Apparently yelp's software thought my review was fake/made up and so ghosted it out as being "review not recommended," or some such language. So, I am going to try again. Originally I posted: "During my pre-op appointment, Dr. Bonatus asked me if I had any questions. I said "Yea, how many total hip replacements have you done?" He answered "Over 2,000." My response: "Ok, we are good to go then!" To date (13 days after total hip replacement) I'm doing fantastic according to both Dr. Bonatus' PA and the Physical Therapist. It is SO nice to no longer hurt with a bad hip! This facility is GREAT!"
A rave review? You bet! I am now 23 days post total left hip replacement and folks don't even know I had a problem (i.e., no limp)! Physical therapy tries to kill me two times a week, but I constantly get better so I can't complain.
I only had to use my walker about the first 1.5 weeks, but mostly for just-in-case scenarios. I have NO hip pain, unless I have done way too much in a day, then it's only tired/discomfort at the end of the day. No pain pills needed. Let me tell you, if you are in constant hip pain, a new hip will give you a new lease in life! A friend had her foot operated on, at this facility (different doctor), and she told me her surgeon never even came to see her in the hospital afterwards, but only the doctor's PA came to see her. In my case, the same happened and Dr. Bonatus did not come to see me, but his PA did several times. I downgraded my original 5 stars to 4 stars because of this, but I have NO COMPLAINTS in the way I was taken care of and, if Dr. Bonatus was available, I would give him a big hug for doing such a great job being I NO LONGER HURT! I am ready to live life again!
Ok, yelp, this is real and NOT computer generated! read more
