We live locally and have been to the place a few times with a good experience. One Friday night, pre Covid, we went for a late dinner: 2 adults and a 15 year old. The host consistently sat 4 adults with no reservation before us for over half an hour. Same thing happened to another waiting family at the same time. Finally, I called out the bald male adult host for doing it and he gave me the dear in the headlight look. Then we left the restaurant and will never go back, EVER. Never saw waitress after rec food ... needed another beer , napkins , FORK ... two tables next to us waited over 15 minutes to get a drink ... will only go back if I sit at Bar ... saw lots of servers taking out side of kitchen ,,, need a manger on floor and would not kill to smile ... wont make it ... We returned to Time Out despite our previous experience and had a much better visit. The hostess stand was staffed by two professional and friendly employees doing a great job on a busy weekend evening. Food continues to be mediocre at best but it was served in a reasonable amount of time. Our table was in a very loud area but we had not made a reservation and were happy to be seated at all. I so wish that they would shorten the menu, make a few tasty dishes with a focus on quality. It would be amazing to have someplace like The Butcher and the Barkeep in Skippack. Very surprised by the good reviews. The only good thing was the building in my opinion. I love the old building with nooks/small rooms, very cozy. Lots of TVs that are easy to see. Great place to watch a game and have some drinks. The "left side" was laid out nicely with shuffleboards and darts around the bar with a space carved out for a small band. Other than that, it was terrible. Food was overpriced and overdone. Service was ok but weird. Waiter was more interested in getting done so he could start drinking and hanging out with his friends. The band was so bad, I can't even describe it. Crowd was fine, laid-back and friendly. May be back for drinks but unlikely for food. read more

I want to like this place so much. And I believe it just has some growing pains so that it can figure out what it wants to be. It's a beautiful space and come next football season I hope to be sitting right there watching some football games.It's big and roomy and our bartender Devon was amazingly attentive. She really has a wonderful personality for being behind the bar and I really appreciated her friendliness, her professionalism and her ability to understand what the customer wants when it comes to drinks. I am very particular about how I like my Cosmos and she was very open to how I wanted it made. And that means a lot. People have complained previously, in regards to the menu but I am so happy that they have different food. I am so tired of the same old sports bar having the crappy sports bar food, everything fried. My favorite item on the menu is the crispy brussel sprouts. Day were delicious. And I also got the cobie beef sliders which are very good they came out a little on the cold side but it's hard to keep a slider of that warm for that long. I also got the fingerling fries... Which is a better alternative to regular french fries and I appreciate that however they did not come out with my meal and came out about 10 minutes later. I still ate them but I was completely done with my burgers. They were delicious though. It is true the only vegetable they have is Broccoli Rabe which I find so random. Why not just have green beans which is a much better alternative, everyone likes them and they can go with a Burger they can go with a chicken sandwich. If someone doesn't want fries at least offer them green beans or something else. I feel that the prices are pretty reasonable and I also feel like they're still growing so I'm going to give them a couple more months and I'm going to try it again I hope to be back before then but before I write another review I'll give them a few months to get it all together. I really like the fact that they want to be a little bit classier than the normal sports bar and I don't mind paying for that. I actually like that there's a little bit of flair to their menu and I hope they don't change much. The food just needs to be a little bit hotter and everything needs to come out on time and I think it'll be OK. In the Spring and summer it's gonna be a great place to sit outside. There's plenty of outdoor seating. I think it will really kick into high gear then. Give it a shot I don't think you'll be disappointed. And again I wanna give props to Devon she's just amazing and we really enjoyed our time there. Went as a small party of 12+. Food was good. Meals were brought out to table in a disorganized way. Four meals came out incorrect and one was completely wrong. Correction was made in a timely fashion. Server was very pleasant. This place could use more visibility of upper management, more silverware, tray jacks, and more chairs. No handicap accessibility or visible fire exit to second floor room. Food is a little overpriced. Main bar and seating areas can get a little loud. This sports bar/restaurant is still new to area and is a nice addition to the Skippack area. read more

Pre-Covid we had great experiences. We came here on the Sunday night before Labor Day for dinner. Upon arriving, the hostess said the front was full and said it would be about 15 minutes. When we were seated at 8:15, she made us aware that they close at 9:00 pm, which already makes you feel rushed. Seemed very annoyed to have to seat us. The waiter was very friendly and provided good service. However, once our food arrived we asked for another round of drinks and he said the bartender told him she closed the bar at 9 when the restaurant closes at 10 according to the website???? There were about 4 other tables still sitting and eating outfront and it was about 8:45 when we asked for a second round. We complained and he said he would ask her again since we told him the website says they are open until 10 and we just got our food. He did come back with our round of drinks to have with our food however the waitress with short blonde hair gave us two wine glasses with about half the amount of wine in each glass to be considered a full serving. Bottom line.... we felt like our service was not wanted from the staff with the exception of our nice waiter. He was trying his best but seemed like others were making it hard for to him (aka the bartender ) to provide better service to us. We hope they can fix this because we loved this place in the past ! read more

Overall this place is a decent sports bar in Skippack. Their drink and wing specials are very good deals, $0.50 wings and $2 beers from time to time. The service was however mediocre at best. I was very disappointed when I and a few friends went here to watch the NCAA football championship. It was just after halftime, about 10:15pm, and the bartender said last call... So basically we were being kicked out so to speak. Can't believe a sports bar would shut down during one of the biggest games of the year... It really was time-out. read more

First time there was pretty good....second time there (Black Friday) and won't be back soon....beer list out of date and food came out with missing items. the shrimp is heavily fried popcorn shrimp with garlic butter...came out without peppers and arugula...sent it back 10 minutes later it was cold. Recently visited on two occasions, one for drinks and one for dinner. On neither occasion, and despite the hoopla following the opening, we were not impressed. We had to wait 15 minutes to get noticed to place a drink order and when we went for dinner, the food was just OK. Ordered a burger medium rare and came out well done. This place gets very crowded and is extremely noisy. The staff seem hit or miss. The TVs are nice but there is just too much noise and not enough in the way of food or drink to draw us back here very soon. I think they need to decide if they want to be a bar or a restaurant. read more

Tried out Time for Sports for the first time today. I remember the old Roadhouse, and they kept the same layout for the restaurant. The old layout with small rooms does not always work well for the sports bar when you may want to watch more than one TV. The food was good. I would recommend a smaller bun for their Kobe sliders. A lot of bun that makes the beef slider looks very small. Depending on when you go, and where you sit, it is more like a day care than a restaurant. It get's quite loud in the back screaming kids playing games. Recommend sitting near the bar areas so you can hear those your are sitting with. Lastly, the beer selection was average, with mostly your standard beers on tap. I would recommend Champs or City Works, or even the Trappe Tavern , if you are going for a sports bar and a better beer selection. read more

My wife and I were out for a Sunday motorcycle ride and choose Skippack as our destination. Upon arrival we decided to try the TimeOut. Tho hostess who greeted us was very friendly and accommodating and seated us at a desirable table. Then it began. Our server was slow in greeting us, he never informed us about their specials which was all you can eat Snow Crab legs. My wife would have ordered these if given the opportunity. As an appetizer we ordered the Dippy Plate which was three dips consisting of hummus, guacamole and buffalo chicken dip served with pita wedges and tortilla chips. The appetizer was good. My wife ordered the mushroom burger with onion rings and ordered the pork street tacos withe a side of waffle fries. The order was slow in coming but not extremely long. The burger was cooked through and tasty. Her onion ring okay buy a bit greasy. My street tacos were very soggy and immediately split open upon picking them up. The taste was not what I was accustom to having lived in LA for three years. I have learned to lower my expectation of east coast Mexican food after moving back East. Needless to say they were not eaten. The portion of waffle fries was very small for the $5.00 charge, they were greasy and had some sort of coating on them. They also were not eaten. Our server was absent so our requested to speak with the manager was through another passing server. The friendly hostess reappeared and listened to our comments and offered us her sincere apologies. She did have our server remove the Street Tacos from our bill. Again, we waited for our server to return with the bill and with an additional wait for him to pick up the credit card payment. The thing is that they were not that busy and seemed to have plenty of servers on staff. The TimeOut Skippack has timed out on our list of Skippack restaurants. read more

I have to give this place a break since it is so new, so despite some missteps, it can be a really great spot in Skippack. We went for dinner Saturday and were surprised to be seated right away, as there was a bug crowd. Getting someone to take our drink order was a challenge, but the man who I believe is the manager finally took care of it. The waitress was pleasant, but definitely scatterbrained - maybe just overwhelmed since it was so busy. My husband had to order his second beer 3 times before someone finally brought it, and she accidentally messed up our order so it took extra long. Food was very good. We had the pork burger and the grilled buffalo chicken sandwich. They have a great menu, and lots of TVs around the bar. My biggest complaint sounds dumb, but it was really annoying - paper straws! I had one in my water, and it got mushy and bent up pretty quickly. Overall we look forward to visiting again, when I'm sure the service will match the quality of the food. read more
