Have not been here for several years and boy did I miss out. Food and service is very good... ambiance could be a little better but went on a weekday which explains that. The soups are very good as a whole as I tried mine (asparagus) and my partner had a been soup that was delicious as well. The cold cut plate was very good and well served. Had the branzino that was well made and the ribeye was of the best in town! The steak tartare was on the good side, nothing to write home about. We BYOB as usual and they DO have proper wine glasses, so didn't have to bring mine. All in all, will be back much more often..... cheers

Behold, quite frankly the BEST plant based Italian meal I have had to date. Served to me in a very upscale dining environment at @timorestaurant Timo Restaurant on 17624 Collins ave in #SunnyIsles Florida. From start to finish it's a very high end experience, with out the high end price tag, this 5 course meal, was $65 and was enough for 2 people. (3 of the 5 plates were split for ease of service) Not only was the environment a step above, the food was too, as each and every item was whole food, plant based and made from scratch, even the pasta. 1st course was a Beet Tartar, topped with golden beets, full of freshness and flavor. 2nd course was made to order tortellini with a parsnip puree filling that was creamier then any traditional or vegan cheese I have ever had, served with scallops made from mushrooms, that had an incredible consistency. 3rd course was hearts of palm ceviche, which was very refreshing and tasty. 4th course was home made vegan angel hair pasta with vegan meatballs made from butternut squash, zucchini and eggplant, served with the best red sauce I have ever had. 5th course was dessert, a home made coconut sorbet, served on top of a cantaloupe gazpacho and fresh fruit. Timo is a staple restaurant in Sunny Isles with a seasonal rotating plant based tasting menu. Sometimes it might have dairy, so call ahead and ask, and they will alter it to accommodate you. Trust me, this is next meal you want to eat. Gourmet, upscale dining, whole food plant based Italian goodness! And that's my #plantbasedprerogative #pbp #myprerogative

We had an absolutely lovely dinner this evening. We had a group of 7 and it can certainly be challenging finding a restaurant where everyone enjoys their meal, but thankfully, we found Timo! A few of our favorite items were: The seafood pasta with Calabrian chili - very delectable with perfectly prepared seafood and a close second was the flaky salmon with broccoli and gnocchi. We also had the lamb and goat cheese pizza, a margarita pizza, the gem lettuce salad with Cacio e pepe dressing (yum) and the pork osso bucco. I will definitely be coming back sooner than later.

I love it here. Amazing drinks, service and food. They're quick and attentive. It's dark and romantic, love it here. Haven't had a bad meal here.

Attractive decor, great vibe, noise level lively, but we were easily able to have conversation at our table for four. Everything on the menu sounded delicious. Our exceptional "guide" for the evening, Belen, was welcoming, gave a brief intro to the menu, and absolutely added to the positive experience in every way. Service and the pace of the evening was on point. We did not take her recommendation of the Salatim Tower (flatbread with a sample of every spread) to start, but built our own choose 3 + pita - all delicious!! We were ranking the spreads as we moved on to open-fire Saffron Caramelized Cod, Moroccan couscous and fire-roasted carrots. Our conversation was replaced with oohs and aaahs and comments of "yum" or "omg". We all planned to pass on dessert, but Belen mentioned their signature tahini soft serve, adding customers have called it "life-changing", so we shared one and it was. Unbelievably delicate, unique and delicious. With a bottle of wine and tip the evening was $425. Thank you, marvelous Belen!!!

We've been hitting up Mediterranean restaurants like nobody's business on this leg of our spring…read morebreak, in part because of our proximity to many, and in part because my progeny and I are currently obsessed with babaganoush in its many variations. For this particular dinner, we were also focused on finding a truly vegetarian friendly restaurant where we could take our dear friends. Kabobji was a wonderful choice for vegetarians, omnivores, and carnivores alike. It's a large restaurant with plenty of booths and large tables for gathering with friends and family. Someone I suspect to be an owner was working hard alongside his wait staff and displayed a sense of genuine hospitality. Above all, the restaurant has a rock solid kitchen. The falafel ($13.99 / 5 pieces) here were ****STELLAR****!!! They're shaped like Indian medu vada (fried with a hole in the middle), probably for the same reason: to allow as much of the surface to fry to that perfect golden crisp as possible. And Kabobji's falafel were, in fact, awesomely crisp and well textured, made from soaked chickpeas in the traditional style, perfectly sized, nuanced and subtle in flavor -- some of the best we can remember having. (For reference, we love Nish Nush and Tanoreen for falafel in NYC -- and I think our neighborhood must be one of the major international epicenters for falafel.) Also excellent: the baba ghannouj ($10.99 for the small size), just a bit chunky, enriched with a lot of tahini, a moderate amount of garlic, a touch of lemon. This is how we like to make it at home. The vegetable ghallaba platter ($20.99) was simply made with thinly sliced onions and bell peppers, a small amount of zucchini, I think, and a touch of tomato. I would've loved to have had a spritz of lemon or sprinkle of sumac for a more acidic component, perhaps a little less onion. Note that this dish works better as a main course when accompanied by something protein-y like hummus, but it was pleasant to eat alongside our other orders. A convive, who went with the mixed shawarma platter ($27.99), found it to be a generous portion size and enjoyed it, especially with a side of well composed fattoush salad (+$5.99 to upgrade). Beef shish kebab ($14.99) and lamb shawarma ($15.99) wraps were both excellent and moist, a good balance of protein and vegetable. I didn't try them, but the "cheese pies" ($12.99) turned out to be pitas covered with a large amount of melty white cheese that some young children might enjoy as pizza. (Mine probably would've found them to be "too cheesy," but they're mutants.) They came three to an order. When you dine in, they bring a big basket of warm pita / pida to the table -- quite a generous touch!! I think it's house made and of course went beautifully with our food. Bottom line: GREAT FALAFEL! Great, low-key, family-friendly vibe. Good for vegetarians and non-vegs. Go.

Because we had a large group, we ordered two veggie mezzas for the table. They come with grape leaves, baba ghannouj, and hummus, which makes them perfect for sharing. And the unlimited pita bread is always a win. The salad, so refreshing. The Lebanese cheese rolls are also amazing. Some of us switched it up and tried the spicy fish, sautéed shrimp, and the mixed shawarma platter. No regrets. The fish was so flavorful and the perfect size. LollllpThe rest of us stuck to the kabobs and lamb, which are consistently a safe bet. The space is great too. The huge windows give you beautiful lighting, and they have seating for large parties that still feels more private. We'll definitely be back.

It's a kind of place that you come with your family start with a Mediterranean sampler because of course it's going to bring a little bit of everything then the chicken Shawarma, which, with the creamiest dreamier sauce the halloumi but those lamb chops I think my biggest regret was not ordering more of the lamb chops, like I was literally drooling on that. The falafel was terrible, the chicken kebob plate was awful, and the overall food quality was completely unacceptable for somewhere calling itself Mediterranean cuisine. The dish claimed to come with peppers there was literally one tiny piece in the entire kebab. The chicken had no flavor and tasted poorly, and the rice was completely off, more like Mexican rice than anything remotely Mediterranean. What's even more frustrating is the way the staff handled it. When we raised concerns, they didn't take any responsibility and brushed it off as if the issue was on us. No attempt to fix the problem, no acknowledgment just dismissive and unprofessional. And somehow, they charge a mandatory 20% service fee for this. For what? There was zero service, zero care, and zero effort to make things right. Charging customers extra while delivering this level of food and attitude is unacceptable. Do not waste your time or money here. There are far better options out there. Honestly, I'd take store-bought hummus from Publix over this. If you actually want good Mediterranean food and proper service, go to Ethos instead it's night and day. This place is not worth it.

My favorites of the entire meal were the manti (Turkish dumplings) and the chicken soup. The manti were small beef dumplings served in a delicious tangy yogurt sauce with some sort of spicy oil on top. They were very filling. The chicken soup was rich, with chicken, carrots, celery and parsley. It had a nice lemon note as well. The entrees - the kabab and the guvec - were hearty and had good flavor. 5 stars across the board for FETA Republic…read more Earlier this week, I visited the Pompano location several times and absolutely loved it, so I decided to visit the Aventura location to compare the experience and see if the quality and consistency matched. I'm happy to say they absolutely did. The Aventura location has a beautiful open layout with large front windows that let in tons of natural sunlight. The atmosphere feels bright, welcoming, and relaxing from the moment you walk in. I was greeted by Maral, who was incredibly friendly, personable, and attentive throughout my visit. Since I already had the octopus three times this week at the Pompano location, I wanted to branch out and try something different. Maral recommended the shrimp appetizer, and I'm so glad she did. The shrimp comes in a small clay pot with a rich tomato and feta sauce that turns into a creamy pink sauce. The presentation was beautiful, but the flavor was even better. The appetizer included four medium-sized shrimp and was the perfect starter. I also told myself I would finally try something different for my entrée, especially since I've heard amazing things about the skirt steak. Unfortunately, I could not resist ordering the lamb chops again. At this point, I can confidently say the lamb chops are outstanding at both locations. The lemon butter herb sauce over the potatoes underneath the lamb chops is unbelievable. I normally do not even enjoy potatoes, but these were soft on the inside with a lightly crispy top that tasted perfectly broiled. The flavor profile of the lamb chops was once again excellent and packed with flavor. What stood out most during my visit was the service. Maral was not only attentive to me, but I also noticed her taking extra time to help an elderly disabled customer feel comfortable while ordering. That kind of care and attention says a lot about a business. It's the exact type of service you would hope your own parents or loved ones receive when dining out. I can now confidently recommend FETA Republic as a whole, not just one location. The food is consistently excellent and the service matches it. If you decide to try them, get the lamb chops. They never miss.
