Service is poor, lot of buffering with the internet and you call and they don't fix the problem.

We had Spectrum business service and when we cancelled the service because we were moving and they were unable to run our final bill on autopay for some reason, they never contacted us. They just sent us to a debt collector. We never received a paper bill, an email or a phone call. Their service in our area wasn't that great anyway, but this has been a waste of our time and looks bad for our business. read more

Terrible internet service. The condo complex I moved into has Spectrum, and it's paid through the HOA. I moved in less than 3 months ago and outages happen at least once a week. Otherwise, the internet speeds are often sluggish and frustrating. I've lived in several cities in the US, and this is easily one of the worst I've experienced. read more

If you get Spectrum Business they charge you for not doing automatic payments. Their business modems drop internet pretty much all the time. I help other businesses and nonprofits. Spectrum is the worst provider on the planet. Suffered with their raising rates, no notice, for years. Their DVR does not go to all the TV's in the house unless you pay BIG add on $$$. I was so happy AT&T put fiber on our street. Such a better company to deal with! When i notified Spectrum I was leaving, they shut off my email address immediately. Months ago when i asked about this they said i would get at least a couple of weeks to use my address after cancelling, instead, the address stopped within minutes! The rudeness of the sales associate with the red dreads blew my mind. I'm standing in line as a customer and she is having a full blowing conversation with her friend that stopped in to catch her up on the latest word on the streets. How do I know? Because as soon as I got fed up and moved closer to them, the lady said, "I'll stop back later to catch up." and she left. Awful! Spent 45 minutes on the phone with a rep because I wanted to switch from AT&T and YouTubeTV. Talked about everything that I need in a TV/internet service. What the rep failed to tell me was that what I was signing up for would only work if I am watching TV on Roku or a Samsung TV. What a waste of time!!! Well, we are moving to Cleveland Heights and my husband set up the appointment for the service tech over a week in advance. He drove 2.5 hours from Columbus to be there, had the large TV with him...the tech claimed they needed every TV in the house in order to test, to hook up anything, including just the internet...which is complete nonsense. I run my own business, I need the internet. He starts orientation for School tomorrow... After reading these reviews, I'll wait however long ATT wants me to... It seems every day there is something wrong with the cable. I even got a new box and it still happens. My internet is out today but usually internet service is ok. Your choices for cable in this area suck, and Time Warner is a big part of the reason why. Inconsistent internet connectivity, extremely overpriced cable tv packages, the neverending "bundle with a completely useless and outdated landline" bs up-sell garbage, and my bill is ALWAYS higher than it should be. There is ALWAYS a line that moves painfully slow when you have to come to this physical location. Employees openly talk $hit about customers in front of you, real classy stuff (although at this point, I've come to realize that this is standard operating procedure for most people who work in customer service positions on the east side). I've cancelled my television service and if I didn't need internet for the days when I work from home, I'd love to cancel that as well... Even worse, TWC provides the internet for the company I'm currently working for, and it is essentially dial-up speeds circa 1996. We've had IT professionals come out from our corporate office, we've had TWC's lackluster technicians come out, and after months of nonsense, nothing has improved. It's too bad there is not a zero star rating for this company and their BS. Every major sporting event in CLE never works on the internet/TV connection. Always an issue with the web Tv. The wind blows the tv doesn't work, major sporting event on...the TV doesn't work, raining out, the TV doesn't work. Snowing, the TV doesn't work. Always have to call them and it's like they don't even know it's not working. I know they just want you to buy more boxes and now eat up their bandwidth. When I first got my box it was 3.99/ month. Drove home and got my bill they raised it $2 /month with no warning. Shittiest service ever by morons manning the phones. Funny how whenever you call the service lines are busy for 30+ min but the sales lines are always open. Do yourself a favor and get dish network. read more

I have/had only internet from time warner now spectrum. I paid $54.99 a month for 30 mbps. I have been paying my bill to spectrum for some time now. I received my new bill of $79.99. I called in and asked for the promotional rate I was paying. The lady told me the best she could do is $59.99, I agreed reluctantly, then she asked if I rent a modem. I told her I have my own, she then told me the best she can do is $64.99??? I told her I will not pay that much and will switch to AT&T which was cheaper. She said okay, so I hung up and did some research. The new CEO of spectrum is willing to sacrifice 50k customers a quarter until the time warner promotions run out. He is taking the gamble that most customers will not switch, and will be happy with the lower price they offer ( for me $64.99 compared to my bill of $79.99) and get 100mbps. I do not need to be paying more than the $54.99 I was paying for more speed I do not need. They offer new customers $35.99 a month for a year? And yet a current customer who has never missed a payment, they are gonna jack up the price??? So AT&T offers me fiber optic 25mpbs. I had it installed and tested it for streaming and gaming before I canceled spectrum. Yes AT&T has a data cap of 1 terabyte per month. I checked my spectrum usage and never went over 750 gigabytes, and we watch a lot of Netflix. :) I am paying $43 a month now with AT&T and the guy told me to call for my promotional rate a month before it expires and they will always extend it. Yes there is. $90 install fee, but they do send you a $50 gift card, so the $40 install out of pocket is still the cheaper route. Once I knew I was sticking with AT&T. Spectrum (ex. Time Warner) should be ASHAMED of themselves for their lousy service and high prices! I got rid of my cable TV, since the bill was rapaciously high, but kept my internet connection. I never get even near the 30mBPS speed I am paying for, which is still very high at around $80 a month! I get 'error' messages when I often try to get my e-mail too. There has to be a better way to get fast and reliable internet and e-mail, as well as the more popular cable TV networks! read more

I am not reviewing any specific location of Spectrum/TIme Warner Cable, but the company overall. It sucks! I used to have AT&T U-Verse and loved it...never had a problem. Then I moved and the only service offered was TWC. The installation at the time was a complete nightmare, but that's another story in itself. But my complaint is the crappy equipment they have you pay for monthly. Countless times a week/month I have to disconnect and reconnect the system to get service. I am on my third remote and it takes me so many aggrevating attempts to turn on the t.v.! It should be as easy as pushing a button...but no, a half hour later I am trying to sync the system and t.v. up to turn it on to watch a show (which is half over by this time). AT&T has internet availability now in my area. I'm waiting for the cable and then I'm gone! This is beyond ridiculous ! read more

Spectrum is truly a joke. The prices are to high for the service. I've been a Time Warner customer for many years and their prices were a little high but nothing like Spectrum. At least Time Warner would offer specials for current customers from time to time to lower your bills. Spectrum only offer specials to new customers. WOW is coming and I cannot wait. Their service at SPectrum TIme Warner or whatever name they are today is despicable and useless. My friend went FIVE days without service, was told her service call was cancelled when it was not, waited when they did not show, then had to leave and they showed and left even though she assured she would be home in 10 minutes even as she drove there. She drove miles away to obtain a new box and then could not install it alone. Yet this scum company is running commercials every 10 minutes on every channel. WOW is going to charge half as much for an internet and cable package. Not to even mention how Spectrum does not provide a decent cable channel guide list in print, nor a large print for vision impaired, only saying it's on their website to print it. Have had to wait over 20 minutes for the cable to reboot two times a day/night. Hurry WOW, Hurry!!! BTW, New WOW is looking for us with Medium Cable package to be $75 and goes up to $85 the 2nd year. I also tried a company called Billfixers and they were not much help since we refuse to give up our landlines, but they may help someone else. read more
