These are the best, cheapest burgers around.

This is, without a doubt, the best and by far the cheapest bar food in the county. You can't go wrong here. Just great, honest food at incredible prices

100% dive bar. Love it. Filled with locals. Servers know people by name. Offered a spot for a (I'm pretty sure) homeless to sit at bar and have a glass of water. I saw the reviews for this place. So many negative comments about the service, but come on people, it's a local dive bar AND actually the service was excellent. I don't like overly attentive servers in places like this. You gotta soak up the whole scene and ambiance. If you're looking for Michelin star service, go to a Michelin star restaurant! Both bartenders/servers were great. I did not have to wait for drink refills or my order to be taken. Music is fine- radio mix. A lot of pool players. Everyone was respectful and friendly. I had three ambers on draft and an order of wings n Jo's . Delicious!!! Wings were like the best fried chicken I've had in a long time- not spicy. The Jo's are fantastic potatoes perfectly cooked. The bill was less than $18. Oh and THE BEST part...they only take cash!!! Listen, I did not know this so when I sat ate bar and started drinking my first Amber, I started noticing all the patrons were paying in cash and I looked for a cc machine- none. They do have an ATM but I didn't have an ATM card so I said id have to go back to my place and grab cash. I asked if I needed to leave my drivers license or anything as a guarantee, but the bartender said she knew I'd come back. Obviously, I did and then had two more ambers and my food. ‍ I love the local hospitality. I feel like they have been unfairly judged just for timely service. You don't come to a place like this in a rush.

Awful service. Rude bartenders that kick everyone out with no warning a half hour or more before close.

The worse service I have ever had. Took 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Such a cool bar, but the service ruins it.

Silver Star Sports Bar & Grill - Crispy Panko Shrimp meal

Whereas I was going to order the Crispy Panko Shrimp & a basket of fries, our server inquired if I would rather have the entree, which included fries & coleslaw as well as 8 shrimp vs 6- of which I opted for & was not disappointed! The shrimp were indeed crispy & very good, as was the entire meal & well worth the extra $1.99! Service was good as well. I didn't get her name, but she said she had been there quite a while. This is a nice venue of good size with pool tables & even small TV screens mounted just above the tables in the booths!! Lots of large screens mounted about as well for sports fans. On weekends, they have karaoke one night & sometimes a DJ on Saturday night with dancing. Definitely a good place to visit!

Generally speaking, the food is good and we order a whole lot for our table(s) of 6 including drinks and desserts. The kids meals are a solid value - big portions of chicken strips and fries, and another with a grilled cheese and lots of tater tots. The bougie chicken bacon alfredo mac came on a big ole plate and kid #1 who ordered it, says it is very good. Myself and a friend split a Forester burger -- it comes a side, we chose onion rings, and while the burger is great (caramelized onion and gorgonzola are a fire combination), the onion rings were way overcooked to the point there was almost no onion left in the batter lol (saaaad). Kids # 2 and 3 order happy hour mozzarella sticks, soft pretzels, and panko shrimp. Everything is good according to the children and their limited taste buds. Adults order cocktails which are light on alcohol (sad face) but heavy on delicious flavors! Desserts for 3 kids, everyone says everything is great. Beyond the hollow onion rings, our service was a bit sub-par this time around. Kid #2 spilled his entire drink and while we got some help from the server in the form of bringing more napkins to the table, server girl did nothing about the lake of dr pepper on the floor below it. It was disappointing, not gonna lie. Kids are annoying, I get it, but we had to sit with our shoes in this mess. It dried enough in some spots that our shoes were literally sticking to the ground. Server girl also forgot to put the order in for the panko shrimp sooo kid #2 thought he was being punished because he got his shrimp after everyone else practically finished their meals lol. Our tab was close to 200 bucks. I cringe super hard at the thought of paying half that bill, and tipping fairly, if only because my shoe almost came off my foot when I finally stood up to leave. Dr Pepper almost got me.

We…read morespent the better part of a Friday afternoon down at the Cowlitz River - sitting on the beach and walking through the water. We had planned to hit a local pizza joint before coming home as we traditionally have pizza on Friday nights. Planning ahead, I found The Oasis and looking at reviews and pics, decided to try it. Boy ... are certainly glad we did! Looking at it from the outside, it looks more like a regular bar than a family-friendly bar/grill/restaurant. However, there is a sign that says children are welcome. We've got two boys under the age of six and our waitress was wonderful with them. She was friendly to us all, made sure we all had what we needed throughout the night, and was understanding of the "immediate" needs of the kids. Ha! The food was amazing! The pizza was straight out a real Midwestern style of pizza --- with the toppings underneath the cheese! Living most of our lives in IL and MN, we know what's what. The crust was crimped and just perfect - crispy on the outer edges and chewy on the inside. It was also crisp enough on the bottom that the pieces didn't sag or fall apart with picking it up. We ordered two pizzas, one sausage and one just cheese. They both were great. The sausage tasted amazingly fresh and I wondered if they got it from a local butcher, it was so tender and flavorful. With the cheese being spread out all over the top of the pizza (remember, on top of the toppings), it was deliciously golden brown and not overly greasy. We also ordered a side of Mini Corn Dogs for the boys and they both liked them. Which, for those of you with kids, if both give it a thumbs up then you're in business. =) As for tasty beverages, they've got a selection of about 20 or so beers to choose from. We had the Scottish Red Ale and the African Amber. Oh my! They were soooo good. If I didn't have to drive 30 minutes home, I would've definitely gotten a third! We saw on their menu that they offer "take and bake" pizzas as well. After getting just a few slices through our meal, we flagged the waitress down and ordered two pizzas to go. We threw them in the freezer when we got home and have had both since then. They last just fine in the two weeks since we got them (baked at 425 degrees from frozen for about 20-ish minutes). All in all, we had a perfect time at The Oasis Bar. They are, hands-down, the BEST pizza we've had while living in Lewis and Thurston Counties! It's about a 35 minutes drive from home ... but well worth it. We will absolutely be back!
