We popped in for a wine tasting after lunch next door at Firehouse Brewery. There was a great variety of wines to choose from. Our server gave us great notes about each wine and what to expect. We especially enjoyed the sweeter wines and port. We ended up buying 6 bottles and they comped our flights! They also serve small plates and pizza. read more

They have a Riesling that is so sweet and delicious; a dessert wine from South Dakota that I couldn't resist getting as gifts. They are going to start shipping wines to Florida @ $14 per case so I want to save the contact information and reach out. read more

I have been a wine club member of the FWC Winemaker's Collection for years! This last wine club allocation was the worst. The customer service I received was "I already apologized" & "I cannot do anything else". Additionally, management has never reached out. I am no longer a customer. read more

Both the wine and the pizza are amazing. Owen in the wine bar is THE BEST! Get a flight and stay for a bottle.

On our first night driving through and what a great find for a Friday night happy hour. $5 wine until 6! Live music! The wine was excellent-Cab Franc! We brought a bottle to take home. We ordered the Naan bread pizza and the cheese board which features a local cheese; tonight's was a Gouda-very good. Velvety texture with a wonderful crunchy bread, balsamic vinegar and oil. So glad we found this one! read more

Service was the best it could be. We had a wine tasting but the person working (not her fault) had to work both wine and gift shop . The gift shop personnel wasn't there or wasn't working. Wine was just ok....... read more

Folks, don't be fooled. There is good wine in Rapid City. I won't lie, I came in pretty skeptical but was beyond surprised not only by the quality but also the age of the wines they put for tastings at such a reasonable price. At home (Chicago) most places like this serve super young stuff that really isn't very good (a la Coopers Hawk, etc). Come to taste the 2020 (unofficial) Sangiovese alone. For 2 bucks! Great service, fun setting with a good mix of locals and tourists. Highly recommend! Cheers! read more

My husband and I are wine club members although we don't live in the area so we don't get to stop by very often. On our week trip back to Rapid we stopped in for a few tastings and decided on our last tasting to get their charcuterie board and it didn't disappoint. All the servers were so nice and knowledgeable each time we went. Highly recommend a stop by! read more

I had an amazing time here recently, came around 2pm and stayed until 9:30! Great prices for wine tasting and awesome wine slushies. I cannot wait to get another work trip and come back here! read more

Admittedly, we came at probably a bad time, they were about an hour away from closing, and apparently they were just celebrating a major anniversary (25th maybe?), so they have been swamped all weekend. The staff seem tired and somewhat in attentive, but I can understand given the festivities that have been going on all weekend. They were nice and giving us some samples, and we walked away two bottles of wine that we really enjoyed. We were not able to find what we were looking for, but it looks like it was just something that they no longer have in stock. When you're talking about boutique wines, that's just the way it goes. We will probably come back and I fully expect to be better on a normal day one compared to where everybody's just coming down off of a giant weekend. read more

Obsessed with this place! Please, do yourself a favor and stop by here when you're in town! They do wine tasting flights for only $5 - the most incredible deal. You get to taste 5 different wines from their locally made bottles. The staff is knowledgeable and so friendly. Not only do they have great wines but they also have beers and wine slushees. We ended up ordering 8 bottles to be shipped back home because we loved it so much! read more

Nope nope nope. The wine options are not good. The service was nice the ambiance and location is great but it just does not deliver what you expect it to. May for beer? But as a wine bar absolutely not! They then try and sell you on the wine club that you can join. Ok, I'll do it. Canceled the first month the wine selection was terrible and they sent a different wine than what was for the month. There are better places around the corner. read more

On our recent trip from Denver my wife found this place from a brochure at the hotel. Were glad we did! They offered free tasting for $5! This is an awesome price! We entered and were met by the most pleasant hostess/bartender in the yellow sweater. My wife is a wine drinker and had many questions. Our server was super knowledgeable and friendly. Also, another employee was there. Both provided us with extremely friendly conversation. We ended up purchasing two bottles for $25 each. Excellent atmosphere and the most pleasant conversation. You don't want to miss this cozy little wine bar as I would have to say was one of our most enjoyable stops on our vacation. read more

MOMS! Wine during your family vacay. A tasting of 6 wines for $5. Spaced Masked staff Impressive selection of wines made by the vinater with grapes from a cross the US. Loved the dry sauv blanc and banging rosé. We bought a case and they shipped it home for us (not wasting room in the back of the SUV). read more

Enjoyed the wine tasting. Employees were very nice. Enjoyed talking to the . Purchased several bottles of their wine.

This place is great! We spent several weeks in the area. We went here several times for wine and lunch. Every time was an enjoyable experience. The staff are all wonderful. They are welcoming, helpful, and knowledgeable about wine. The wine here is very good. I'm a new member of the wine club because it is so good. The food was good and, as often mentioned, the price for wine tasting is fantastic. The beer is very good here as well. You will enjoy your experience here. read more

Stopped in with my wife to do a wine tasting. Ended up walking out with 3 bottles of wine. The staff was very very friendly and knowledgeable. All questions were answered and we were given full attention. I don't like white wine as much but I want to let readers know that the unoaked Chardonnay is a unique wine, it is like reading a tense book with a satisfying and savory ending. When you first smell it, it's kind of repulsive and yet has a scent that tastes nothing like the smell. I wanted to try the Cabernet Sauvignon but the cellar was sold out. Tried the merlot and was really surprised and that was our second bottle. Since I am not writing this at home I don't remember the 3rd bottle we purchased. The first 2 really stood out for me. I feel this is a Rapid City gem and we will definitely be returning to try the Cabernet Sauvignon. Again the staff is top knotch and it smells amazing in the place. I think they have a cheese plate you can pair with wines if your sitting in and I want to try that next. Thanks for having such an amazing place firehouse! read more

Firehouse has a ton of signs - some funny - along the I-90 corridor coming into Rapid City. A brewery, knick-knack shop and a wine cellar comprise the trio of Firehouse stores on Main street in Rapid City. We stopped by the Wine Cellar on a Sunday afternoon. Did not see any signs for a tour, but the two staff were very welcoming and offered us samples of the wines. Very knowledgeable and answered any questions we had. The "Mythical Beast" was my favorite wine, but our party of 3 ended up with 6 or more different bottles in our final order. Bonus review: the knick-knack/souvenir store next door is a fun place to look through. Staff there were super friendly and helpful too. If you are in downtown Rapid City, do stop by and check this place out. read more

The wine was wonderful but the charcuterie board was the worst! Lunch meat, basic cheese and crackers, chocolate covered pretzel thins. I could have done better by going to the grocery store. The water served was tap water. I was very disappointed :-( read more

Great wine tasting with Dustin - glad to see you hire experience employees for wine tastings. For lunch, my husband had the hearty sausage dish and I had the chicken sandwich. We loved the fire doors being opened all the way for outside air and social distancing. read more

I paid $18 dollars for the large meat and cheese tray for our group and literally received 2 dollars worth of cheese and meat and only enough for one person, maybe one and a half. The crackers and toothpicks were forgotten until we asked for them, and then we were given a basket of crackers that wouldn't even feed one person let alone an entire table of us. Will never spend my money on it again and possibly never come here again. Do not recommend. The Mythical Beast wine however was delicious and definitely recommended. The wine is the only reason why I am giving two stars instead of one. read more

While opinions about wine are subjective, hospitallity and good customer standards can usually be agreed upon. The staff here ensures everyone who walks in the door get what they want. What a blast!! If y'all need some direction and entertainment, William is your guy! We "Yelped" our way into Rapid City and came across Firehouse Wine Cellars by way of Untappd and Trip Advisor. Keep in mind, the brewery/restaurant are separate from the Wine Cellar, yet they are right next door to each other. The wine is all to die for. The prices are reasonable. The food is top notch. The service is superb What a fun night! You've got food, beer, wine, and party all together! read more

Stopped in for a wine tasting and was greeted by a friendly face-Stephanie I believe was her name. She was quick to pour us a few samples of wine we wanted to try, and my husband and I ended up getting a carafe to share and it was plenty for us and at a good price too! Stephanie was very knowledgeable about the wines and was super friendly. Would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for some good wine in rapid city. read more

We enjoyed our wine tasting in Hill City. Our guide was knowledgeable and engaging and we bought three bottles of wine. Disclaimer: I haven't been to the Rapid City location, but it looks AMAZING! When I'm in the Black Hills I love to stop by the Hill City location as it's closer to our family ranch and less busy than Rapid City. We like their wine enough that we joined their club and we've been having it shipped to us in California. The delivery always comes with a handwritten note and a little gift like stickers, coasters, bookmarks, socks, etc. Which points to what I might love most about Firehouse: the people. Whether we get to visit in person or we have a delivery of wine, we feel like family. The staff is friendly, experienced, and you always feel welcomed. On our most recent visit our party enjoyed flights of beer and charcuterie and once again, Firehouse nailed it! There's something for everyone whether you hit up downtown Rapid or cozy Hill City. Relax awhile, enjoy the beauty of the Hills and meet some new friends! read more

On our way from Omaha we saw at least 4-5 billboards advertising this place. More specifically, these billboards advertised free wine tours daily at 1, 3, 5, and 7 PM. I have been on several wine tours before and thought that there was no such thing as a bad wine tour. This place definitely proved me wrong. I have now decided that any place that needs to advertise itself about 200+ miles out from the destination is a place that I should not visit. We arrived promptly at 7 PM for the tour. The man who led it might have been the most lackluster individual I have ever met. From my experience, brewery and winery tour guides are usually really enthusiastic about what they do and where they work. The same could not be said for this man. He was about as dry as the red wine he served us. I think the idea is great as who doesn't love a free tour that includes a taste of one of their beers, along with a taste of two wines (a mildly oaked pinot noir and a sweet white wine). With that said, I just couldn't get over how bored I was and how much the man who led the tour just did not seem excited at ALL about this place. After the tour, things only got worse. We went to the tasting bar to try some wines. There were three people working and only one customer, yet we were ignored for about 5-10 minutes until my husband got assertive and asked if we could do a wine tasting. The wines just seemed really off to me, almost watered down. I will say that they had a red blend that might be one of the best red blends I have ever tried. With that said, it wasn't enough to save this place. To think that I decided to come to this place instead of getting sushi......such a mistake. read more

Firehouse has three different types of shops right in a row on Main St. in downtown Rapid City (brewery, souvenir shop, and wine cellar). The wine cellar shares a space with the souvenir shop, and it has a nice cozy atmosphere. There is a cellar tour, however our group did not partake. It is good to note that if you check-in on the Yelp app to Firehouse Wine Cellars, you get a free tour that includes 3 wine samples. Even without the free wine from the check-in, the wine sample are extremely reasonably priced. The deal they have is 6 wine samples for $5! Great deal. And the staff member who was helping us (William) was so patient with our group, and he gets an A+ for customer service! Definitely stop by if you're a wine fan and in downtown Rapid City! read more

We were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed the wines here. Because, let's be honest, South Dakota is not known as a great wine state. However, their dry white wines were crisp and pleasant. The reds really stole the show though. Their Cabernet was straightforward and easy to drink, a really nice table wine or every day wine. The 2018 Syrah was by far our favorite. It had a lovely finish with just the right amount of berry flavor and spice! Our sommelier was amazing, she even gave us a great recommendation for dinner and for places to visit during the remainder of our trip! read more
