I went to Tim's Diner for the first time today despite living in Leominster for 10 years. You know how some small places ignore you if you're not a regular? There was none of that at Tim's, my husband and I were greeted by everyone behind the counter (all women! We love to see it!) and were treated like old friends. We went here after a firefighter's memorial downtown Leominster. They were so busy, however, they were very attentive to all our needs. Always getting a fresh top off, of the best coffee!! My veggie omlet was packed with veggies and swiss cheese, so good!!! Great home fries and toast! I was so full had to take half home!! Which i finished for supper. I love the atmosphere of all the Black and White photos of Leominster's history! They had a great back room that was bigger than the restaurant it looks!! Parking was easy right across the street! With all the diners near by I would say this place has a lot of character just driving by. They also treat their customers well but their food isn't that great in my experience. Unfortunately this was what my fiance got me for breakfast in bed on my birthday. I tried with all my life to try to enjoy the breakfast food he got from this place. We stopped at Tim's Diner for breakfast this morning as we were passing through the area. When she saw the building, my wife exclaimed "It's a real diner!" As you can see by the photos (below), it is. More importantly, though, it was a great place to eat breakfast. The service was personal, friendly, and efficient, and food was really good. I ordered a single pancake that was light, delicious and as big as my plate. Along with with an order of hash, it made for a great breakfast/brunch. My wife had eggs over easy, with hash, potatoes and toast, all of which she thoroughly enjoyed. The lunch selections looked interesting and appetizing, and we hope to have an opportunity to check them out. We learned that the diner is 65 year's old, founded by Tim Sr, father of the current owner, Tim Jr. In addition to the original diner area, there is a dining room in the rear. Here's hoping Tim's remains for many more years...we pass through the area a lot and are always on the lookout for a great place to stop. read more

I am showing my townie loyalty on this post. Tim's is a staple train car diner located down town Leominster. It's in its second generation of awesomeness. If you are looking for a homemade meal this is the place. I recommend the counter were you can see Tim in his element . His short order cooking skills are second to none. The food is cooked to order how ever you like. Pancakes bigger than the plate. Tim's fish chowder is their own and it is tasty. Fridays baked haddock sells out in minutes.if your in a hurry no problem how fast can you eat because your food is in front of you almost as fast as you order it. Best diner in town. read more

I grew up coming to this tiny place my entire life and it has to be one of the cutest places near downtown Leominster. This makes you feel like your taking part in some history while eating some good breakfast. The pancakes are huge and this place runs on regulars but everything I go here it's a new memory! Poor service. Stood there for 4 minutes had to grab the waitress and ask for service. She actually said "what"then 3 people walked in, before they even sat down she was getting their coffee. Then she disappears. The cook had to give me my order and cash me out and of course he was busy so he had to rush. So if your not a regular I don't recommend this diner. read more

I grew up in Leominster and I don't know how many times I've driven by Tim's. Moved to the area with my family in 1980. Here it is 2017 before I made my first trip through the door that I still try and push rather than pull as it suggests. Once a week I try and make Tim's a part of my morning. Gail, Frank and Tim start my day right. Every time I am passed a plate that struggles to contain the food on it my mouth alerts me to the treat in store for me. All my senses are awakened as I prepare to clean a plate of my usual veggie omelette, home fries and homemade toast. If I had my way I'd start every morning at Tim's but I'm content giving my tastebuds something to look forward to on my days off. read more

I stopped in last Sunday morning for breakfast. It's a very small place with just 4 booths and seating for 10 or so at the counter. The breakfast menu is very limited.Owner/cook Tim and staff are very friendly and we had a nice conversation about diners etc.It turns out we have some mutual friends . Service was quick ,my meal was good and reasonably priced.I only give it 3stars 'cause of the limited selection.Don't call the phone number listed ...It isn't theirs. read more

Tim's Diner is a wonderful little gem. The food is all cooked to order. The food is actually amazing, breakfast served all day and lunches are cooked in the diner. People are surprised by the size, once you walk in you realize the diner can seat 50. This is a place everybody should try, just a warning if you go in once you will keep going back. This place is great. It is clearly a locals place and has all the grit and charm of a no-nonsense diner. I had the throw-it-on-the-floor, which is an egg scramble with potatoes and meat.
