Tried shopping locally. That failed miserably. $1700 later, my vehicle still runs poorly, there are things hanging underneath it that were never fixed or properly stowed, the muffler and exhaust work. They did rattles like crazy, and the engine runs no better than it did before. They left my doors or windows open while they kept it and my vehicle got drenched inside. I had to run a dehumidifier. They would not give me the owners information and told me he is out of the country. I really enjoyed having my doors greased up with their dirty hands and now I'm missing my ODBII code reader that was plugged in. Their suggestion to all of this? " take it to Jones automotive in Conway." Poor quality and workmanship. Zach at the front desk was very nice, but he offered no solutions. When I asked him why cables were still hanging under my vehicle, the response was "well it came in that way". Nothing like blaming your customers for work that you did not complete on the specific parts that were affected. My next stop is small claims court. After going back-and-forth three times to deal with them, rearranging schedules, missing work and having to get rides to and from the shop from friends, I've had my fill and I will, indeed take it somewhere else. read more

i was so disappointed in Tim's Garage about 4 month ago we were going on vacation so i desided to get new tires for the trip, tires are not cheap nowadays i had Kumho tires i told them thats what i wanted and i let him talk me into getting rainfall tires told me they had all the same warranty as the Kumho and were comparable, long story had a blowout drivers side rear waited for tow truck for an hour got to Tims Garage at that time they told that the the tire wasn't covered for road hazard, i reminded him what he told me when i bought the tires seemed to not be concerned and i would have to pay for a replacement tire never again fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me. Been using Tim's garage for our vehicles since moving to Greenbrier. Have never had an issue from Zach up front or any of the crew. They've always explained why something was needed and have come to trust their advice. Highly recommend their shop! read more

I purchased a used car from a dealership and brought it to Tims for a inspection, since my parents use them (used to anyway) and was told they recommended 3K worth of work. Setup an appointment and took out a loan to pay them. They kept my car 2 extra days and when I got it back I was charged for things not mentioned to me previously or on my estimate and it was making a clucking noise in the front. I took it back instantly and they said it was a defective part and they missed something and would take care of it all at no cost to me. Advised me to get my car over the weekend and parts would be in the next week; it was actually 3 weeks before they came in and not one phone call from these people, I had to call once a week for updates... finally they let me bring it up for repairs. I pick it up a second time and guess what; they charge me more money for something they said they would not charge me for. What is worse is it's still clunking in the front STILL!!!!! I thought I had bad experiences with garages before but no Tim's Garage in Greenbrier now takes the #1spot. I took my car to Smith Ford and was advised the noise was never due to a strut but was in fact something totally different. Sharing my experience in case it will help other people on a tight budget and tight on time. I'll never return here again after being charged twice when i shouldn't have and because my car was returned twice to me in the same state making the same noise after I paid thousands of dollars. I had to take it somewhere else to get it fixed and spend more money fixing their mistakes. The lack of communication and care for customers property and time is just not good customer service; and returning the car twice to me making the same noise is just unacceptable. Went here with a warranty and it took two weeks for them to get it approved. Once approved, I received a call from Zack saying they told the warranty company the amount of work needed was 5.3 hours, it was a bad transmission cooler and they want to change my cooler lines some 1500+ dollars worth of labor and parts. My warranty company would only cover a little over three hours. Tims Garage asked me to foot the remainder of the costs and my deductible along with fluid and taxes. I called two transmission shops who said the work is just over 3 hrs which aligns with my warranty company so I chose to go with Straightline transmissions in Greenbrier. The truck was in there and they charged a total $645.00 which includes my deductible. The oil cooler lines did not need replacing and they got it done same day while I waited on them. Took them two hours to get the new claim approved. I was not charged the taxes or fluid. I had no extra charges just my deductible and a small fee for using a credit card. It appears and I have the documentation to prove it, it appears this shop called Tims Garage is a rip off and should not be an option for the people of this area. Only nice thing I can say is the people were nice but it's easy for a con to be nice cuz they are conning you. They lost this job and hopefully this can help someone else from getting screwed over by this shop. I hope you see this Tims Garage, you need better business ethics screwing your customers is not a good business model. read more

I've made several trips to Tim's for various reasons like AC and glowing engine lights, but this recent gamble paid off! I have had a problem where my car won't start when I put gas in her -- who's ever heard of this problem? They checked the error codes on my Chevy traverse and changed my purge valve and boom! Like a new car. Their service is great, it's personal, and they do quality work. I live in Conway but I'll make the drive every time over anyone else. read more
