I can say that a lot of my recipes come from her and her skills that she instilled and taught me as a young girl and into my adulthood. I truly enjoy cooking and cooking for people.  It took me many years to find my nitch in this world. Being an artist I've painted portraits, landscapes, and have designed multiple dresses. I have even dealt my hand in literature, writing poems and short stories. One thing held constant with me though and that is cooking. Baking has been and will always be my sense of relief and relaxation. I have enjoyed it and continue to enjoy what I do.  My goal is to aim higher and continue to break the barrier of what a normal cake or dessert should be. I aim to challenge the mind and explore every possibility of creating a masterpiece.

We stopped at this cute & quaint bakery after visiting the Silos & before heading back to Austin. There is a charming area to the side of the building with several tables covered by umbrellas & surrounded by potted plants. It was too hot to sit outside! The interior is small but nicely decorated. There was a line but it moved rather quickly. The young lady behind the counter was sweet & helpful. We ordered a chocolate cupcake & a lemon lavender cupcake to go.
