When I texted after the second no show, he said they could be there by 9 am "tomorrow". I really don't know why he thought I would believe someone would actually come but I said no thank you. I did a little research and it looks like Sonlight is heading more towards commercial business and it would seem the residential business is taking a back seat. I would look for a window cleaner whose primary business is residential.

Summary: 20/20 caused over $600 in damage to our house while cleaning our windows and will not take…read moreany sort of responsibility for their negligence. Strongly recommend you consider another more reputable company. Details: While 20/20 claims to take the utmost care to either prevent damage altogether, or report it when it does happen, this was not the case in our home. We just finished a complete remodel of our bathroom and part of the work that 20/20 was hired to do was clean the windows inside the new bathroom. While doing so they chipped a brand-new floating mirror (hanging off the wall several inches) that was installed and inspected a few days before they came out to do window cleaning. When we contacted 20/20 to point out what had happened, they denied any responsibility although there is clear evidence indicating their culpability. There is a large arched window in a vaulted ceiling above the countertop where the mirror is installed. The company owner (Jim) told us that the technician who did the window cleaning in the bathroom admitted he was standing on the counter with his feet right at the bottom of the mirror's edge in order to clean the window above. So, his feet were directly below the area of the mirror that was damaged. The technician was also wearing headphones so it would be difficult for him to hear if he caused any damage. Jim, the owner, will claim that there were also plumbers working in the bathroom the same day. True. They were doing some final work on the bathtub that is easily 10 feet away from the mirror and positioned perpendicular to the mirror. There is no practical way that the plumbers could have damaged the mirror (they were nowhere near it) and the plumbers mentioned that they never touched the countertop above which the mirror is positioned. Jim, the owner, will also claim that no chipped piece of glass was found under the mirror. I have no idea how that would even be relevant! If someone chipped the mirror and he was prepared to hide that fact, you might naturally assume he would remove any chip. Alternatively, the chipped part of the mirror could easily have gone down the drain of the sink directly in front of the mirror. In either case, the mirror is most definitely chipped. We have discussed this matter with Jim in person, by phone, and by email. He aggressively denies that his employee did any damage (although Jim was not present during the cleaning, so he of course has no direct knowledge). As a compromise to end the situation amicably, we even offered to split the cost of replacing the mirror. Jim had a serious negative reaction to this settlement suggestion and told us he would sue us if we posted a negative review about his company. Oh, the situation is even more unfortunate. In addition to damaging the mirror in the bathroom, his employees damage a large Saturn V LEGO rocket in one of my son's room. The damage was fixable, but what is important, is that the employee never disclosed to us that he damaged the rocket. And, in the other son's room they damaged a 4x4 Rubik's Cube (not the standard 3x3 type). In this case they actually broke one of the pieces, so the cube is no longer usable. Again, not a huge expense, but again, the employee never reported to us that he damaged the cube. So, you should ask yourself, are these the type of people you want working in your house? And, do you really want to do business with an owner who denies any responsibility and threatens to sue you?
