Love this place. It is well kept, the owners are awesome people, and there are so many things to do right nearby. The rooms are clean and many are newly renovated. Great place to spend a few days either in the warm months or during ski season.

Love this place as a stop on our annual Bike trip! The rooms are nice, and the Inn is right across the street from a great Steakhouse!

The location was perfect as it was right near Okemo and had a shuttle pick us up to get to the mountain.

And this year was THE YEAR to hit up Vermont for skiing b/c they got more snow than they've gotten in almost a decade--so the skiing was the best east coast skiing I've experienced ever! And, if you're in Vermont skiing, you must drop by Main Mountain Bar & Motel. We weren't staying there as motel guests, but we heard that Main Mount was the place for fancy cocktails... and whoever told us this information was spot on!! Every cocktail we tried at Main was unique and super tasty. My favorite was the Good 'Ol Boy cocktail, but I also recommend the New England Sour--it's like a Whiskey Sour but with Mulled Wine and Cocoa on top. As for atmosphere and service, both are great! The interior decor is more like a cozy (but slightly modern) mountain house library (an atmosphere you might expect in a hip Brooklyn bar), and it's very inviting! And the bartender and servers are amazing and really friendly. As for food, we didn't try any on the first visit, but we ended up going back to Main Mountain on our last night of the trip b/c we found out that, on Sundays, they host a burger night! Ummm... yes!!!! So, we went back, I had another Good Ol' Boy, and we downed some yummy Smash Burgers and French Onion Mac & Cheese! Oh, and PLEASE order a side of their pickles! They are life-changing! Bottom line = check out this bar if you are in Ludlow, Vermont for skiing at Okemo or just visiting for some other reason. You are sure to love it like we did.

As a bonus, that friend happens to have a very nicely stocked bar downstairs. Justin showed us around and up to our room. After putting our bags down, went to the bar for a drink and I was impressed with how comfortable the place felt. While we were sitting enjoying a very nice beer and some Chartreuse, plates of food and desserts passed by that looked amazing. We didn't get to sample them, but I'll be sure to do so next time! In the communal kitchen, they offer complimentary homemade granola with Vermont yogurt and milk for breakfast, which was quite yummy. There is also drip coffee, and espresso drinks for a small fee. When we come back for a longer stay, it will be great to make use of the very nice kitchen to cook some meals. We stayed in the bunk style room which had plenty of space and super comfy mattresses and linens. The bathroom was immaculately cared for as was the rest of the hostel. They also have a heated mudroom so you can keep your skiing/riding gear out of the main building but still warm for the morning. Thanks Eliza and Justin, it was really a great stay and we hope to get back there soon!

From the main lodge are a couple of very short and slow lifts that take you up to areas which give you access to additional lifts. I really liked the variety of runs and that it wasn't overcrowded. I would love to try some of the other sections of the mountain in the future. The terrain park looks fun (if you're into that). My only complaint was how slow most of the lifts are... but that didn't detract much from my overall experience.

Okemo is part of…read morethe Epic Pass resorts owned by Vail which means that if you buy a pass early you can get skiing a reasonable rate, in 2026 the multiday pass was about $75 a day. Getting to the resort is easy, it is located just off the main street of Ludlow, Vt., which was about a 30 minute drive from where we were staying in Londonderry, Vt. There are a number of parking lots; both days we arrived early so we had a choice of the 2 free lots near the base area. Equipment drop off is easy and the walk from the lots is not too far. The biggest issue is to get through the resort to the base lodge entails quite a lot of stairs. The lodge itself is what you would expect, nothing fancy but more than serviceable. The restrooms and changing areas are downstairs, which is made a bit harder by the angled staircase, which can be a bit challenging when you are in ski boots. The changing areas have seasonal lockers, rental lockers and free racks for bag storage which is appreciated. At the base lodge you have 2 lifts that take you up the beginner area and allows you to access the rest of the mountain. The main lift for the main face is a high speed 6 pack with ubble covers for the chairs. From the top you can make it to the other areas of the mountain. We skied all of the areas of the resort the Main Face, the South Face, Solitude and Jackson Gore. Okemo is great for cruising the Blues and groomed Black runs. Even though the conditions were icy and not everything was open Okemo provides plenty of variety and skiing. I really enjoy skiing at Okemo, the mountain is pretty easy to navigate. There are a wide variety of runs especially for intermediate skiers. A really fun and enjoyable couple of days skiing.

It's so pretty and the landscaping and flowers are wonderful. We loved the pool and hot tub as well. It's very peaceful and relaxing. The Castle building really is gorgeous as well. The staff at the hotel are very nice and want to be helpful. We used the spa and it was okay. The gym is large and well equipped. I had a massage which was okay. The room I was in had a window which faced the road and the traffic noise was louder than the spa music that was playing so didn't lend itself to relaxing. The massage was over $200 so I didn't think it was a great value because I didn't really feel fully relaxed after it. Ask for a treatment room on the pool side of the building if possible. We ate at the restaurant and it was pretty good. Prices were high but seemed to be about on par with another meal we had in the area. Service was nice. Our room was okay...very spacious but the lack of outlets is tough to manage in 2025 with so many devices to charge. I understand the building is very old so I get that there aren't a lot of plugs. My Verizon connectivity was terrible in the whole area and due to a wide-scale outage, Wifi was not working when I was there, which was problematic because I had to take a business call. That and a couple of other issues with our room led to us leaving early to find someplace that had a working Wifi connection but I have to say the staff were helpful and understanding. It was the off season and I think maybe they were a little short staffed but I get that it's tough for businesses these days. Overall, this place was fine and it is very beautiful.

The setting is beautiful, and the property has a lot of history -- over 125 years old and once belonging to Governor Fletcher, with only 12 rooms. Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing. We checked into Room #9 and right away noticed issues. The bathroom door lock was broken, and I ended up getting stuck inside until my husband let me out. There were also many dead bees on the floor when we arrived, and by the next morning we saw live bees in the room. Since the windows didn't open, I had no choice but to kill them. Service was limited -- no housekeeping even when requested, and the hotel felt very understaffed (likely because it was off-season). The spa treatment was okay, but there was only one massage therapist available. The pool area was relaxing, but that was the highlight. The bee problem got so bad that we cut our stay short. Although we had booked for three nights, we left after just a day and a half, checking out at 9 p.m. on the second night because it became unmanageable. Staff sent a technician, but the only solution offered was to spray, and the bees kept coming back. The environment and historic charm are wonderful, but the property isn't being maintained to the level it deserves. Sadly, I don't see myself returning.

Skye was amazing even before we arrived at the Inn, when I called to inquire about the accommodation, amenities and tips in the area; she made us feel welcomed already and excited about our trip. During our stay Skye proved to be amazing! Anything we needed was promptly addressed and taken care of! The remaining staff we met were professional as well, friendly and welcoming: Nikky, Steven and Susan, who is in charge of the breakfast were always pleasant and attentive. The accommodations itself was beautiful, clean, renovated and comfortable; I especially appreciated the fireplace and fully equipped kitchen with very good quality cookware, utensils, full size fridge and electric hot pot for boiling water for tea. Still too cold to use the balcony but the pretty Valley view made up for it! TV in each room lots, of electric outlets and one of the 2 bath tubs had jets which we didn't use enjoying the heated indoor whirlpool. The tavern was closed but we didn't mind as we rented after the season an we enjoyed the peaceful week! The breakfast was served every day and included which was helpful and appreciated. A separate beverage station offered all day and evenings excellent coffee, teas, cappuccino, latte and hot chocolate as well as sparkling and flavored waters. We definitely would love to return one day, depending on our time and life circumstances. Thank you Jackson Gore Inn for a very nice stay!

Bathroom has ample space, but not enough supplies were left (soap, shampoo, etc), but there were ample amounts of towels. Ski racks were installed near the door, which were very handy to hang up all our equipment and outerwear to dry. The beds, however, were ROCK HARD, and there was no fitted sheet on the mattress, only a tucked-in flat sheet (which came off halfway through the night). We barely got any sleep, if any. We had a corner room, upstairs, next to the access stairs. We could hear every footstep within 50 feet. Not so bad, because skiiers in this ski-town want to sleep to have energy for the slopes, so we only heard footsteps before 10pm and after 7pm. Continental breakfast offerings were mediocre. Pastries were still-frozen, fruit was not ripe (totally-green bananas), and their waffle-maker tripped the circuit every couple of minutes or so (obviously overloaded). I voiced my concerns about the beds and the waffle-maker circuit (fire hazard!) to the hotel website, and was promptly replied to by the hotel owner (locally owned). He said they planned on replacing the bedding and mattresses after ski season. and were going to address the circuit issue. i'll leave that to future reviewers to confirm if this was done or not. If they fixed those issues, i'd stay there again. The rooms were pleasant (except for the mattresses and sheets), and the location was great. Throw in a good night's sleep, and it would be ideal. But until they do address these issues, i'd stay somewhere else.
