What a joke. I went and picked up my equipment from this spectrum site around 2pm. I was in the phone until 9pm trying to get things operational. After my 4th person, she said, well, we will have to send out a tech. I went to Spectrum the next morning and returned my equipment. Never used the equipment, they never got it working, but they continued to send bills. I couldn't spend hours, I waited an hour on hold on 2 occasions, sent 2 different e-mails explaining the situation and now they have me in collections! Stay away from this "service" they don't deserve your hard earned money...but they will bill you for it read more

Terrible service the entire time I had them. On day one the Tech gave up after he couldn't figure out how to install my internet. Told me he would come back later in the day to figure it out, of course he never does. Ended up doing their job for them. Their cable is also very unreliable. Had two faulty boxes in the year I had their cable service. Customer service line is awful too, rarely pick up the phone. If I could I would give them zero stars. Stay away. read more

I went to this location recently to exchange a remote that had broken. This location is conveniently located in Mayfair Mall right next to Macy's. I had to wait in line for a bit & then was called to the counter. The gentleman asked what I needed I handed him my broken remote & he went in the back & got me a new one. The whole process was pretty quick & painless but he was lacking personality & is pretty much what I have encountered at Time Warner. In fact I recently talked to a rep over the phone because I had gotten a post card offering me a special with Time Warner. I first wondered why I got it because I already had service with them but secondly was wondering what special was out there that I wasn't taking advantage of. The rep apologize for me receiving this offer but then offered me the 4 bonus movie channels (Starz, Cinemax, HBO & TMC) for free for the first free months & I said sure. (Duh who wouldn't take that offer because otherwise you'd have to pay about $13 a piece for each of the 4) After waiting a bit the rep came back on the line & told me that he couldn't give me that offer anymore but could give me the same offer for $10 total a month for the first 3 months which was still a good deal so I told him that to would be fine. After an even longer wait the rep told me that there was something wrong with his computer & that he had to redo my request into the computer once he rebooted his computer & would call me after he had completed my request. I made sure he had my number & hung up with him. Needless to say I never got a call back & I ended up calling back the next day to check on my request. After doing some checking the rep told me that supposedly the rep did try to call me but I was not available. (which I know wasn't true) She then told me that neither of the offers the rep had promised the day before were available & apologized. Sure wish there were more options when it came to digital cable otherwise I would switch. read more

Just had a NIGHTMARE experience with Time Warner Cable. First I had a salesman from TWC come to my door stating that I could get everything I have with UVerse (cable with dvr, internet, and phone) for $50.00 cheaper a month. He also said that they would install new fiber optic cables and not the old coaxial. I thought great, saving $600 a year, sweet (just so happens he was lying and sold me a package more than what I was currently paying). Two days later they show up for installation, no fiber optics (fine, I can live with coaxial). The tech spends an hour looking around my house for a place to do install in 4 different rooms, then decided it would be best to run cables from the outside of the house to each room. So after drilling holes all over my house I check the outlet in the bedroom and it was literally knee high in the middle of my wall (I'm 5'10" btw). After a sevenhour install (SEVEN HOURS!!!) he brings in the equipment, and no DVR's. His work order says nothing about total home DVR. Then he hooks up the wifi router and phone and the phone does not work. He calls the service center and they get the phone working so he leaves. Later I discovered that not only did the tech forget to put silicone into the outside holes in my brick house, the service center turned on the phone and turned off the WiFi (so not I have no internet service). I call TWC and they said they will have a tech out the next day, at 5:00 PM. The next day a different tech comes out and he has the DVR boxes, but one is different from the others and will not sync. He tells me that I have to take the box to a TWC store and get the right box and hook it up myself. After the WiFi is turned back on I go around the house checking signal strength. Only one room in my house actually came close what I ordered (some rooms had as poor as 2-3 mbps). I complained about this and the tech said that the router was in the wrong spot and that I had too many devices and needed to pay for more speed. I said that was ridiculous because I never had a problem with UVerse. He really couldn't care less and left again without filling the holes outside my house. So let's summarize this: 1. Lying salesman who sold me a more expensive package than my current UVerse service. 2. Holes in my exterior brick walls than were not patched and knee high coaxial outlets. 3. Unprofessional technicians that could not get my service straight. 4. Extremely poor internet service. The good thing about this story is that I never canceled my UVerse service so now I am in the process of removing the knee high cables, patching the holes in my walls (both inside and outside) taking all the equipment back to TWC, and canceling my service. Do yourself a favor and don't use TWC. read more

Worse internet service ever and worse customer support ever. Internet goes down on a regular basis. Our TV buffers all the time. We work from home and have lost countless hours of work. Which means we are not making money. If you work from home DO NOT use them. In fact, i wouldnt recommend them to anyone. This is an absolutely awful service, terrible company who takes customer for granted. I have been on calls with them that last 30 minutes with no resoluion. My time is money and they dont care about that. This company is poorly ran and their employees are nothing more then robots "call us back after the outage so we can credit you" ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I have just held 30 minutes you want me to call YOU again to get a credit of $2.00 first how about a flat credit for terrible service second YOU call ME! I'll be straight forward with this. I hate paying for cable and its absurd prices, but with football season on my doorstep and no alternative, I had to bite my tongue and surrender to the cable monopolies. So... I think, if i go into the store and pick up the cable box and other goods, I will save myself the pain of installation windows and having some guy wearing "booties" in my living room. Step 1 accomplished. Box home, installed. But oh wait... I still need to wait a couple of days for a filter to get removed from a cable line somewhere. Fine. 2 days later, the cable is unblocked and i go to activate and watch TV and no.... the retail employee at the store gave me the wrong cable box. Back the store the next day to get the correct box... When will the days of streaming internet based TV be here!?! read more

They only get 1 star for having a remote that lights up. Otherwise. This company is pure evil. It is a company that simply steels from their customers and is too big to have anyone do anything about it. After sending my account into collections, because I cancelled my cable with them (they hiked all their pricing up and added on fees and refused to remove them. I told them to cancel my account, and come get their equipment) They turned it off, but then charged me without me knowing for three months of additional service ! I then started receiving collection calls. They wanted $370 for cable... when i didn't even have their cable any long. Long story short... I just finally paid the $370 becuase I have been harrassed for three years. Tried to talk to numerous people... all who could care less. And now this huge company is $370 richer because i had to get the collection off of my crediit report. This is CRIMINAL!!!! And they have done this to two of my friends. I have spent the last 3 days trying to get service started on my move in date. They have been so incredibly unhelpful it is absolutely amazing!! I signed up for service online that was painless, but shortly after received an email stating I needed to call them, so I did this... They are refusing to set up service for me because the man who previously lived there (who no longer is there) apparently never turned service off!!! So instead of charging him a fee for not turning it off and accepting payment from me for a new service and collecting money from me they don't seem to want to help so they are making this incredibly hard for me!! Now if you don't use the service for the entire month you pay anyway. The people were nice however the gentleman at the door explained the 18 person line as " every day at 4 our lines get like this". Now there were 3 people working. If I knew my store was this deep in a line after 4 I'd look at my schedule. I am very disappointed with the customer service at Spectrum. My father passed away and we had to transition the service to another family member. I asked if we could get pricing options for either keeping the same phone number and transitioning the current service or ordering a new service. I was told by the customer service representative (Vonda) that she would not provide pricing on any options. I was told I needed to commit to keeping my phone number and transitioning the account before she would get me a price. We went back and forth on this about 5 times before I finally gave in and committed to that option so I could get a quote. What terrible customer service that Spectrum won't provide pricing information prior to making you commit to a plan. I've never been impressed with Spectrum's service and now I am very unhappy and dissatisfied customer. read more

Since Spectrum has taken over the Milwaukee market, They have created a monopoly that appears not to be broken. Fact #1 They claim they have the best network coverage on Cell phones. Thats a lie, My friend has the same I phone as me but she has Verizon I'm my condo which is 5 blocks from spectrum Milwaukee Head quarters. (They claim to be part of Verizon) I have two bars ,she has 5 .My phone freezes on google maps. Now the TV Cable. We are a Condo Association and they sold us another lie that by converting form our old Time Werner everything would be the same . Another Lie. When I watched the Packers play they had another day relpay available . Now you have to Join the NFL network. Same for College games I missed the Wisconsin football game . Terrible customer service. Bill went up and called to get it fixed. They offered to take channels off for $13...really? I pay over $190 a month for TV and Internet. Although they have an intro deal for 29.99 plus another $40 for extra channels and that it for TV/Internet/Phone, I do not expect to get intro pricing. But I do not expect to get raped after being with them a year either. What kind of business model is this??? The would rather their customers leave after 12 months due to jacked prices rather than raising their prices to a reasonable amount to try and retain customers instead of churning them - especially if there are other options...well goodbye Spectrum! read more

Run as fast as you can!!!!!! This company couldn't care less. We've been loyal customers for 23 years,Time Warner/Spectrum. Never, ever, ever missed a payment. My story is long and probably one that everyone has heard already so I'll just cut to the chase! Cable box starts to act up. Call 1,2,3,4,5,6! Ta dah! Call 6 decides that we need a new box. Hallelujah! Right? Wrong. They send a. Box that is at least 8 years old. I ask the tech, can we still record 5 shows at a time? This box looks old. He says yes. Well low and behold we can only record one at a time. ONE! Does that even exist anymore? So... the day before the tech comes, we get a letter stating that our monthly rate is increasing by $34. I call about the useless DVR box and she offers me a $5 credit! You heard it right $5! That was the worst thing that that customer service rep could have said besides "we don't care". Actually the same thing. So, 23 years later and We are moving on Spectrum! You suck! read more

To my pleasant surprise, I had an excellent service visit at the Wauwatosa Time Warner office to get advice on internet needs and DVR options that resulted in a new package for better internet and a total home DVR set up. Nicole Vish, the Retail Sales Specialist , did a great job of presenting options and arranging a technician visit that works well for scheduling during my day. The visit to the store has a low wait time and was profesionally handled. An extra note is the store is not in the mall but is across the street on Mayfair Road. read more

Excellent customer service I pay for my sisters cable who otherwise would not be able to afford to pay for her own and I like her to know what's going on so the guy that helped me was just wonderful and they take out their monthly payment just as they should and when I have to make changes they do with no issues I'm very happy with this company I wish we had that here in Las Vegas. read more

I visited the Wauwatosa store today to exchange my cable box. A representative (Vonda?) greeted me at the door and quickly signed me into their kiosk. After about a ten-minute wait, she herself offered to help me. She made sure that the replacement box (different model than the one I was returning) was the correct one for my TV. Service was very efficient and pleasant. All other reps also seemed professional in demeanor. My experience was so different from some of the negative reviews posted earlier that I was moved to write my very first Yelp review to give this store and its workers a huge shout-out. First of all let me say I've been a loyal Time Warner customer for over 12 years. I took everyone of the raises even when they became the biggest rip-off in business. Now Spectrum takes over and they want to rip you off worse, charge you more for less service. Yes we can lower your bill down $10.00 by giving you cable which amounts to basic cable that runs $39.99 at best a year. Basic channels only to reduce an already absurd monthly bill only $10.00. As much as I hate to give these guys a high mark, they do get it. I switched providers two weeks ago and thankfully I have 30 days to end service without penalty. I have spent more time on the phone with internet and billing issues with the new provider than I ever did with TWC in the last 6 years. Big mistake to change service - found my internet speed is significantly slower and costs more. Plus, the new provider's service is unreliable. Disconnected 5 times this morning between 6 - 6:30 am. Bash this company all you want, but they do have an unbeatable service and it is cheaper than its competition. Intuitively, I had not cancelled my TWC service nor had I returned my equipment. Our neighbor had his internet disconnected. They disconnected ours instead. The customer service rep was rude and not helpful. We called twice. She lied about dispatch and said a manager would contact us. That never happened. I called again today and found they scheduled us for a service call tomorrow without telling us. read more

Absolutely the worst company and store location I have ever dealt with in my entire lifetime. A few months ago I decided to switch my cable/internet services from TWC to AT&T (for obvious reasons). I went to the store and turned in my cable box and modem thinking I was finally done dealing with them. A month passes and I get a bill in the mail. Confused I go to the store asking why I'm still being billed. A gentleman whose name I don't recall told me it was for outstanding equipment that I didn't turn in. I explained to him I was just there a month ago and he said he would file a claim. Another month passes and I receive a bill again. Extremely frustrated at this point I go to the store where a woman explains to me that no claim was ever filed. She tells me she will take care of it and assured me someone would contact me. Nothing happened, no one contacted me and I ended up getting a bill in the mail from collections. Decided it wasn't worth it anymore and just paid the bail for $271 dollars! How they figure that cable box and modem is worth $271 dollars is beyond me. Stay far far away from these asshats. read more

Typical cable company. Horrible customer service on the phone and on chat. Incredibly not helpful. I have had one tech to the house in the past year, and frankly he was excellent. But the way they continually try to screw you on price increases is terrible. and you have to watch your bill every month as they try to bump it up. the latest is the $5.99/month rental fee on the internet modem. that's $72/year. You can buy one at Best Buy for $89 and you own it forever, and lose their stupid rental fees which are on top of their road runner charges. This review could be written for TWC, Spectrum, Charter, or AT&T as they're all the same company. No where else to complain except local but calls to the national sales line is the problem. I recently got a flyer from Spectrum (I have internet service with Spectrum) which had a large graphic that showed "TV + Internet Service from $44.99 /month for 12 months". I figured since I already was paying for internet already I would get TV for free. WRONG!! After many questions about how many TV sets, what kind of phones we have, and what kind of shows we watch, she finally gave me a quote of $185/month. I told her again I only wanted the $44.99 service and she said that would cost $128/month. I asked again why I couldn't get what the flyer advertised and she said to read the flyer again. The fine print states that the TV service can be added to my internet service for only $44.99 a month and with royalty and equipment fees, the phase of the moon, penis tax, etc, it came out to $128/month. I wonder how many people get suckered into this scam? read more

My technician supposedly arrived but never called. So he just left. Then trying to reschedule took 40 minutes on the phone. Unacceptable.

Save yourself a lot of time and money and just avoid time warner, their service is absolutely terrible. The network always seems to go down and the Internet they offer almost always goes out or runs at a snails pace. I pay for this and I can't even use the features. The on demand never works and when it does it skips! The on demand menu is so blurry that reading it is very difficult. I've called them a few times and they have not done anything to solve my issues. I'm done with them now. read more

This review is specific to the Mayfair location. I came in with a positive attitude to discuss my newly increased rate and was told there was nothing that could be done with that rate. I asked for a manager, was met with the same reasoning: Becsuse I am an existing customer, I do not qualify for any deals or lowered rates. I was "saving" $20 per month despite my bill going from $135 to $168/month. No additional services provided to offset that cost. I will say I am a manager in a customer service industry, and how these operations are performed do not emphasize what the customer needs - it is strictly saying to the customer, our dollar is more important than your experience with our company. That is NOT how my company operates, and our customer satisfaction is off the charts in a positive direction. If you take care of the customer, the metrics and finances of a business speak for themselves. Instead of "this is only what I can offer", speak to the customer with support and say, "let me find what I think will work for you". If you honestly cannot give any more options, provide the customer with the customer service number and don't let a customer leave angry, feeling unsupported and undervalued. No better way to lose business and to lose trust within your company. I will say, when I called the corporate office, I was met with significantly improved customer service. Each person I spoke with on the phone really listened to what I needed, and provided me with the services without question. It's time to stop pointing the finger at the customer, saying that he or she is in the wrong, and owning your establishment to give the best experience a customer could want. read more

I would've given this a zero star had there been an option. I had a TWC connection which i disconnected during the first week of Jan 2013. TWC owed me a refund close to $40 and guess what.. I am yet to receive that refund even after 2 months!!! I do my due diligence in ensuring whether i have received the refund via credit card/refund cheque but no, each and every customer service representative that i talk to gives me a different answer. I even told them to re-issue the cheque or refund the amount directly to my credit card but to no avail. Even escalation to the Customer service supervisor yields no response and the standard answer is "check back after 3-5 days". I am really appalled by the service i get and would not recommend their service to anyone since i do not want anybody to go through what i am going through in order to get a refund. STAY AWAY FROM TWC PEOPLE!!! If this is the service i get for somebody who has been their customer for close to 5 years, i shudder to imagine the kind of service they would provide to somebody new!!! read more

Time Warner SUCKS! I have been with them over 9 years and seldom get things fixed the first time, or even correctly. Way over priced for what you are getting! Got slamed with an outlandish bill once my "promo deal" was over...even after bundling things together. The best they could do was a "new" deal at a still high cost. Customer service could care less, the wait time to get through was madding. They came out for the same problems every year I had the cable. First it was because the equipment could not deal with temp. changes, then it was because others on the line were somehow drawing the signal away from us...then it was the cable box was too old, and after a replacement the same things were happending. Channels that would not come in unless you went to the station before the one you wanted and switched back. We had to reset the cable box at least twice a day, etc. What a pain!
