Horrible office practices. Drove a friend two hours for a simple procedure. When checking in was told there would be a delay. Found out from othet patients they were TWO HOURS behind! We had a two hour drive, so this office had ample opportunity to call & let us know so we could manage our time & not waste it sitting in their freezing waiting room. It was so crowded we had to stand, until we found chairs OUTSIDE. Patients could not eat before their procedures, so my friend had no food for nearly 24 hours due to their utter incompetence in scheduling. Would NEVER recommend this office! read more

Dr Moezzie who works with knees is excellent, but the spine portion of this practice (Drs. Jones and Meier), are only interested in doing as little as possible for the patient while collecting as much insurance monies as possible. Dr Moezzi is really the best provider I have seen at this clinic. He is very empathetic, and allows you the time you need to discuss issues. He is also very knowledgeable with my rare conditions which puts me at ease when it comes to treatment. He makes me feel safe, and confident that he can provide the best care for me. He's also super funny, and makes you laugh! He's a wonderfully fantastic doctor! Dr Flint & his staff I will also give a 5 star review. Even though I've had some small issues in the past, the PA who helped recently with trigger finger shots and carpel tunnel shots was incredible! She seems younger, and very good at handling folks with anxiety. I haven't seen Dr Flint since my last surgery with him so that's a good thing! It means the surgery was successful! I would gladly see him again if it's needed. The office staff are all very welcoming and friendly as well! Finally, Ari Bosch, PA. I cannot recommend her at all. I came in last week after an injury to my ribs. I didn't get the empathetic caring vibe that I get from other providers with the visit or the phone call yesterday. They do good work depending on the severity of what you need. Go somewhere else if you need something immediately. I've had successes and failures there. They worked for awhile, for the first two shot appointments, but after 4 years of debilitating back pain with seemingly endless epidural steroid shots in my back and begging for surgery, they failed to schedule me for surgery, let alone for any reasonable timeline, when I most desperately needed it, and was in visibly excruciating pain. A two week black out time period for the only doctor that could help, which "help" is meant loosely at this point, seems a bit extreme. I scheduled an MRI myself, at a third party, after asking many times for them to send an order over. I had my own sent over from what I knew needed to be scanned to bone and joint for them to read. They couldn't even tell me what was wrong until 2 weeks after the MRI. I don't even want to know when surgery would have been scheduled. Years of pain to be promised "this one will work" or "only 8 shots this time". I went to another doctor/ surgeon in the area and had my MRI read and surgery scheduled within 48 hours of my MRI taking place. The other place told me that they had no idea how I was even moving, driving, not incontinent, or how I was even dealing with the level of pain I was having. I will always be thankful for bone and joint for helping me in the beginning, but when I really needed it they fell short far too many times. Advocate for yourself somewhere else, and please try a different place if you aren't getting immediate help. It seems the need for so many appointments months apart really prohibits you from getting the immediate help you may need. read more

What great service, everything in one place that you need for any type of back injury. I came in from Tucson. After experiencing excruciating sciatica pain. Luckily they were open on a Saturday. And were able to get me in. They have walk in appointments which is perfect when you're suffering from pain. I walked in and the receptionist was really nice I was able to schedule me for an hour later to come back and get seen. When I did come back I did have to fill out some paperwork which only took maybe 10 minutes of that. After that they took me to the back and everything was started quickly. I received x-rays, I received further recommendations for MRIs, and they also got prescriptions ready for me. Being from out of town as you know it's always dreadful thinking that you have to go to the hospital somewhere else outside of your city. The Flagstaff bone and joint is the place to go if you're having any type of orthopedic issues. PA But there was amazing. He went through step-by-step on exactly what was going on with my back. And also did a great examination. They were able to get the x-rays done within a couple of minutes for me getting into the building. He showed me everything that was going on and why my back was having these issues and why it was hurting so much. They took care of me very quickly a very efficiently in a very professional manner. I had a total reverse shoulder replacement, and the entire experience was outstanding! The surgery was scheduled for 8:00 AM, and I was instructed to arrive at 6:30 AM. We did so, and was immediately greeted by the very friendly receptionist, and until I was released to head home at 11:30AM, was never left alone for more than 3 minutes. Without fail, EVERYONE I dealt with was very pleasant, with a smiling face. Everyone introduced themselves and explained what they would do, and then did exactly what they said they would do. They all did everything possible to keep me at ease. The anesthesiologist was especially informative, and explained everything she would do. I was surprised I was conscious as I was rolled into the operating room, and was conscious when I was moved to the "Beach Chair" where the surgery was performed. I remember assisting my move. Within a minute or two I was under anesthesia. The next thing I was aware of was being moved back to where I was taken upon arrival. I was reunited with my wife, was assisted getting dressed, and my wife was told where to pick me up, and we were on the way home to Golden Valley at 11:30 AM, exactly when predicted two weeks prior. It has been five weeks since the surgery, and I have NEVER experienced any pain that I would rate above a 2 on a 10 point scale, and I am in no way a "Tough Guy." I am amazed at the lack of pain. Looking back, there is NOTHING that FB&J could have done better. The most impressive thing to me was that there was never any waiting. This is a huge difference compared to any previous procedure undergone by me or family and friends. read more

I called in and asked to be scheduled with a certified hand therapist in which they had no problem scheduling me for 2 weeks out. I was very specific that I wanted a certified hand therapist and was never made aware that they DO NOT employ a certified hand therapist. I arrived at my appointment where I was still under the impression that I was meeting with a certified hand therapist. Turns out that was not true. I recently found out that a certified hand therapist was not who I met with and when I called to confirm this there excuse was she is testing for it in 2 months. On the morning of 21 September 2023 I arrived at Flagstaff Bone and Joint in Kingman Arizona for a confirmed appointment at 8:00 A.M. with Melisa Ogden. I had been seeing Nurse Practitioner Melisa Ogden for shoulder and back problems from 2018. Upon entering the facility in a wheelchair pushed by my daughter, I was told by the receptionist that my appointment was cancelled. Both my daughter and myself became somewhat upset since the appointment had just been made 2 days prior. When I inquired as to who cancelled this without notifying me and why it was cancelled, she did not know. Then she proceeded to get up and walk into a closed area to verify if she could double book me with Melisa and came back and told me I can't see Melisa but could get added to Ernest Monson's schedule. I then told her I wanted to see Melisa and not Ernest Monson since she has been handling all of my medical issues related to my shoulder and back for the last 5 years. The receptionist then went into the same closed area and then Ernest Monson came out and told me I was barred from seeing anyone at Flagstaff Bone and Joint and could never come back again! He was obviously upset since I refused to see him instead of my regular nurse practitioner and took it upon himself to bar me from the facility which I was getting medical services from for over 7 years. This apparently was his sole decision because I refused to see him instead of my regular medical NPT whose appointment somehow got cancelled without any reason known to me and without any notification at all. I, as a handicapped individual attempting to improve my health with a reputable company, have been discriminated regarding medical conditions and will suffer because of this individual's act of bullying and preventing my attempts to cure my disabilities. read more

If you can get them to see you at all, careful, they're just wasting your time. I got every test and procedure they ordered; I filled out every form they gave me; I did every single thing they asked of me, and this incompetent, uncaring organization still lacked the ability to walk their patient through the necessary paperwork to get a procedure. THEY COULDN'T EVEN GET THE FINAL FORM TO ME! What a colossal waste of my time and the insurance company's money, having me complete all that pre-stuff, just to refuse to provide care in the end. The first day I met with the doctor, I told them I was having trouble finding a doctor who cared about me as a patient. I pointed out that doctors won't even call a patient back. The doctor argued with me about that, but look what's happened. The doctor and his staff screwed up, but they blame me. The doctor did refuse to call, and nobody else cared enough, either. They say I was rude. Of course I was, after all those visits to various medical locations for all the pre-procedure procedures, and after numerous requests for the form that was lacking--wasting all that time and money always sets me off, but they act like I have no right to be angry with them. In the end, they couldn't even get the necessary paperwork to me. I'm mostly paralyzed in my left arm because Flagstaff Bone & Joint and the doctors employed by them screwed up and don't care enough about their patients to admit their screw-up and do the necessary procedure. But they don't care. They all got paid along the way. Me and the Insurance Company are the ones who pay, and I'm sure there's provision in the whole medical scam for the Insurance Co. to get their money back plus profit. We patients pay the medical brotherhood, and they all split the spoils. Somebody should raze that place--Flagstaff Bone & Joint--and put up a parking lot. My healing and recovery time was very quick and with minimal discomfort. My knee is strong, firm and solid only few weeks after surgery. All staff is very professional, personal and friendly. Their billing is a nightmare. When I had my surgery, I was in my gown and getting prepped and they were having me sign paperwork. They gave me some leg blood flow pumps that I specifically remember I did not want to take because I was concerned about the cost. They assured me it would be covered by my insurance. These leg blood flow sleeves would cost $30 on Amazon, my insurance got billed over $8,000.00. Yes, that's right, $8,000 which was of course not covered. Best part, they didn't even work the full night from the moment I got them so they were a terrible product anyways that didn't even do what it was supposed to. Feels so scammy and to do all that while you're in your operating gown and about to go under anesthesia and can't do any research or refuse. So disingenuous and shady in my opinion. In addition, the time to even get care is ridiculous. The doctors are so busy it took months for me to see the surgeon so that they could order the MRI, then more months to get an MRI appointment and 2 more months to get surgery. why didn't they order an MRI for me so that the consult would be useful? what a waste of everyone's time. Went in to walk in clinic for cracked rib. Having had cracked ribs in past knew the diagnosis. Strictly wanted to be seen to help with pain and make sure I didn't break rib. i was xrayed and confirmed with cracked rib. Dr. Gave me large wrap bandage and ordered Tramadol for pain. Went to pick up prescription 2 days later when I could finally drive and it was never called in. Have since called bone and joint place to get my prescription filled and was told it would be handled within the hour. That was 4 phone calls away and now 7 days later. Flag Bone and Joint is a rare case of medicine "done right" in this small town. I previously had a minor meniscus tear repaired and a severe rotator cuff injury evaluated in their old office, then the cuff repaired as one of the first patients in the new surgical center and each was as excellent a process as one could hope for in diagnosis and surgery. Most recently I was laid out with severe thigh-hip-knee-and back pain, and their same-day appointment was a godsend, as was the immediate treatment for the most severe point pain I had. So this visit was a followup after an MRI and x-rays which identified my 70 year old spine as showing some serious wear and tear. Dr. Swain was engaging, thorough, informative, and set me up so that when this recurs, I can get in promptly for pain control, which was exactly what I hoped for. And their new office adjacent to the surgicenter is wonderfully built and staffed by efficient, caring, efficient, and friendly front-desk staff who actually follow through on sending orders and such. Having recently and miserably experienced the "big dog" hospital in town, all I can say is that FB&J delivered the kind of medical care and friendliness that makes big dogs drool with envy. I went in on December 19 for a knee injury that occurred on November 11. There was significant pain and large bump still present. After about 5 minutes of looking at my leg, the ortho informed me that the bump was swelling and it may take months to heal, but that it would go away on its own. I followed up with another ortho in February because the pain in my knee wasn't going away. I was told immediately that the bump and pain was not normal, and an order was sent to have an MRI. The results of my MRI showed that I had vertical torn patellar tendon, the tendon was crushed where it inserts. I'm so glad I went to another practice for a second opinion, and that they were able to take care of me. read more
