Personal bankers have always been great to my family - we've had home equity lines of credit applications go so smoothly. Their website is good and their mobile app is superior-what a convenience. This bank is close to my building and I had a delivery due shortly when I realized I didn't have…read morecash on hand to tip the drivers. Grabbed a roll of quarters to exchange for the cash and ran into this spot. They were empty except for the three women working behind various desks. They said that they wouldn't help me because I didn't have an account with them. Ok, I guess... Then, they proceeded to passive-aggressively point out the signs by the front. I said it seemed like a rule that a manager could override, and that is pay for them to make change. They again referred to the sign. After I explained that I'm a disabled vet, and my neurological issues make it difficult to read long signs quickly as one would while passing by, they essentially explained that it was my own issue and that they don't help people without an account. Ok... But, did they need to clown me for being disabled?... That part was a little excessive. But, admittedly, it wasn't completely unfunny afterward when I thought about how they were talking to me slow and loud as if I was either dumb, or didn't completely understand the language. It would have only been better if they tried to use their hands to draw out what they were saying. Hahaha. Anyway, walked into the Bank of America across the street and they helped with no questions. Out of appreciation, have since given Bank of America a few of my accounts for tenant's security deposits. It's always my intention to support the little guys and any sort of independent businesses.
