Dishonest. They "ran out of stock" of reasonably priced torches and tried to send me to a local convenience store instead. There was another very good cigar shop just down the street that is much more reasonably priced with a great selection. Being dishonest does not promote good customer service. read more

Awesome cigars, very nice people that work there. Decent prices. I hope to visit again.

I strolled pass this cigar shop numerous times and suddenly remembered - I can get Cubans! I made a few small purchases with the help of the owner/employee - who showed me some more feminine cigars. But true to Farrah fashion (sorry for the third person reference), I went for the strong, Earthy and mineral-ey flavors. read more

Yesterday was my first visit to this store. The owner and his son where very helpful and knowledgeable. They explained the type of cigars, didn't try to up sell they were genuinely helpful. After 5pm they have a smoking lounge. You may enjoy a cigar purchased at the store in nice comfy chairs. If you know little to nothing about cigars, this is the place you'll want to start your cigar journey. read more

Cigar Connoisseurs - Humidor - Tobacco Shops Near Me - Vancouver, British Columbia

CC is a great little cigar shop. Not the biggest walk-in humidor, but the selection is formidable especially is you want top cubans. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful, so newbies need not be intimidated about exploring the complex world of hand rolled premium cigars. Check in on Yelp for a quick 10% off your purchase. read more

I visited Kotaro this past week at Cigar Connoisseurs. This is the there'd visit and I have never been disappointed. He was kind enough to spend time with me to review a variety of Cuban Cigars. We spoke about the lineage and history of many different brands including Cohiba, Montecristo and Partagas. I wanted to try a cigar recommended to me called a Trinidad Fundadores or Founder cigar. Kotaro recommended it to me due to it's elegance and slow even burn with rich expresso and leather to start and evolves to a more nutty and earthy quality with sweet spice. I'm excited to enjoying this cigar soon. Kotaro is the perfect host to take you on a journey trough time that ends with a brilliant cigar he has suggested. read more

Cigar Connoisseurs - A Cuban Trinidad Fundadores. - Tobacco Shops Near Me - Vancouver, British Columbia

Cigar Connoisseurs is a nice little shop located conveniently right in Gastown. Their walk in humidor is fairly well stocked with a good selection of the popular marcas. Cigars are certainly pricy in BC! A Trinidad Fundadores runs about $45 and a Hoyo Epicure No. 2 almost $30. For these prices I looked for a couple Habanos that were either rare or aged. For $40 each I picked up a Montecristo Robusto and Partagas Serie D No. 3 which were both 2006 Edicion Limitadas. Neither were very popular when they were released but it has been years since I have seen either on a store shelf. Both smoked very well and the 8 years of aging has been kind to them. My wife and I ended up smoking outside the shop with a great group of locals. No matter what city, state or country I have never met an avid cigar smoker that I did not like. Overall Cigar Connoisseurs is well worth a visit but just be prepared for the high prices. read more

We walked all over Vancouver and visited several Cigar Shops. Out of all of them I was most impressed with CIgar Connoisseurs based on the fact they are one of a few AUTHORIZED HABANOS (Cuban CIgar) shops in the Vancouver area. I liked their display and quality. Prices are in line for the "real thing". This is it! read more

I don't usually give 5 *'s but I found everything I need here at Cigar Connoisseurs. Even met a great crew from Havana travels there. Perfect place to fire up a fatty and talk stories. Making this a regular stop. read more

I was visiting Vancouver this April/May to run the Vancouver Marathon, and although it may seem contradictory, I do enjoy a good cigar on very rare occasion. Being an American, I wanted to pick up a couple of Cohiba Cuban cigars, as we still can't legally purchase them in the states unless they are pre-embargo. I came in basically knowing what I wanted, but admittedly not being as much an expert as some, I still asked a few questions. The gentleman in the shop was very knowledgeable, gave me the facts on the various Cohiba cigars I was looking for, as well as a few other Cuban brands without being at all pushy. I came back to the shop later in the day and bought a few Cohiba Siglo VI's. I was given a sturdy cardboard travel box with the store's logo to hold my cigars, and they were then put in a sealed plastic bag within the box with a temporary humidity pack that would last a week or so. The cigars were a little on the high side price-wise, but most Cuban cigars are, and for a nicely furnished shop with people who know what they're talking about, it was worth it to me. The shop is small, but very nice. This is in the Gastown district, which is admittedly pretty touristy, but the shop felt like more of a local place. High marks all around and I'd definitely recommend. read more

Nothin wrong with this place at all. Quaint, staffed by friendly knowledgeable reasonably sophisticated urbanites. Decent selection. They know what they're doing, too - the cigars are stored in a proper walk-in humidor. I've purchased Monty A's from here before and they were excellent, which is the mark of proper storage, since you know those have been on the shelf for a long time. Today I walked out with a couple Davidoff Special R's - sublime, as they should be. This is one of the top tobacco shops in the city, no doubt. Not the same selection as City Cigar, but you don't have to drive to get here. Best in Gastown, that's for sure. read more

I'm definitely a novice with cigars but the owner and his son were really helpful with their advice about the different types and price ranges available. They had some really fancy ones that were definitely out out of my range but ended up walking out a lot more educated. read more

Great experience with Kevin. Montecristo #2 - real value due to box discount + strong US$ He set me up to enjoy my cruise with a few prime Cubans while preserving the rest for a safe trip home Great service & selection read more

Great selection and very helpful staff. Anytime I come back to town, I'm heading here.

I always used to see two older gentleman sit in this cigar place by the window and smoke cigars. They met everyday at the same time and would spend hours there. It was very intriguing, so I decided to go in and buy a cigar for my dad. I spent $40 on a Cuban very good brand of cigar and got a box and a humador with it, as they sell them there. They have Habanos, Cohibas, Paragos, and other brands. Really cool family run place and perfect for that gift idea. read more

The wife and I stopped in during our long weekend in Vancouver and we received EXCEPTIONAL customer service while working through a credit card issue. The credit card company put a freeze on our card because they were under the impression it was stolen... despite addressing the issue twice before visiting CC. We were traveling internationally so we didn't want to use another card (because of the fee) or our cell phones (because we were roaming) and the young lady working there let us use their businesses phone to sort it out. When I use, I mean USE their phone. As in, it took 45 minutes and at least a half dozen swipes of our card to get everything worked out. I repeatedly offered to stop using their phone and just eat the international transaction fee, but she said it wasn't a problem and even agreed it was a matter of principle. I may have very well cost them some business by hogging the phone line. but I will do everything I can to pay them back every time I visit Vancouver. Oh and the cigar selection and prices were pretty nice too. :-D read more

This is the best cigar store in Vancouver because of their staff. They are kind and helpful, always go above and beyond what is expected. The store itself is charming, more than a cigar store it feels like a tiny gentleman's club. They keep a nice selection of cigars and accessories which is also a plus. All in all, I wouldn't go any other place if you are looking for high quality products. read more

Went in to buy a Cuban. Not only was I politely shown the various choices and educated by a knowledgeable staff member, but I was not upsold. In fact, I was led to a less expensive but equally impressive Cuban choice. Kudos! read more

First off my rating has nothing to do with selection or customer service, with both being above average. The cigars were a bit overpriced but I guess the large selection is the price one pays. The staff was more than willing to help and even helped hail me a cab. I would purchase again if the extra cash allowed for it. read more

I walked in for the first time on a calm day around Christmas. I was looking for an entry level humidor and the owner (I believe) took the time to guide me through all the options and answer all my questions. Couldn't have asked for a more pleasant experience. No pressure, just advice. And in the end he even threw in something to help me with it. Great service, great looking store. Really nothing I can say other than if you're looking for a cigar, or help with anything related, they've got it all, so go see them. read more

I know nothing about cigars and I wanted to purchase some Cubans for a gift. The salesperson was very helpful and patient explaining the different types and sizes of cigars and in advising me on a good selection to choose. They also took care of shipping for me. I'll definitely go back next time I want cigars. read more

Walked in and was ignored. Must have been embarrassed by a humidor that consisted of mostly empty boxes and through the roof prices.

This is the best place in Vancouver to get some awesome cuban cigars ( in my opinion. I smoke cuban cigars and not into NC...). If you are after NC, this may not be your place. But if you smoke cuban cigars and you are after some good cigars, well aged and is in best smoking condition.. straight from a walk-in humidor...this is the place to go to in Vancouver. I have in past gone to most other stores down there ( including the ones in New West and Port Moody) but nothing in my opinion comes anywhere close to the quality of cuban cigars at the Connoisseurs. The area is nice, the cigars are great, the owner and the staff are so helpful, know their stuff, are engaging and make you feel so welcome over and over... I do travel to Vancouver every two weeks from the coast ( Powell River) and a stop at Connoisseurs has now become a must read more
