Definitely was a great experience. Doorman was knowledgeable about Service Dogs. Management was but still confused a PSD with ESA. Once educated they allowed us in to an over pack location with no live Jazz playing. It was more of a hangout spot. It was a different vibe than expected.
I have never been to Time for Happy Hour. This was my go to spot for drinking at night back in the day. This place wasn't as crowded when we came at 5p on a Sunday but suddenly it picked up. I like how the bar was a long rectangle size. There was plenty of space for everyone to sit comfortably at the bar. The happy hour menu is very decently priced. I got the John Daly which was vodka, lemon, and black tea syrup. I felt like it was too sugary but it was a decent size. I had a champagne as well which was pretty nice. The champagne here is interesting because they put a sugar cube in there. Food wise we shared the pulled pork sliders, whipped feta, and half pound mussels. For 5 dollars, the pulled pork sliders is a must get. I really liked the bread and the pickles. The half pound mussels was really small. We were shocked it was a half a pound. It was pretty good and had some spice to it. I really liked how this dish had hot Italian sausage. We also had the whipped feta. I liked the pecans that were on top of that dish.
We stopped in here before getting dinner nearby. The cocktails were delicious. I got the Bring the Noise. We also tried the Into the Mystic which was more unique and cool if you're into whiskey. We noticed the menu says if live music is playing $5 per person is added to your bill but the music was fantastic.
I have been here several times in the past decade, and don't remember a time when I didn't enjoy it. The drinks are ok but the live music is excellent and the sweet potato fries are good enough to make up for the lack of creative drinks.

Very cool jazz club downtown, it's really a wine bar with live jazz but it was nice. Reservation highly recommended since it's popular. Good for dates or ladies night. Loved the green beans, best green beans I've ever had. The banana espresso martini was okay.
Very cool vibe. Great music -- live. Organized service. While not hugely staffed, waits for drinks were not long. And the place was semi-full. Well managed. Did not try the food but people were ordering well after midnight. An abundance of things to choose from. The closing check did not give me sticker shock. Most drinks are in the $8-10 range. Tried to go back the next night but standing room only. Place was packed. Will return. Check it out. -- workingman's gourmand.
I stumbled across this place during my visit to Philly, and I was so happy I did! I came with a colleague and we stumbled across Time and a live Jazz fusion band that was really jam'n. Amazing spot to catch some live local music, drinks were good and while it's a small space, we were able to find a space to enjoy.
We came to get some food and drinks on a Monday night. The deviled eggs have lots of flavor. The order had two eggs cut in half. We also got the Mac and cheese which was very cheesy and delicious. Our drinks were standard. The bar wasn't very clean and the bar tender was cleaning anything off. Someone spilled a drink on the chair next to me, and it remained there until another patron came in and had to ask for some napkins to clean it. We went Nextdoor to the music room and enjoyed the band. They had 8 or so people in the band! The crowd was loving it and I didn't want to leave. I'll be back again for some dancing and music.

All you need to know is that this place is iconic, an absolute staple of Center City, and a must see if you are visiting the city of brotherly love (and sisterly affection ). No other place like it. You've got your top tier artists - all Philly locals - playing some of the best live jazz you'll ever come across, amazing quality food (get their fries, they're addicting), phenomenal drinks (try their Absinthe if you wanna have a great night ), incredible service, and just the best ambiance and atmosphere you'll find in town. There's literally nothing more you could ask for! Time is, and forever will be, my #1 go-to local spot - whether I'm in a chill and more low-key kind of mood, or it's the weekend and I am ready to have fun and party, they truly have it all. There really aren't too many places that I can genuinely say that about, I mean you literally cannot go wrong when you head over to Time. I very highly recommend this place, it will not disappoint. read more

Miss Mary Mack Mack Mack's mother gave her $0.15 to see the boys, boys, boys pull down their... wait, what mother gives little Mary striptease money? Well, you'll hear about the answer to that, and many other things at the Erotic Literary Salon, which occupies the 2nd floor of TIME every 3rd Tuesday of each month! My mom-escape date with myself this week was to explore a genre of writing I know little about, by attending this fun erotica event! They start off with adult sex ed (anonymous questions in a jar), with a well-established sexologist answering, as well as audience input. Then, open mic for an earful of crazyazz stories! From true tales direct out of the mouth of a young dominatrix (who may also have been advertising), to erotic fiction (read by a local author, from his book) about a naughty boy who got it on with Zeus, despite the wrath and fury of Hera! Any and all can sign up to read, and whatever form of prose you have will do. We heard about spanking fetishists, car fetishists, one dude's poem on his oral technique, etc. OMG, I did not realize how virginal my ears were, but man, they got deflowered Tues night! The crowd was standing room only at the climax of the eve, with people of all kinds of cultural / sexual / age diversity. You'll find outrageous characters here, as well as vanilla beans. And everyone from virgins to old playboys! On one side of me, there were two Bryn Mawr College students, and on the other, a 71yo man singing songs about polyamory. The sexologist who runs it, even tells her own wild tales, when she introduces various segments of the 4-hour night! In the Q&A portion, I learned the best sex toy stores in Philly, and why not to go to others, that there are Rxes for a vacuum device, book recommendations, info on tantra workshops, and a HOST of other clubs, events, etc. you can join. They even had samples of free lube, which a nearby couple was so excited to find. When I returned to my table after a trip to the ladies room, someone had left a caricature of me at my seat. LOL! It was NOT flattering. Not sure if someone has a weird humiliation fetish or what, but at least I wasn't peed on. I have to admit, when I sang "Miss Mary Mack" in grade school, I always thought when I got to middle school, I'd be offered the $0.15 show... I never was...until now! This is a very interesting, artful, fun event, done with humor and respect for everyone in the room. There were couples, singles, girls' night groups, etc. People all out for a fun time, and to cheer others on! TIME itself: I arrived early and left a little late so I could enjoy the TIME venue, it's food, and drinks. When you enter, there is a sports bar atmosphere on the right, and live music in the whiskey bar on the left. Upstairs is the event room in the Absinth Lounge, where this event was held! The music at HH was chill and relaxing. Very jazzy / bluesy, which I really like. It was such a nice touch to have music that early, and then they had an edgier band playing later that night. Most places don't offer one act on a Tues night, let alone two. I thought both were great! Can't wait to go back for more! My waiter downstairs was super helpful with my questions about choosing a whiskey flight, and the bartender upstairs was truly professional, and totally kind about handing out free, tipless ice water to everyone all night too. I had a $28 Maker's Mark whiskey flight, and a $5 HH chicken sandwich, which were both great. HH is from 5-7pm, very convenient timing! There was an option of fries on the HH menu, which I saw a lot of people get. I wish I'd ordered it because it looked delish! Put it this way, I heard all kinds of tantalizing stories that night, and maybe it was the drinks, but all I dreamt about all friggin' night was pursuit of those fries! Next time, TIME! * * * * * Again, every 3rd Tuesday (of EVERY MONTH), the 2nd Floor is host to the Erotic Literary Salon event, from 6:30pm to 10:30pm. Yes, FOUR HOURS! $10 or $12 (cash) gets you in the door, depending on seating preference. There is a bar in the event room, so you have your own bartender, and he also gives full menu service. Great atmosphere. Food was good but nothing that blew me away. Everything is reasonably priced and they have a large whiskey selection. Service was nice and friendly but a bit under staff as it got more crowded. Would come back for the drinks and to watch sports. There is also live music on the other side of the building most nights that gives you options on how you'd like your night to vibe. read more

Super cool vibe. We came there to grab a night cap and I'm glad we did. We didn't know that there would be live music but it was some slow jazz- not a personal fan of slow jazz but the band was good. Some of the names of the drinks were from the show It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia- ex there was a Sweet Dee & I ordered the Kitten Mittens- a delicious gin drink with raspberries in it. This is my second time visiting and I really do like this place. Each visit I have come on a Sunday around 8pm. I always make reservations which is a breeze. Jazz is always soothing and relaxing. The decor, the lighting, seating and waiter's are always very pleasant and warm. The food is delicious always served hot..which I love. I cannot stand being served cold food. On the other side is the whiskey bar. I have not gone in there yet. The decor is different and the lights as it should and the there is the upstairs club on Friday and Saturday and now we was told they are trying out a Thursday night. I have not been so I honestly can't tell you anything about it. But this place so remind me of how Natalie's was back in the day. Oh parking, there is a parking garage across the street but due to construction the street is blocked off so you will need to park around the corner or take Uber. read more

This restaurant is a fantastic date night idea. The live music was subtle enough for you to enjoy your dinner conversation while giving the place a mellow vibe. We came here for restaurant week. While the portions were on the smaller side, the courses were flavorful and delicious. For an entree I had the maple glazed salmon which was the perfect blend of crispy tenderness. The combination of salmon and apples was sweet and tangy and made for a perfect complimentary combination. For dessert we got the pots de chocolate which was a velvety rich chocolate delight. Although we did not get drinks this night, the table next to us ordered a whisky that was an artful production for the perfect pour if you are looking for a mellow relaxing date night with delicious flavorful foods this is your place. read more

I have passed by Time a few times, and have never bothered to walk in, as I can not commit to live bands I don't know AND have to pay a cover to hear. BUT, I'm really glad that in this particular night, we came and got there early enough to miss the cover, but late enough that it wasn't empty. There is minimal seating area, but just enough to make some friends. If you do require seating, make sure to get here early. We met up with friends upstairs which had a really cool lounge vibe. The DJ was great, playing 90s hip hop and rnb, I was completely in love with every song. After about an hour the place went form semi empty to cramped like a club! Despite the blistering cold weather outside, ladies were decked in crop tops and plunging necklines in here. I can't say much for the downstair bars, as they had much more seating room and were so packed, I didn't even bother to stay. It is a very odd layout, making it feel like almost 3 different bars in one. Which is cool if it's winter and you don't want to bother with your coat everywhere. We came outside for some air and at 11 pm on Friday night there was a line down the block, which for me is ridiculous. They were already charging a cover and drinks are not very cheap inside. So for me the biggest selling point is that you can come in a big group, get your dance on and do some great people watching. read more

For my first restaurant week try of 2016, Time was a fun experience. I loved the ambiance, decor, and live music. There were times when the music got a bit loud, but it was really enjoyable ( such as a little jazz rendition of "Fools Rush In") We stuck with the restaurant week menu, although many items on the regular menu were jumping out at us (duck confit, chicken & waffles..) We both got to start out with a deviled egg, pickled veg, and a smoked salmon mousse canape. Every bite was packed full of flavor. For the second course, we shared the caramelized onion & mushroom soup and pork rillette. The soup was beyond delicious, especially with the fried shallots. The pork rillette could have packed more of a punch as the flavor was a bit subtle. The grilled bread was a nice vehicle and although the pickled onions were great, they overpowered the pork. Next was a risotto course. Loved every bite!! It was perfectly cooked with a creamy texture and the butternut squash bites added nice texture to the dish. For the main dish, he went with the Bucatini with mushroom ragu and I was all about the Salmon with brussel sprouts, bacon and a rutabaga puree. Both dishes were hits and plates were cleared!! Onto dessert..this got a little more interesting. He dove into his bread pudding and I always love Chocolate Pot de Creme. First bite, SALTY. Hmm, maybe they were putting sea salt on which would have been fun, but no.. I went for a second bite to just make sure..SALTY! So I looked at him and said taste and let me know your thoughts. He got excited as he scooped this really smooth and creamy dessert onto his spoon and as soon as he tasted it, we both started laughing. Salty desserts are an inside joke for us. He said, it's salty. I said no, it's a salt lick. LOL The server was walking by and I think he noticed I wasn't touching the Pot de Creme. As he cleared the other empty plate he asked, was that by chance salty? Extremely. The server admitted that one other table said the same thing and they think the pastry chef grabbed the salt instead of sugar..which would make sense. He insisted on bringing out a new one and I caved. This one, although the flavor was great, it was pretty damn thick. All in all, it was a good time at Time :) read more

Happen to stumble on this place. Wanted to go to El Vez but the wait was too long for the company. Was with so we found this place within a block. Half of it is a jazz bar Half of it is a whiskey bar with TVs There was 8 and we were seated right away. Waiter was cool ,attentive and knowledgable about the menu There is a dinner menu and there is a bar food menu Cocktails- I tried the "regrettable text"- sweet drink with vodka, lemon, sugar and passion fruit. It was very good Bar food- my favorite was the shrimp and grits. SO GOOD- has hot sauce with you can taste a lil old bay Also had the mussels in wine juice. The sourdough bread that came with it was good! Also tried the Mac and cheese- it is with fontina cheese topped with two small pieces of pork belly. It was good but not my Fave . I tried someone's deviled eggs and it was good. I saw the chicken sandwich and the burgers someone had and it looked good read more
Great drinks, love the appetizers! The variety here is endless from a jazz bar, to a regular bar and then to night club! These guys have it all and their food is ON POINT. The shrimps and grit appetizer is like a party of flavors in your mouth! The fries are great as well. These delicious mussels seafood devours come all the way from the infamous Center City Philadelphia jazz bar TIME restaurant/bar. This bar is really special. It's dim come cool collective environment gives off the perfect jazz vibes. It offers two types of bars. The whiskey bar and the Jazz bar. They have a really huge selection of whiskey and the whiskey bar and a really nice selection of wine and spirits and the jazz bar. They offer a live jazz a couple nights out of the week. While here I chose to order the prince Edward Island mussels in white wine sauce. The muscles were absolutely delicious. They had big chunks of garlic, baby tomatoes, and a slight softwestern taste with peppers. I also ordered a Tequila pineapple. My bartender Matt was really dope and really charismatic. We also share the same taste of music as he turned the whiskey bar into a really dope R&B hang out spot for a much more younger crowd. As for the Jazz bar it was really interesting seeing how much people live out to the live jazz music. I really enjoyed the jazz performance and I really enjoyed my overall experience at TIME . I visited Time during restaurant week and had a fun Tuesday night! They have a few extras added to their restaurant week menu courses like Hors d'oeuvres and a risotto. This makes you feel like you are getting a lot for your $35. I had a carb filled night with the vegetarian options available but all were pretty tasty. Started with the hors d'oeuvres, then chose bruschetta for the first course. The risotto was next followed by the second course of bucatini pasta. I ended with bread pudding for dessert. It was open mic night so we stayed a while after dinner to listen to the live music. The house band played through our meal. This is a fun and relaxing, casual atmosphere. Very dark and of course loud so be prepared if you plan to visit. read more

Jazz-drinks-food: in that order. They have regular entertainment and all of it is worth coming out for. Good wine selection, bartenders make good drinks, and the food is decent. We had the seared scallops app, not bad. We also had the fillet and gnocchi which were pretty good as well. The food isn't amazing by any means, but it's good considering there's jazz and good drinks. Check the music schedule. We really liked "The Sermon!" They play one a month, 2nd Friday of the month. They are SOLID. read more

Question about the vaccination proof, is it required to have a physical copy of vaccination card or will a photo suffice?

Yes they are open and it's a fantastic spot. If you went 4/4 they were closed for annual employee party but otherwise always open...check it out!
