Room 5

We have just arrived and I am pleased as punch! Charming, small motel. Easy self check in. We even got an email early in the day telling us our room was ready and we could check in at any time. It's immaculate! My parents were motel owners on Cape Cod when I was a teen. This place reminds me of the high standards my folks had. I was a chambermaid through high school and there were always "inspections". Kudos to ownership here. We come here every year for the bluegrass festival and just need one night before we camp at the festival. This will be our annual go to. And I will book 2026 before we leave.

"Great little motel in the middle of nowhere" is how I described it to people. I typically stay at places like the Marriott or Hampton Inn but decided (on a whim) to stay here while I explored the area for a few days. Self check in was easy and my room (#9) was very nice! TV and Wifi worked great. Water pressure and temperature was great -- bed was comfortable, etc. There are some Adirondack chairs right outside to relax in. There is also a little lounge that had snacks and DVDs. For breakfast there was coffee and cereal and a few other things -- more than I was really expecting, to be honest! My communication with the owners was all done by text but that was fine with me since I only stayed over one night and then left in the morning. I guess you could say it's a little spooky at night cause you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but it was fine and very peaceful. When I checked in I seemed to be the only guest but when I came back to the motel later, there were several cars. I would definitely recommend it!

Gathering room - can have breakfast here, get snacks, play games, hang out here

I highly recommend the Brittany motel if you're in the Manchester area. The owners/staff are so kind and thoughtful. They allowed us to do non-contact check -in and were very responsive to any questions we had. I wish I had a better picture of our room, because our room is so cute and has everything you really need. The room and bathroom were clean and have the perfect "modern" / Vermont feel to them. Also, they have a gathering area to where you can get breakfast every morning - they had eggs, fruits, freshly made cinnamon bread (it was so good), and fresh coffee. They also have a bunch of drinks in the fridge and snacks for you to buy, for only $1. There's also games and DVDs as well. Another perk of the Brittany motel is the view... outside our room we had the most beautiful view of Mt. Equinox. Lastly, my bf and I went to ski at bromley, Stratton, and magic mountain. Bromley is 18 min away, Stratton is 35min, and magic mountain is 35 min as well. You're so close to Manchester as well, a 7 min drive. I highly recommend the Brittany motel- the service is unmatched, our room was so comfy and cozy, and affordable. I will definitely be coming back!! They are great!

We needed a room for a pass through in Manchester and didn't want to spend a lot just to rest a bit. There weren't many options so we chose Brittany. It is definitely dated and offers only the basics. If you're over 50 you might find it reminiscent of the road trips you took in your youth. Very clean. Super friendly hosts. In the world of hotel ratings it really is a 3 but I would come back. Other reviewers complained about price but $130 in Manchester is very reasonable.

The owner is warm and welcoming. She made fresh muffins in the morning, and shared the most delicious strawberries.

It's about 30 minutes from Stratton, and was exactly what we needed for our limited ski budget.

I'm gonna share these thoughts in no particular order. The hotel is incredibly dog friendly. That really stuck out. They're human friendly as well, but they are especially dog friendly. My impression of the hotel is that the Kimpton brand is so incredibly good at bringing outdated into today and still keeping the classic or historic elements in place. You can see that here through some of the photos I shared. Feel free to grab a bike or a scooter from the front and take a ride around town or around the property. If you brought your dog, grab a stick from the dog stick library and if you need to sit down and have a drink, every evening at five there's a Social hour where you can meet your neighbors and play some checkers over a glass of complementary wine or beer. There's usually some sort of snack involved and plenty of activities inside or out. The entire staff is friendly and genuinely helpful. It might be an act, but it looks like they enjoyed being there. I would highly recommend staying here if you're in the area. Here's a couple more notes. They have activities from bocce ball to a swimming pool, and the library is full of activities for people of all ages. Don't forget to grab a complementary cup of coffee in the morning on your way out for the day. The property and the rooms were always clean and the AC works like a charm.

It is a very dog friendly property, so if you aren't thrilled to see a dog in your hotel I'd stay somewhere else. We also booked as part of a sale on Travel Zoo and got the rooms for a great price. My daughter locked herself out of the room and they came up right away to let her in. Rooms and bathrooms were clean, comfortable, and the beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. We had a small coffee maker and a refrigerator. The breakfast downstairs was surprisingly good. I have a gluten allergy, and there were plenty of options for me. There were eggs, bacon, oatmeal, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, and Cheerios. I rarely find that many options at a free hotel breakfast. The rooms were not inexpensive - I paid just under $400 a night, but everything was clean, well managed, and thus I don't mind paying more.

First impressions mean a lot, and ours were favorable: Handsome and well-tended grounds and a warm welcome at the reception desk. Our king studio suite was ample and spacious, though the layout is a little awkward. The bathroom seemed newly refreshed, with barn sliding doors and a large walk-in shower. The buffet breakfast had all the greatest hits one would expect (waffle bar, oatmeal, eggs/sausage/hash browns, fresh fruit, yogurt, toast/bagels/pastries) and plenty of hot beverages and juice. Though Manchester has an abundance of inns and B&Bs, if those are either fully booked or out of your price-range, you won't go wrong by booking a room at this Hampton outpost.

We had a small gathering and stayed in 8 rooms at the Inn at Manchester for several days. The IAM is a family owned, operated and has a warm and welcoming vibe. It is ideally located, has 3 guest houses with 21 guest rooms and soft grass grounds with birch trees, VT marble chairs and Adirondack chairs. It is far enough from the downtown yet an easy walking distance to the town and many restaurants, fly fishing, golf and hiking trails. The rooms we had were tastefully decorated and large about ~500 sqft. and the largest suite was ~700 sqft. Beds were comfortable and some had separate sitting rooms with a desk. Some of us worked a couple of days and their Wi-Fi was decent. Included breakfasts offered several choices which differed daily. Solid farm cooking that we enjoyed were French toast, homemade granola, yogurt, fresh fruits, cottage cakes, buttermilk pancakes and eggs made to order, bacon and breakfast sausages. They accommodated our dietary needs too. The Morning coffee (VT Mtn) and tea station is set up early in the morning and throughout the breakfast hours. We also had an event on their covered Celebration Barn patio with a fire pit. The innkeepers provided a name of a local caterer which worked out well. The event setup person was on schedule and he even stayed later to re-setup after an untimely rain. The caterer did an exceptional job and everyone loved the food! The fire pit was great to hang out at to enjoy the NE evenings. Price is reasonable given their location, service level and the quality of the Inn. The service at the Inn at Manchester is fabulous! The Innkeeper, Gabriela and GM, Todd were exceptional, warm and super helpful! They know the area well and though I've visited Manchester many times prior, Gabriela's hiking trail recommendation was spot on. Parking is a private lot and is free. While this inn is bigger than the many family run lodgings, the intimate small NE vibe is apparent! We chose IAM over better known nearby hotels as this inn isn't stodgy. We very much enjoyed our stay at the Inn at Manchester due to the wonderfully kind Gabriel and Todd!

I arrived later in the evening and was greeted by the most friendly and professional team. After checking in they provided a full tour of the Inn and left me to enjoy this amazing place. The breakfast was a delightful start to my day, with the eggs, sausage, and buttermilk pancakes being absolutely scrumptious. The rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee further enhanced the experience, setting the perfect tone for our day of relaxation and exploration. The historical estate exuded old-world charm, complete with wood-burning fireplaces that added warmth and character to the atmosphere. The comforting scent of applewood burning made our stay even more enjoyable, and the Cinnamon suite provided a cozy and inviting space for us to unwind. As I woke up to a light snowfall, the morning revealed the true essence of country life, capturing a serene and picturesque scene that truly added to the charm of our stay. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful and unforgettable getaway. I truly hope this review captures the essence of your wonderful time at The Inn at Manchester. Breathtaking mountain views…read more My family rented two vacation houses at the Wilburton for our large extended family of 25 -- I knew very little about the property before we arrived, so we were taken aback by the sprawling turn-of-the-century mansion and spectacular mountain views as we drove up the driveway. We absolutely never expected the art installations across the grounds -- including 18 x 26-foot Egyptian statues! The art and decor were eclectic and unexpected, and I found them very intriguing. It's definitely not your traditional resort, but that's what we liked about it. And the statues made for an amazing night with smores by the fire pit! The Reunion House was spacious -- we particularly enjoyed the living room, as it gave us enough room to comfortably host the other half of our family (about 25 of us) for a casual birthday party. There was plenty of seating with cozy leather sectionals and two large dining tables that seated about 8-10 people each. My daughter loved playing the piano in the living room, and the rooms downstairs with the daybeds were a great place for the kids to hang out and watch TV together. (The galley kitchen is a little small, but we were aware of this ahead of time because it was mentioned on their website.) We were there during a massive heat wave and all the air conditioners worked very well and kept us cool. Our kids loved the volley ball/badminton area steps away from our house. The outdoor pool is beautiful and it was so wonderful to be able to gather there easily with our whole family. The innkeepers were friendly and helpful. And we enjoyed looking around the mansion as well. There was so much do to in nearby Manchester -- great restaurants and shops, the bookstore is fantastic. We also enjoyed the ropes course and alpine slide at Bromley Mountain. We can't wait to return next year -- we'll be staying at one of the other properties even closer to my extended family's rental house and I'm so excited for its private balconies, jacuzzi tubs, and even more beautiful mountain views!

The grounds are beautiful, serving as an outdoor sculpture garden, perfect for strolling or meditation. The inn is located away from the bustle of Manchester Center, but only a few minutes away from Main Street and the state roads to reach nearby towns. The main house was rented out for the weekend, so we were unable to go inside, but Melissa graciously offered to give us a quick tour when we checked out (contactless, as was the check-in), so we had the opportunity to meet Melissa, as well as the "doggie concierge" Jetson, and sampled some muffins baked on the premises. Top-notch service and hospitality, would love to return in the warmer seasons!
