Walking toward my gate I noticed this place. It seemed clean and simple. They had a variety of sandwiches, bakery items (croissants, muffins, bagels) and perishable items such as parfaits. I was debating between the turkey and swiss on a cranberry baguette, turkey and brie on a baguette, or something simple like a muffin and croissants. The sandwiches were $8 and sitting in a glass case pre-made. I didn't want to take the chance having a disappointing expensive sandwich so I decided on a Banana Nut Muffin and a Spinach and Feta croissant. Each were $3; not too bad considering I was in an airport. The Banana Nut muffin wasn't anything extraordinary. It had plenty of nuts on top but lacked a significant banana flavor. The outer edges were crispy which didn't bother me and the inside was soft as a muffin should be. The muffin was average and satisfied my sweet tooth. The Spinach and Feta croissant was pretty good, but it was more dense than a croissant should be although it was still tasty and flaky. There wasn't an abundance of the spinach feta mixture but it was just enough. It was obviously not fresh spinach or feta, but a mushy mixture of the two. It had the consistency and almost taste of spinach artichoke dip. I found it pretty good, but if you're not a fan of such textures then it probably isn't for you. The size of it wasn't very big, but it was enough for a snack. Overall, for a lunch/snack I think the place isn't bad for airport food and the prices were as good as they can be at an airport. The staff wasn't overly pleasant, but I didn't expect them to be.

Still this place had so much history with the area and its mismatched decor is a part of its charm. Change may be good.
