit. We have played here for two hours straight. There is a covered picnic area that you can rent and people often do so for kids birthdays. The variety of play experience make this play so popular - sandbox with play excavators, climbing areas, platform rocks, a tree house area, dragon area, water play, slides and Roller slides, instruments, young kids play areas. This park is recommended (by me).
