The creamed corn tasted straight from a can, and the mashed potatoes were so dry they practically crumbled apart. No one at the table felt their meal was worth the stop. And the one thing everyone raves about? The famous house-brewed root beer. Unavailable. The substitute? "House strawberry lemonade" that tasted like Minute Maid with strawberry syrup mixed in. Seriously?! For a place with such incredible marketing and nonstop highway hype, the actual experience fell completely flat. Maybe it's time to light a fire under the cooks and servers, because this felt less like a legendary South Dakota meal and more like a red-hot disaster of a family dinner.
