Shop in the Downtown core located in Vancouver…read more This is literally the finest cigar shop in all of Down Town Vancouver perfectly close to the cruise ships at 881 Dunsmuir Street. Upon the first and every other visit after for this reviewer prices are cheaper then I've ever seen for the selection they carry. Gregory and Tatiana are the owners and they absolutely make you want to make this the only location that you will want to go. I would give these guys a million stars not just 5 they make you feel like family. I personally had the fear and doubts originally looking very high end that they would be pricey, but like I said upon entering and talking to Gregory and Tatiana for a few minutes all concerns were laid to rest. They have all price ranges for cigars and other fine products in store and on the website or you can call during business hours and Gregory or Tatiana will be happy to answer any questions you may have. I am telling you though just stop in anytime during business hours of operation and see for yourself that 2000 cigars will make you pleased with your purchases and the experience and vibe when you walk in is very calm serene with a warm friendly vibe like family I've been twice now and neither time left disappointed even when trying different products. so once again worth your time of day any time compared to other cigar shops. Thank you again Gregory and Tatiana, you both make me feel like im home every time I've been in, thank you both for going above and beyond for your stores customers and clients.

In all my years of reviewing and traveling the globe this is the first time I have felt…read morediscriminated against. Date of Incident: Friday, Aug 1, 2025 around 12 pm. Here's what happened...... I walk in looking for a specific Cigar. The store clerk helping one male customer. So really it's just the three of us now in this tiny store. The clerk sees me and shoots me a dirty look. No problem. Maybe his dog is sick or something.... I don't know. I wait 5 min, 10 min, 15 min. No Hello. No I'll be right with you. Nothing. Not a single gesture of acknowledgement....of not only a customer but another human being that just happens to walk into your establishment. Bizarre. Going on 20 min now. I started to feel very uneasy and uncomfortable, as I was now being overtly ignored, and me being the Alpha-A type personality that I am....I wasn't just going leave and have someone ignore me like that. So.....I turned to the clerk who literally pretended I was a fly on the wall, and said...."If I could please get some service, I'm in a bit of a rush." He then with a pissed off reluctant look came my way. Even when he attended to me I felt this hostile energy from him I could not understand, and certainly was unfamiliar with, as I had never experienced anything like that. Ever. What was interesting was that the other customer felt bad for me, and apologized to me. It turned out I just had a question about a product and had to wait 20 min to ask it from a store clerk who pretended I was not there. Upon leaving the store there was only one thing that I was unsure of. Was it the fact that I was a Female or a person of colour that my business was not welcome?

Kinda pricey but what do you expect of Cubans and great service. Would visit again them againread more

For the last dinner on our Vancouver vacation. I booked seafood-centric Boulevard Kitchen, which is…read morean easy walk from our hotel. It has numerous awards, including award-winning head chef Roger Ma and award-winning pastry chef Kenta Takahashi. The vibe is dark, initiate, but very welcoming too. Very family-friendly restaurant with an elevated kid's menu. Service was friendly and very attentive from all the staff. I was genuinely shocked and pleased that my son enjoyed his kid-sized steak frites. They were cooked medium but had a good amount of pink, but he taste a bit, them some more, and eventually like 80% of the entree. The fries were crispy and not oily at all, which was great. Wife's Miso Sablefish was luxurious - thick, super-moist, and well balanced in sweetness. It came with a crispy fish skin for good measure. Much better than the Butterfish we normally get at Roy's restaurants in the USA. Apparently, many Vancouver seafood restaurants offer some variation of this dish. My Loong Kong Chicken was just average compared to my wife's and son's dishes. The meat was well seasoned, but I learned afterwards that the Loong Kong chicken breed has a thicker, fattier skin and firmer meat than a typical chicken. So it may not be the best choice if you're looking for moistness. Also, the addition of Tzatziki and dill gives some tartness that I did not like as much. My son, after filling up on the steak frites did not want any more chicken either. Other dishes we ordered were the Kid's Rigatoni with cheese and garlic shrimp, Octopus La Plancha, and Broccolini. All are good shareable dishes. We saved room for dessert this time and went for the Jasmine Panna Cotta which has mango and lychee flavors for a nice refreshing end to a protein-rich meal. It's a bit on the smaller side, so in hindsight she should have ordered another richer dessert. Next time.

Stopped in after dinner because it was conveniently attached to the hotel. We ordered a couple of…read moredesserts and drinks. The drinks were fine, and the banoffee cake was actually delicious. Unfortunately, the tiramisu was very disappointing. It was mostly cream with very little actual tiramisu. The Earl Grey/floral cream completely overpowered the dish, and the balance was completely off. It ended up tasting more like a bowl of perfumey cream than tiramisu. The bigger issue was the service. Our waitress with red hair came across as condescending and dismissive toward us, which was especially frustrating in a public-facing hospitality role. What made it more uncomfortable was that she seemed noticeably warmer and friendlier with other guests, so the difference in treatment felt obvious. I can't say for certain what the reason was, but the inconsistency left a bad impression and made the experience feel unwelcoming.
