Such welcoming, friendly service in a chill, relaxed atmosphere. The beers are also awesome! The Charmed Irish Ale with marshmallows was deliciously sweet and tangy. The Tangerine Wheat was sweet and juicy. The Land Speeder IPL was amazing; so hoppy but light. The Hardrocker Blonde Ale is full of flavor and still light and refreshing. The Wally Walloon Belgian Blonde is hearty and nutty and great! Such an awesome flight experience. read more

After 4 months of doing absolutely nothing, we decided to fly to Rapid City to get outside for a week; Dakota Point has the distinction of being the first brewery we were able to visit after being in lockdown. Oh how I missed the brewery scene, Dakota Point has both inside and outside seating (the latter being seasonal I presume). We had our first beer inside, then decided to go out on the porch. Beer selection was good, after being away for lo long, I kinda forgot what to expect from a brewery, but they brought me right back! Really like how the brewery is right next to the freight rail line that goes through town, drink (responsibly please) every time you hear the train whistle! Friendly staff and seemed to follow social distancing and mask wearing best practices, even though they aren't required by the state government. read more

I tried a handful of their beers in a flight. All were very good. Service was a bit spoty. The bartender gave me a paper to write my selection on but then didnt come back for it for a while. I am so torn on this place, I really wanted to be able to give it 5 stars but in all reality it gets a 3 and half. I am not that hard to please, the number one thing for me is customer service and honestly thats where Dakota point loses points, we had never been to dakota point brewing before so obviously we had questions on the beer options, but we felt like we was an inconvenience and felt like the server really didnt want to deal with us. Which was a shame because the place had a nice atmosphere and the beer was decent. It isnt the best craft beer I have ever had, but it was decent, I was disappointed they didnt have a sour available as thats my usual go to, but I wouldnt dock points for that. Overall it was an ok experience but I am not in a rush to return, there are so many other options locally. read more

A neat little place just off the beaten path. Kind of hidden off the main drag of west Omaha. Eclectic beer selection. Even a pear cider I first encountered with the Brits in Afghanistan. Friendly service and good conversation. Well worth your stopping by to blow a few suds. read more

Negative vibe from the get go. Women that was taking our order was highly annoyed with us asking questions and asking for samples. They did not allow samples on several of the beers. Then they were not selling pint glasses. It was just odd and not friendly. Beer - was ok. I would not order it in a restaurant. FYI no popcorn on food truck days. Ugh read more

I have the Minnesota Hop Passport and our bartender (didn't catch his name but he said he had only been working there for 4-5 weeks), gave us the awesome idea of getting stickers as well as the stamp for each brewery. Overall an awesome experience although the food truck didn't have any vegetarian option (not Dakota point's fault though). Our bartender was awesome and made the experience better (he had just moved here from Fort Lauderdale and he even gave us some pointers for our next trip). The Kettle to the Metal sours were awesome and the brewery had an overall awesome vibe!!! read more

We left Lost Cabin Brewery and walked over to Dakota Point Brewing. Wow! What a difference in service and it's a no wonder why Lost Cabin was packed and Dakota was over half empty. The older blonde server-the unfriendly, non smiling, ungrateful for her job server was just that. She did not smile. She did not greet. She did not thank us but was sure to run to her phone to text someone after she sold us beer. Not a good rep for your company. read more

This place opened up right down the road from Lost Cabin, and it definitely lives up to the neighborhood competition. Plenty of patio space and some good beers to go along with it. I will say the only beer I've gone with is the Little Hope Pale Ale, and it's a solid choice. They have about 10-15 beers on tap, and hearing from other people that have gone there, there really isn't a bad choice. And with Dakota Point being a block off of Omaha, it feels a little less crowded than other breweries in Rapid City, and a great atmosphere to have a nice conversation without having to lose your voice or hearing. Glad to see the early success this place has had, and the craft beer scene develop in the Black Hills. read more

Very disappointing having to write this because they have a beautiful little setup and some really great beers, but this was the worst customer service experience of my life. From the very start we were greeted with attitude, one bartender stating immediately that she was "really crabby all of a sudden", and it only got worse from there. She also stated that she'd only give out samples if she "felt like being nice." Our group didn't even get to finish one beer before we left due to the lack of respect from not only the staff, but their friends who were also there and shouting profanities at us. My husband and I love going to breweries around the black hills and supporting local businesses, but unfortunately that was our first and last visit to this particular one. read more
