Taking my kids to the dentist has always been such a stressful task for me. When my daughter's appointment didn't go well with my dentist, he referred me to Dr. Le. We've been here twice and this second time, my daughter was able to go in the exam room for her cleaning, take X-rays, and sit through the exam on her own!! I was so impressed (and relieved) how gentle and and great Dr. Le and her staff are with little ones. They make it fun, totally kid-friendly and comforting for little ones. They also had my two-year old watch his big sissy to help put him at ease for his first exam. He also made it through without any tears and we were in and out in an hour. She lets the kids take a toy from the toy chest, gives them balloons and stickers too. Awesome staff, very friendly and would highly recommend Dr. Le. My daughter actually said she loved going to the dentist!! read more

This review is a long time coming. If I could give negative 5 stars I would. Dr Lee was unprofessional and unethical when treating my son as her patient. She yelled at him when he was nervous about taking medicine that she told us would help his nerves. Later on when I got the medical file and took it to another dentist, I found out she lied and really just gave him a pain medication. Once we got into the room she told me I had to leave. I refused. Under NO circumstances will a strange adult be in a room with my child in a situation like this. Good thing I didn't, because in front of me she continued to yell at him and berate him for wiggling in the chair after two hours of work. PLEASE try to argue that a grown adult would do any different while sitting in a dentist chair for two hours. Afterwards he was so traumatized he was terrified of going back to ANY dentist for two years. Oh, and she overcharged a ridiculous amount for a cavity filling and almost didn't refund us for work she never completed. read more

Saw Dr. Nina Le : Very poor follow up from her office & carless attitude about patient care. After seeing her I had blood work done in the lab attached to her office. 3-4 weeks later her office called to say I needed to come in for the follow up blood work. Based on the blood work I was to get on a prescription medication. The prescription was not issued. When I finally did reach her office after leaving three messages over a two month time frame.. they said I have a follow up appointment scheduled for August. I suggested that without the blood work and no prescription the follow up appointment did'nt make sense. The young woman I spoke to was more interested in her version of the events than solving my simple health issue. I will check with my insurance to see what they were charged for and look for another clinic and another doctor. read more

Dr Le is a wonderful dentist. Her office and staff are so inviting and she has an excellent bedside manner, so much so that my child asked to return the following day to see her again after her first visit. I feel very comfortable and confident in her clinical skills as my child's dentist. Some things about her office: Dr. Le and her staff work hard to make a comfortable environment for my child. The office is cozy. There are age appropriate books and videos, and there is a tv on the ceiling to keep my child occupied during the treatment. One thing I do appreciate is that if I have a question about a treatment it's easy to discuss with her. For instance, does my child need this xray right now or can it wait a few months, when does this cavity need to be fixed, or does my child need sedation before a procedure? These and other questions are easily discussed to come up with a treatment plan we both agree on. We will be seeing Dr. Le for many years to come. Thank you again Dr. Le. read more

I was referred to Dr. Nina Le by Dr. Berman's office (my new Pediatrician) and they were wonderful on the phone. They explained the whole process with my new insurance and made an appointment immediately for the same week on a Saturday. I'll make another report after visiting but had a great feeling about it. They take Delta Dental PPO. And its very close to home in a great part of town. read more

We found Dr. Le when I needed an emergency appointment for my 9-year-old, who fell and chipped his two front (permanent) teeth. Dr. Le took good care of us, so I made regular cleaning appointments for all four of my kids (ages 2.5-9) to see her. She's really great with the little ones. Very patient, knows how to talk to them, and even got my 2.5yo to cooperate with a cleaning! She filled a few cavities on my almost-5-year-old today using sedation and I was impressed with how she was able to keep him calm and get the work done in a very reasonable amount of time. The front office staff are very professional and organized as well. Very pleased to have found Dr. Le's office! read more

My daughter started complaining about tooth pain and I called Dr Nina Le for an appointment and she was able to see her very fast. The whole staff was very professional and on time, we were called after less than 5 minutes...amazing. Laura did her cleaning and the whole time she told my daughter to let her borrow her finger to touch and feel the cleaning machines, it made her feel safe during the cleaning and X-ray. Dr Nina was very good and explained everything to us, thankfully she didn't see any signs of cavity. On the ride back home my daughter told me "mom...did you see that Dr. Nina was wearing a Curious George clothe?". Sorry, I didn't pay attention, but she did and on the paperwork I answered that George was her favorite TV show... Coincidence or not.... It caused a positive impact on her....thank you so much. She was very excited to tell her dad about her dentist visit!!!! read more

Worst dentist experience for my kids - hands down. She was busy, in a hurry, and YELLED at my son while trying to get his x-rays. Seriously yelled at him, right in front of me. She diagnosed him with 8 cavities and possible root canal, and said he was a "bad patient" and would need full anesthesia, which would cost over $1000 to bring in an outside anesthesiologist. Ridiculous. Took him to another pediatric dentist in the area, she said 2 of those cavities were so small they did not need to be treated. She did all of his treatment (with no root canal) and NO general anesthesia. Whereas my son left Dr. Le's office crying, he left the other dentists office skipping and smiling, asking when he could come back. Do yourself a favor and do NOT go here. read more

I like the dentist however the front desk girl is very rude. I've been here 3 times and each time her personality output is awful. Smiling + Bad Attitude = phony. If this keeps up I will choose another Childs Dentist. read more

I found her staff polite yet the charge for services absurd. $245 for a 3 year old to get a teeth cleaning is outrageous. I have since found someone who works better for our family. read more

I'm not sure why these previous reviewers are giving Dr. Le bad reviews-- BOTH my children love her and we drive all the way from Santa Monica to see her because SHE IS THE BEST!!!! My older son had truly horrible dental experiences which has totally traumatized him with dentists when he was much younger. We previously went to another pediatric dentist covered by my insurance who was fine, but they still had to have me hold him down along with the nurse to do the work and he was freaking out. I then went to Dr. Le and my son LOVED her. He didn't even realize that all the work she did in his mouth. There was NO screaming, crying, anything. I didn't have to go into to help with anything. My son REFUSES to go anywhere else-- so we have to drive to her-- totally well worth it, even in traffic! Since we have been with her (4 years) my son has not had to have any work done from the initial mess that was left with other dentists. This month, my daughter finally had one cavity-- after no cavities. Dr. Le was watching one cavity and did not fill it at first because it was so small, but after a year, unfortunately it got bigger. My daughter was in and out quickly, and had a GREAT first experience-- though she does not want any more cavities, she was not traumatized like my son was by his previous experiences with other dentists. This dentist has a great bedside manner and I fully endorse her-- we would come to her no matter what!!!!!!! read more

YELP deemed my review of Lina Le DDS as being UNRECOMMENDED for whatever reason & took it off!! I see this as being pandering to paid advertisers. This episode has truly altered my view on the integrity of YELP and certainly would not trust the reviews on Yelp from this point on. Meanwhile I will keep reporting this until my heart's content, or they kick me out, whichever comes first:-) The episode described below was as factual as I can be. ****************************** I've never published a review on Yelp, but I have to do this. Yesterday I took my 5-year-old for a first visit to this dentist to have twice-a-year routine cleaning. Upon arrival I was asked to sign off on an estimate that amounted to over $180. We had a PPO plan that covers this routine 100% twice a year, and this was the first use for the year. What would cost so much, right? It turned out the dentist was not a PPO provider for our insurance plan, and they wanted us to pay 20% of the cleaning charges plus X-ray costs. This is usually fine except for the fact the office contacted the Insurance over a month ago about eligibility, and they knew all along I had to pay extra for the routine procedure, but chose not to let me know so I can make an informed decision. That just made me question their ethical standards and their customer service, which appears to be NONE whatsoever. By looking at other reviews, I knew Nina Le is going to come out responding by saying I'm sorry about your experience and we will improve. No amount of apology would justify the fact that, by choosing to go silent on eligibility, you just wasted 1 1/2 hours of my child's time and mine. Good thing you did not have a single chance to treat my child, who knows what will happen to that. read more

We started going to Dr. Le this year after our insurance changed. I was very sad to leave the dentist that my kids had been going to for over 8 years. Dr. Le has made the transition very bearable for my children and myself. They have both had cleanings, X-rays, and my son had 2 fillings after getting his braces taken off. She is very pleasant and her office staff have always been kind and professional. read more

I cannot say enough thank you's to Dr. Le for taking care of my 2 girls (5 and 9 years old) and making them feel calm, confident and not scared of going to the dentist. My 9 yr old got her tooth taken out today and I was very worried about how she would be. She is usually very sensitive and very scared of pain. But she is doing just fine and actually talking proudly of what she went through. Dr. Le is awesome! I would highly recommend her. read more

We were referred to Nina Le when my son was 18 mos old after he broke his front tooth. The office is very efficient and professional. They handled our 18 month old who needed an extraction with total care. From that point which was 4 years ago, we have regularly scheduled cleanings and check ups for our twin boys. Dr. Le has handled all of our kids dental needs pro actively and honestly. We highly recommend DR. Le, the kids love her office, her staff and the prizes! read more

Best dentist ever!!! I've gone to Dr. Le since I was about 6 or older. I've grown up with her and I will never leave even though I am 20 years old. It's so hard to find such good doctors that's genuinely care about their patients and their well being. Im so glad I have found someone that I will continue to use for my future children. read more

I have been bringing my children to this dental office for quite sometime now. The practice is now in the hands of Dr. Andrea Gamble. She is awesome! I'm really happy with her calm demeanor and how sweet and gentle she is with the kids. read more

I had a similar experience as the previous person who posted and I am angry. I was told by Dr. Le that my 5 year old daughter had numerous cavities and I had them filled. One year later she reports that my daughter has more cavities but I do not have time to make an appointment then and say I will call back. A few days later, I look up her number on line and see the yelp review. I get suspicious, and since we are moving in a few months I decide to do nothing. Well I just got back from our new dentist - recommended by a few of my friends and seemed very competent, and he says my daughter does not have any cavities and her teeth look great. I had a funny feeling the first time, noting that not many kids had their pictures on the "Cavity Free" bulletin board. I feel bad my daughter had to go through the first procedure when it probably was not needed. read more

My kids had a great experience here. I found Dr.Le to be direct and in control. We had several bad interactions with other dentist for my older son previously, so for him to be okay here is such a relief. He didn't even realize he had even been given a shot! Also, the staff members are super friendly and helpful. read more

Dr. Le and her staff are fantastic. My daughter had her first dental visit her at 2 years old and absolutely LOVES to go to the dentist. Dr. Le and her staff have always been kind and very helpful and friendly. I found the office a very positive environment. I can't even imagine that the other bad reviews are reviewing the same dentist. They just don't make any sense, but everyone comes from their own set of expectations and beliefs. I think Dr. Le is awesome and so does my daughter. When my daughter hit her two front teeth 2x in 6 months, they were grey and loose. Dr. Le took a very conservative approach with her and her teeth are still in tact and returned to normal. She could have easily recommended expensive procedures, etc. and did not. She truly cared for the best interest of my daughter. read more

Dr. Nina Le has been the best for my three daughters! Not only is she highly qualified, her office is so convenient to us living in Lunada Bay. Her office is new, clean, and entertaining to children. We could not have found a better pediatric dentist. read more

Let me start by saying my children are not easy patients. It is really easy for myself to write a stellar review as my experience with Dr. Nina is filled with respect and joy. I had met many pediatric dentists before coming in contact with Dr Nina and the girls in her office. All of her staff are very professional and take what they do very seriously. Dr. Nina always discusses your child's dental needs and usually takes the preventative course of action. She is cautious about baby teeth that will be in a childs mouth for longer than a couple of years. She has a way of calming not only the child, but the parents also. Her front staff are very knowledgeable about what is covered with the dental plan you may have and how much you will end up paying (we all hate the dreaded after bill from poorly estimated billings). If ever i have questioned a procedure or action, Dr.Nina is willing to talk and respect your decision as the child's parent, she will not do any procedure or use any medicines/treatments you are not comfortable with. True that you will not find silly voices and video games waiting for your child (there is a great video collection though), there are no wacky play areas filled with dirty toys, instead you will find a group of people whom will take care of your child and their dental needs throughout their development..... and my children are strong willed and can be, not too helpful in the chair. But she always gets the work done beautifully. I would recommend Dr. Nina to anyone that are looking for caring professional dentistry for their family. If you have any questions, please feel free to send me a message and ask. I would be more than willing to answer any concern you might have as a parent. Say no to Circus Dentistry and yes to a professional that will love your child til they are well into their teens. My children love their Dr.Nina, despite the drilling. read more

I would not recommend this dentist after the turmoil we encountered with her diagnostics. She reported that my child had 10 cavities and possibly needed a root canal. She was going to sedate my child twice to do all the work. I was a bit skeptical in this exam- first because my child has good oral hygiene and second because of the way she didn't sit and explain the evaluation and the treatment to me thoroughly. So i got a second opinion... he stated that she had NO cavities... i of course was confused and received a third opinion- he also said there were NO cavities to be found. I confronted Nina Le about this and she apologized for the discrepancy and somewhat back peddled on her recommendations. I am writing this to warn everyone that if you do decide to go with Nina Le GET A SECOND OPINION!!!! or better yet DON'T GO TO HER!!! i'm still baffled by the whole thing- is she that hard up on business and needed to sedate a 3 year old and drill her teeth to death? or is she that bad at her evaluation skills... read more

I was in Redondo Beach visiting my sister last month and my son fell and cracked his tooth late one night. Dr. Le was able to get my son in the next morning. She and her staff were wonderful and kind. My son has a sensitive gag reflex, but he did really well because of her attitude and skill. His new tooth looks perfect! Dr. Le also sent our dentist a full report. We returned home last week and had our cleaning appointment. Our dentist complimented Dr. Le's work and her follow-up with him. As an aside, because my son was nervous, I opted to stay with him while Dr. Le was working on his tooth. The front office receptionist offered to watch my 4 year old (who was playing in the waiting room) so I could be with my older son. I thought she was very nice! read more

As soon as you enter Dr, Le's dental office, the staff greets you with the most welcoming tone. My children are very comfortable when they walk in and are able to go into the rooms all by themselves! I was really surprised when my two-year old went into the room and got his x-rays and cleaning done without my presence. My five-year old looks forward to his dental appointments, as well! The office, overall, is very child-friendly. I highly recommend Dr. Le and her staff to provide you with the most satisfying dental appointments! read more

I wish I had done my research before coming to Dr Le! I was referred to her office by my general dentist and wished he had never done so. The receptionist was ok, the medical assistant was extremely rude and definitely showed she did NOT enjoyed working children, and Dr. Le was definitely not the friendliest and DID NOT showed she enjoyed working with children either. She also did yelled at my son whom was very quiet and polite and was skeptical about this experience. When I visit a dr.'s office I need to feel like I am treated kind and shown like they are happy to have me as their client well this is not the case in this office. I was really unhappy with the service they gave me and especially my young son who hasn't seen the dentist long enough since he's still in a preschool age. Due yourself a favor and go somewhere else!!! I know I will!! Not only are they extremely rude but charge an arm and leg for services. :/ never will I ever come back or refer anyone to them. So sad to have a waste of dentistry office in the South Bay with a very unpleasant dr. I normally don't write reviews but had to this time because I would like to help someone out by not waisting their time going to this horrible dentistry. For those deciding to go well I wish good luck and pls don't leave your kids side. They will get mistreated. Also, I wished I could have rated a negative rating but I could only give her a one star which was really hard to do. read more
