Dr. Delaney is my hero. He took my crumbling, decaying, mess of a mouth, and devised a creative multi-layered plan to restore it to strength, health, and beauty. He gave me back my smile, which means the world to me. More than that, he gave me back my self-respect. I'll always be grateful.
I had neglected my teeth for decades, partly because of finances, but more because of fear that was instilled in me through traumatic childhood dental experiences. I knew it was time to bite the bullet and see what the damage actually was, and what could be done about it. Scouring the Internet, I found Dr. Delaney's website. Seeing that he offered sedation dentistry, and also that he has his dental lab on-site were certainly factors in making the choice to consult him. But mostly it was his brief video in which he calmly displays his knowledge, experience, and his professional confidence. I just had a good feeling about him.
Dr. Delaney assembled a Dream Team of other professionals to work on my case, including the finest Endodontist one could hope for, and a master Anesthesiologist. Their work was simply excellent, and I can see how these top-notch birds of a feather all flock together.
My treatment included root canals, over a dozen crown preparations and restorations, many bonding/filling restorations of decayed and broken teeth, cleaning and whitening, and probably other things I have forgotten. Perhaps the most remarkable treatment was his use of a specially-made retainer to straighten my badly crooked front bottom teeth. I figured that could only be effected through the use of braces over years by an orthodontist. But Dr. Delaney adjusts the retainer over time and, incredibly, those teeth have moved quite a bit and are almost aligned after just a few months.
Another thing I really like is that, despite several crowns and restorations, Dr. Delaney planned and worked to help me keep my own unique look. So my teeth don't look like cookie-cutter TV teeth fresh from the factory. I still look like myself... just a way better self.
The gentleman is just a master craftsman, artist, and technician. A wizard really. Personally, he has a warm and kind and communicative chair-side manner, and is always very conscious of my comfort and well-being. Very gentle and caring, yet gets the job done in a way I never thought possible for me. He saved every tooth! I thought I was going to lose several and go the way of my parents and have to wear dentures. Thank God I found this man.
I'm trying to think back and remember when I've had any pain with Dr. Delaney, and I just can't recall any. Looking back at my childhood dental experiences, I would have never thought this possible. It's nice to know that miracles can still happen in this world.
The office staff have also been very kind, warm, and caring, and I always have a pleasant experience at my appointments. I have to single out the Office Manager Jamie for special praise. She has worked on my case for months, helping to arrange finances, juggling treatments and appointments, discussing various aspects of the work with me, and has been solid, calm, and just there for me. She is a treasure. The Dental Assistants Karla and Jacqueline are knowledgeable and efficient, yet have always been gentle and sweet with me. I've always felt well cared-for by them. Kozo the Lab Technician built beautiful crowns for me that matched my own teeth perfectly. And Linda, the Dental Hygienist, with whom I now have a continuing relationship for periodic cleanings, is quite competent, yet gentle and kind at the same time. Dr. Delaney has simply assembled the finest staff imaginable.
To the reader out there, surfing the 'Net looking for fine dental care, I would say, stop, quit fooling around, save yourself some time and trouble, and just give Jamie a call.
To Dr. Delaney and his Staff and colleagues, I would say a sincere thank you, and please know that you'll always have a special place in my heart.
