I am really disappointed about the little petting zoo they have here. Never did I ever think, my first time coming to a petting zoo would be depressing as fuck. I came here with my boyfriend on Saturday at 5:30 p.m and it was chaos. Let's start off with the condition of the poor animals... You could tell they were annoyed, exhausted, hot, etc. We felt so bad for them that we didn't really bother interacting with them too much because we wanted to give them their personal space for air. The poor sheep was panting so much that it was worrisome. The ponies were exhausted as well walking around in circles with no fan and constantly carrying a kid after kid on their backs. Now let's talk about the staff. There was this one female who wasn't even supervising the animals or the people that were in there. Her lazy 600lb fatass was sitting in a chair with not a care in the world. The other brown bitch (I am brown/latina too) kept letting people in, MIND YOU the petting zoo is small. She should have had a limit on allowing people in. It got sooooo crowded that it got super hot in there because of so many people. All that body heat got me fucken light headed. Last but not least the kids with the parents. KEEP an eye on your muthafucken kids. Smh! Instead of being an egocentric, narcissistic fuck flexing for Instagram/snapchat why don't you discipline your kids on how to treat animals better. Nothing fancy (unless you swoon at the sight of a miniature labyrinth of hay-bales as I do, which they have here), but a convenient fun little place to take kids for pumpkin. Pumpkins are priced fairly for the pumpkin patch market, which is to say more expensive than Trader Joes but less expensive than places like Underwood Farms. And children are allowed in the pen with them (almost stepping on them). I wouldn't be surprised if half those animals die by the time this thing is over. A disgusting place filled with very sad animals. It's shocking these people haven't been busted for the way they are treating livestock. Heartbreaking, depressing. My six year old daughter did a pony ride and we felt terribly guilty for having allowed her to do it after watching those sad creatures slowly move around in a dreary death march. However, our guilt was replaced by anger when the stupid kid working the "ride" wouldn't help her off her pony and she scraped herself badly while dismounting. And then laughed about it. This was followed by a stint in the bouncy house which can only be described as a walk through a prison yard during a riot. Completely unsupervised and overcrowded. It is also overpriced. We were looking for a cool pumpkin patch to take our little ones. We went to Pierce College, but they closed down. We had to find a pumpkin patch!! So we needed some Yelp to get us to the right place. Tina's came up with great reviews and I can see why. At first I wasn't so impressed but as you go in there is plenty for the kids to do, and the best part is that it is not a crazy wide spread area where you need to run after them because you don't know where they'll end up. There is the tent of pumpkins, there is a small pony ride, there is a small petting zoo area, there are 3 bouncers (one is more of a large slide than a bouncer), there is a small train that takes you around, there is a small hay stack maze, and there are really old school mechanical rides in the corner. Needless to say, with all that, my daughter had a blast in the bouncer, then running to the other bouncer, then running to the maze, then sitting on the little train, then the pony, then the petting zoo, then the slide bouncer, then the train again... She was all over and everything is so close and tight knit that we pretty put our stuff down in one area and go around. A few things - in my opinion ages 2-4 will enjoy this place more than 5+ because it is fairly confined and they don't run around like crazy. The bouncers and the petting zoo are great for all kids, but the train, the maze, and the pony ride are mainly for little ones... Overall, the fact that there is no entrance fee and you only pay for the things you want to go on and can take 1000 pictures without a problem is awesome. I think this place is awesome and deserves 5 stars. The only thing I would recommend to this place is to have your staff smile more, lol. They all look kinda sad to be there. Everything was fine until... I went to pay and both my debit cards got blocked for some reason. I called Wells Fargo and they said the block was coming from the merchants end. Wells Fargo released the hold and I attempted to run the card for second time. Blocked again! The bank doesn't know what happened but told me Tina's pumpkin patch is a high risk merchant and that the automated fraud system may not trust them. This is what really got me....The guy at the register (seemed like Tina's husband) was very cold in telling me "sometimes we get a bad card" and "did you spend your money somewhere else?" implying that spending money else where would make me broke and not able to buy a few pumpkins. Even my wife thought he was being rude. I left and ran my card elsewhere, it was just fine. I felt like he purposely said those things because I'm in an inter-racial relationship and it pissed him off. Not saying that's what it was, that's just how I felt. My 5 1/2 year old had a really good time on the rides. The staff was super nice and accommodating. Pumpkins were reasonably priced. The only erk for me was the Petting Zoo. One person kept picking up the animals, which was not supposed to be allowed and clearly not cool for the pig or goat. We've been here every year for the last 4 years and love it. We even held our daughters 2nd birthday there and plan to hold her 4th birthday celebration there as well. The pumpkin selection is great and there's so much for the kids to do there. There are pony rides, a petting zoo, and MULTIPLE bounce houses! You can spend hours here and it's worth it. We visited this pumpkin patch on 10/26/19 , we decided to take the drive down to The Valley from west la because most pumpkin patches around our area have an admission fee. I can say the pros about this place was the no admission you just purchase the amount of tokens you want and for what activities you want . Let's talk about the cons . Each token is $3 and most activities take 2 token so a pony ride is $6 . Not to mention poor horses are exhausted of the amount of rides they give . We were in line waiting for about 40 mins for my toddler to get on a horse once in front of the line one of the horse refuse to keep walking and started Leaning his head down and the worker tugged on his hardest to get his head up. Not to mention my mother asked the worker if they get water because the heat in The Valley is extremely hot on top of the fires going made the heat worse !!! Not once in the 40 mins waiting did they get water ... To top it off the dirt on the floor is bad. So the amount of people + sun shade tents = a dust devil . This gets stuck to your throat u can hardly breath. I give this place a 3 star cuz they have good activities but only if they were to change the animal treatment and the tents read more

This pumpkin patch is too expensive. There is no true spirit of the season. The people in charge are looking to make money and that seems to be it. Also it is very unsafe, there are many bouncy houses and they are not monitored at all, we did go on a weekday so maybe its different on the weekend but we did not stick around because we felt our daughter was unsafe. It's $3 to ride the train and they charge for parents. I actually saw the man in charge ask if a 1 year old was riding by herself because if not her dad needed to buy a token as well. Excellent experience for the kids - conveniently located with tons of parking, this is a pretty huge space for the young ones to run around, ride the "train," jump in the bouncers, run through a maze of hay and just be kids. The pumpkin selection, ironically, is not very grand but the ones that they do have are fine. This is likely the last year in this location as the mixed-use development is slated to break ground in 2016. This place is incredibly sad: the pin for the animals is way too small, I got to watch children pretty much beating and abusing the petting zoo animals, hitting and choking rabbits because the parents decided to let a 3 year old inside a petting zoo ALONE, so overall the animals and children are very unsupervised even though there is someone monitoring the gate. The staff was very helpful and all wearing masks, but I was a bit uncomfortable because no one was enforcing any social distancing and there were quite a bit of people there. It's not the staff's fault that even while waiting in line people would come up close to us, but it would have been much better if they had markers or people enforcing some social distancing.
