My understanding is that they recently changed ownership, and they moved locations. I had heard nothing but great things about them, but was pretty disappointed with what I received. Aside from the fact that there were mishaps with the suits ordered for my wedding, the customer service was subpar as well. The gentleman we dealt with had the "well, what do you want me to do about it?" attitude. If you're from out of town and attending an event on the island that requires a suit, or tux, you might want to consider bringing one with you, or at least knowing that if you use this business, there could be some hurdles.... read more

I needed a tuxedo on short notice for a wedding and wanted to purchase one instead of renting. I found out about Timmy's so I called and was asked if I could come to the that day store. I arrived later in the day to find a nice variety for me to chose from while Timmy and the Lady ( don't remember her name) were very helpful and placed my order. They did the final fitting within days and Timmy even made the last adjustment to the pants length to make sure everything fit perfectly! Although I only dealt with the business over the phone, I would have to agree with the Justin O. in that I would give zero stars if possible. I called in to send in measurements and the lady answered the phone in a very cold and unwelcoming response. I brushed this off and proceeded to give her my measurements and she rudely cut me off when relaying my jacket measurements. She refused to take my pants measurements and said they don't accept Mens Warehouse measurements saying that they were way off. Granted I understand that she probably knows what she is talking about as she was not hesitant to mention she had been in the business for 35 years. Apparently customer service was a trait she never learned. Probably the rudest I have ever been spoken to over the phone. If I had a choice, I would not use this place EVER. I'd give 0 stars if I could. Went there to ask about hemming clothes I ordered online. The man there said online sales are what kills his business so he doesn't hem other clothes. Fine with me. Went back in 15 minutes later and the snobby lady employee saw me and said to the man "Your buddy is back. The one who orders clothes online". After standing there for 15 minutes and no one talking to me, I walked out. I was going to ask about purchasing clothes from him instead of online. Apparently, he didn't want my business. My new husband Fred Gliboff went to Timmy's and from the moment we started they were terrible. I would give a 0 as well if I could. For Timmy's, they were rude and got information wrong. Never were willing to say they did anything wrong. They rushed us off the phone when giving them all the measurements we had. They are overpriced and don't care about you. They are the tuxedo place in the keys and know that. If you are going to the keys to get married, rent from where you live and bring it with you or rent from Fort Lauderdale. read more

I live in Key West and needed to purchase two suits for a business trip. I did not want to travel to Miami or try to purchase suits while on the trip. Timmy's Tuxedo sells suits that are shipped to his store within 2 business days. All alterations are done at no extra charge. The turnaround was good for me. When I see others report bad service, I wonder if the unhappy customer was lacking tact and friendliness. Then again, their reviews were 2-3 years ago. I recently had a wedding in Key West. I rented 5 tuxedos. I brought the groomsmen in the shop during the week prior to make sure the measurements were correct. They needed to make adjustments to 2 of tuxedos and proceeded on the spot. Then they had the groomsmen try them on again to make sure they fit after the corrections. There was no extra charge. After the wedding, I brought the tuxedos back to the shop. They took them out of my arms and congratulated me on my wedding. I had no issues with Timmy Tuxedos during the entire process. read more
