His reasoning was that it was his property, and he went as far as questioning my condition and saying he did not believe I actually needed handicap parking. A disability does not have to be visible for it to be real. A business owner should not take it upon himself to decide whether someone's medical condition is legitimate or whether they deserve to use accessible parking. Being confronted, questioned, and told to leave a handicap parking space was humiliating and completely unacceptable. People with disabilities deserve dignity and respect--not judgment because they don't "look disabled enough" to someone else. This experience showed me a complete lack of compassion and respect for people who need accessible accommodations. Based on how I was treated, I cannot recommend this business.
