The. Only. Guy. To. Use. .... Period Do not mess around with fly-by-night shady window tint jobs... you end up paying 2 or 3 times more in the long run. Pay for quality work once and be happy with the tint for life. I have used Mark for almost 20 years now and will not let anyone else tint our vehicles. Anyone who sees my reviews knows I do not review for just good work, or decent work. I review when work is either truly exceptional or horribly bad. Mark is top notch and so far above the others tint companies I tried years ago, he definitely deserves the 5 stars. He might be scheduled out sometimes.... but there is a reason for that... so just wait for your place in line. read more

If you take pride in your car and want a perfect tint Mark is your man! I had no idea how this whole tinting business worked but I was shocked when he comes to you. You simply give him a time and place and he'll be there on time and ready to work. I had just bought my car so I enjoyed watching how the process worked! Skip the tinting places all battling for the lowest prices and bubbly tint..give Mark a call! He's an expert at what he does and really has a passion for cars which reflects in his flawless tinting job :) read more

Mark tinted my vehicle years ago and he did a killer job! He's very passionate about his workmanship and the quality is Top Notch! I would highly recommend him! He's the best! read more

Super happy with the work that Mark did. I was referred to him by BMW Car Club of America, and I definitely recommend him to anyone else who is looking for tint. He is very customer-oriented, and established great communication from the start. We scheduled a day when we were both free, and confirmed by text the day of the appointment. The tint job itself is excellent. I could definitely feel a difference of the heat transfer from the sun immediately as I drove off. I should have definitely got this done earlier! I could not find any imperfections two days after the job was done. read more

I have used Acme tinting for my last two cars and have been very satisfied with their quality work until now. The tint on the back and front side windows is starting to detach. I have called Mark several times since November of last year with no call back. What gives? read more

Ok this review is from when Yelp wasn't even in business... how cool is that? I had a friend ask me who did my window tinting & I still had Mark's wait for it... PAGER in my phone.... haha. He has tinted three of my cars & I just happen to not have gotten a new car in over 10 years. So anyway decided to look on Yelp to see if I could find him on Yelp and sure enough here he is with 5 stars which I am confirming! He's awesome. read more

I was a bit skeptical at first. Looking at two 5 out of 5 stars on Yelp doesn't scream out. I was sold after checking out his website of the cars he tinted . I called and scheduled an appointment with Mark to tint my 05 Subaru Forester XT. Mark was very friendly and very professional. Mark arrived on time and started right away. He answered all my tinting questions and definitely enjoys tinting. After talking with him I knew that he was legit. He tinted 7 windows and my sunroof using the latest Solargard film. The job was done in 3 1/2 hrs. His tint work is simply flawless. That's probably why the Bentley dealership has him contracted as their tint guy. If anything goes wrong with the tint you're covered. No tint job is too difficult for Mark at Acme Tinting. If you need your car tinted look no further than Acme Tinting. Just a heads up, Mark's schedule gets book fast. read more

I'm the owner of the Z car posted on Mark's website, http://www.acmewindowtinting.com/window_tint_vehicles/nissan-z/. Mark was referred to me by a Toy King Mobile Detailing, http://www.toykingdetailing.com/ (also on Yelp). Mark loves what he does! He worked at my home and answered all my questions. I went with his recommendations. He took off really old tint from when I bought this Z-car in 1994 and put on new tint you see in the picture, sides and back windows. It's SWEET! Efficient and clean and fun to chat with, too! If you considering getting tint for your car/truck windows, Mark is your "go to man"! read more

This is the 2nd vehicle I've had Mark do and both times he's done great work. I was able to schedule him within a few days of calling and he came right to my office to complete the match of my front 2 windows to my back 2 windows of my 2014 f-150. He's very professional and get's the job done perfectly. As long as he's servicing San Diego he'll be my go to guy to have my windows done. Thanks again Mark for the great work on my truck. read more

Simple and short! I hate when ppl ONLY use Yelp* to complain, but as a consumer it's my responsibility to post so other customers find out about ACME's previous customers. I've been getting my cars tinted for 27 years and Mark's work is TOP NOTCH! I'm very impressed with the quality of his work! Mark was professional "&" clean! Mark showed up BEFORE the scheduled appointment time. Mark was POLITE! Mark's work is SLAMMING!!!! GREAT JOB BROTHER! :-) read more

3 years later and the tinting on our 2016 car is still in great shape. The tinting has really helped protect the leather upholstery and reduce interior heat from the sun. Just a few weeks ago, we purchased a new 2018 car and one of the first things I did was to book an appointment with Mark to get the car tinted. Once again, a great job! Very meticulous in his work, always on time. I can't say enough good things about Mark's tinting abilities. This is where you want to get your window tinting installed. read more

I was driving a beater for the last 4 years and I finally had to break down and buy myself a new car. I was talking to a guy the day before I got my car and he told me that if I get the windows tinted I "have to" use his guy because he's the best in town. So I quickly to him that "I" actually know the best guy in town and that me and many of my buddies have used this guy for years now. Well, it just so happened that we were both speaking about the same guy and that guy is Mark of Acme Tinting! If you're looking for a truly professional individual, that does a professional job, only uses the highest quality materials, and guarantees (with a lifetime warranty) that you won't be driving around a few years later with silly bubbles in your tint, you have to choose Acme Tinting. Put it this way, if Lamborghini and Rolls Royce dealers trust him with their cars, you can too. Mark really is the best!! www.acmewindowtinting.com - 619-892-2263 read more

Mark did my BMW last week and its flawless! Even the microdot edges on the side glass which no tinter gets perfect Mark was able to do without issue and it looks like a clean factory install which is all I ever wanted and could never get. Looking at other tint jobs now after having Acme work on my car I can clearly see the difference between what a good tint is and what a PERFECT tint looks like. I am happy I went with Mark. I will use him on future vehicles of mine and recommend him to other people and my own customers. Thanks you for everything! read more

Mark just pulled out of my work parking lot, leaving behind my 2012 Prius that now looks like it transports some serious VIPs! Amazing work, done on time, for the quoted price ($250 for 7 windows, regardless of tint color). Quickly gave me the low-down on options, used the best products on the market, and did work that seriously looks factory-installed. I was referred to this company (formerly Top Dog Tint) by a friend who noted a handful of other friends who've used Mark's services over the years. This guy's the real deal! Stop looking elsewhere. read more

Do not let the small amount of reviews misguide you from this establishment. Mark does exceptional work. I went to Mark after I had made an appointment with SD tint and I was stood up with no follow up call. I am glad I got stood up. Mark is very knowledgable and best of all, punctual. his work speaks for itself. I had him do 7 windows on my Mazda. and called him again to do another set on my silverado. both done perfect and the time frame of time it would take to do them was to the perfect. Mark will be my go to guy from here on out. Thanks Mark! read more

Impressed by all the stellar reviews here, I decided to give Mark a call and he gave a very reasonable quote over the phone to tint our two cars. So right then I decided to schedule for him to come to our home a few days later and do both cars in one shot. He took great care of them, with great attention to detail and even took care of little things like rotating the cars in and out of our garage himself so that he could continue work in a shady spot, as well as putting "idiot" tape on our window switches so we would remember not to roll them down for 48 hours. He did not disappoint in the least, and exemplifies what a killer mobile auto service should strive to be! read more

Got Mark's card from the BMW dealer. Figured since BMW felt good enough to recommend him, his work was going to be spot on. Met with Mark today, just finished up my black X5, and the work is flawless. Mark was knowledgeable, professional, personable and did exactly what he promised in the time he proposed (actually ended early). Because I live in a downtown high-rise condo, where the HOA rules with an iron fist, the work couldn't be done in my garage. Mark was flexible and performed the work in a nearby ace parking lot. I will gladly recommend Mark to friends, and anyone looking for a great tinter. read more

Excellent job. Mark was busy and couldn't get me in for a few days but because of his ratings, competitive pricing and confidence when I spoke to him on the phone I decided to wait for him. I would definitely be confident referring him to friends and he will be our new tint guy. Thanks Mark! read more

Could not be happier regarding my experience with ACME. They went out of their way to set up a convenient time and place for my appointment. Our new car sales person recommended Mark, but before I used him I checked a lot of other places on Yelp. No comparison! Mark is a true professional. He has been doing this for 25 years, the last 20 of which as his sole proprietor company. Unlike other places that do tinting, Mark does NOT install car stereos or car alarms. He is specialized. He arrived exactly on time at 9 in the morning to tint seven windows in each of our three cars. He finished at 4:30 in the afternoon. He is a quiet likable person, extremely professional, answers all questions completely, no matter how many times he has heard them before. His work is top notch. There was no grit, debris or bubbles left under the tint film. Our cars look as if they had factory tints. His materials are first class. He cleans up after himself. You can figure Mark does five star work when you know he is the exclusive auto window tint person for Symbolic Motors of La Jolla, authorized dealership for Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Lamborghini, and Bugatti. He has also performed his work for many of San Diego's professional athletes. Don't waste your time, money, or your car's looks on a Groupon auto window tint company. Companies, like Acme, doing the best work for the same prices stereo shop window tinters charge, don't need to mess around with discounts. You get what you paid for. Once a bad tint in applied to your car's windows, it will cost you a bundle to have it removed, even before you pay for a high quality tint application later. Check out his highly informative web site http://www.acmewindowtinting.com/ You will thank me for this recommendation. Don't waste your time going anywhere else. Mark comes to you. It's a no-brainer! read more

I called 3 times over the period of a week, and could not so much as get anyone to return my call!

Do yourself a favor and make one call to Mark at ACME tinting. Mark came out to our house, arrived the exact time we had agreed on, tinted two of our cars, and all this in a professional and efficient manner. I've had cars tinted in the past by other, and they all made me feel like they had one week of experience. Mark knows his stuff and you can tell by how he goes about the installation.
