Mushroom pizza. Tasted boring but seemed popular.

Went to sit outside for brick oven pizzas after tubing the Battenkill all day. Our waitress was definitely struggling to keep up with orders and some orders were lost in the shuffle. The environment is top notch with plenty of pretty flowers around and a few cool dogs. The pizza was tasty but small and expensive. The waitresses were in such a frenzy it was nearly impossible to ask for things like extra napkins, drinks, dressings, etc. kind of a bummer going out somewhere and getting a 200$ bill and not being able to request a dressing for pizza crust. I was told to grade the staff on a curve because the brick oven pizza special is one night a week and the staff arent really waitstaff? I dunno all i do know is the service was below standard, the pizza was small but the prices are all way above average. There were no bathrooms around to use either!!! The menu was limited offering only 2 diff cocktails. Again this was over 200$ for this experience. There was such little value for my dollar here. Never again unless im forced by others.

Andrea, her family and staff could not have been nicer. We checked in on a Thursday and we're lucky enough to have the place to ourselves for a night to grab drinks and hang out in the lounge area by the fire. We booked through booking.com (would recommend booking direct for cheaper rates) and a fixed breakfast was included. They were accommodating for our dairy free needs. When more guests arrived, they spread out guests into the bar area or you could take a plate to your room. They have a list of local recommendations for dining and also have a menu available for dinner. The fire pit was going each night and they have s'mores available as well as locally sourced gifts. It's about 20 minutes from bromley and 45 minutes to okemo where we went skiing For covid, they have hand sanitizers everywhere and enforce masks for all indoor areas. We didnt encounter any guests on our way to our room. They followed Vermont guidelines and checked with us in advance to make sure we were following out of state protocols. Overall you can adjust where you eat and hang out based on your comfort level. Looking forward to coming back!

Remodeled and rebranded the Barnstead Inn, this is a gem in Manchester. Andrea, Peter and their family are incredible hosts at this dog- friendly spot walking distance from downtown. The breakfast is spectacular...we mean it... not to be missed. Our room was recently remodeled and very comfortable. They have a fire pit and plenty of spaces to enjoy the days and evenings. If you're "Lucky" you'll meet Lucky upon arrival. He'll make sure you feel welcome. We will be back!

We just returned home from a stay, and could not be happier! We stayed in the Battenkill Suite, and it did not disappoint! It was so cozy, the bed was the most comfortable bed we've stayed in, and the shower was fantastic. The gas fireplace was so nice to have on. The breakfast at the Inn was top notch; so delicious! And the cocktails in the taproom were amazing! Megan and Sarah were fabulous hosts. Plus, who wouldn't loved the dogs Lucky and King! Would definitely return!

I'm gonna share these thoughts in no particular order. The hotel is incredibly dog friendly. That really stuck out. They're human friendly as well, but they are especially dog friendly. My impression of the hotel is that the Kimpton brand is so incredibly good at bringing outdated into today and still keeping the classic or historic elements in place. You can see that here through some of the photos I shared. Feel free to grab a bike or a scooter from the front and take a ride around town or around the property. If you brought your dog, grab a stick from the dog stick library and if you need to sit down and have a drink, every evening at five there's a Social hour where you can meet your neighbors and play some checkers over a glass of complementary wine or beer. There's usually some sort of snack involved and plenty of activities inside or out. The entire staff is friendly and genuinely helpful. It might be an act, but it looks like they enjoyed being there. I would highly recommend staying here if you're in the area. Here's a couple more notes. They have activities from bocce ball to a swimming pool, and the library is full of activities for people of all ages. Don't forget to grab a complementary cup of coffee in the morning on your way out for the day. The property and the rooms were always clean and the AC works like a charm.

There were eggs, bacon, oatmeal, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, and Cheerios. I rarely find that many options at a free hotel breakfast. The rooms were not inexpensive - I paid just under $400 a night, but everything was clean, well managed, and thus I don't mind paying more.

First impressions mean a lot, and ours were favorable: Handsome and well-tended grounds and a warm welcome at the reception desk. Our king studio suite was ample and spacious, though the layout is a little awkward. The bathroom seemed newly refreshed, with barn sliding doors and a large walk-in shower. The buffet breakfast had all the greatest hits one would expect (waffle bar, oatmeal, eggs/sausage/hash browns, fresh fruit, yogurt, toast/bagels/pastries) and plenty of hot beverages and juice. Though Manchester has an abundance of inns and B&Bs, if those are either fully booked or out of your price-range, you won't go wrong by booking a room at this Hampton outpost.

We had a small gathering and stayed in 8 rooms at the Inn at Manchester for several days. The IAM is a family owned, operated and has a warm and welcoming vibe. It is ideally located, has 3 guest houses with 21 guest rooms and soft grass grounds with birch trees, VT marble chairs and Adirondack chairs. It is far enough from the downtown yet an easy walking distance to the town and many restaurants, fly fishing, golf and hiking trails. The rooms we had were tastefully decorated and large about ~500 sqft. and the largest suite was ~700 sqft. Beds were comfortable and some had separate sitting rooms with a desk. Some of us worked a couple of days and their Wi-Fi was decent. Included breakfasts offered several choices which differed daily. Solid farm cooking that we enjoyed were French toast, homemade granola, yogurt, fresh fruits, cottage cakes, buttermilk pancakes and eggs made to order, bacon and breakfast sausages. They accommodated our dietary needs too. The Morning coffee (VT Mtn) and tea station is set up early in the morning and throughout the breakfast hours. We also had an event on their covered Celebration Barn patio with a fire pit. The innkeepers provided a name of a local caterer which worked out well. The event setup person was on schedule and he even stayed later to re-setup after an untimely rain. The caterer did an exceptional job and everyone loved the food! The fire pit was great to hang out at to enjoy the NE evenings. Price is reasonable given their location, service level and the quality of the Inn. The service at the Inn at Manchester is fabulous! The Innkeeper, Gabriela and GM, Todd were exceptional, warm and super helpful! They know the area well and though I've visited Manchester many times prior, Gabriela's hiking trail recommendation was spot on. Parking is a private lot and is free. While this inn is bigger than the many family run lodgings, the intimate small NE vibe is apparent! We chose IAM over better known nearby hotels as this inn isn't stodgy. We very much enjoyed our stay at the Inn at Manchester due to the wonderfully kind Gabriel and Todd!

I arrived later in the evening and was greeted by the most friendly and professional team. After checking in they provided a full tour of the Inn and left me to enjoy this amazing place. The breakfast was a delightful start to my day, with the eggs, sausage, and buttermilk pancakes being absolutely scrumptious. The rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee further enhanced the experience, setting the perfect tone for our day of relaxation and exploration. The historical estate exuded old-world charm, complete with wood-burning fireplaces that added warmth and character to the atmosphere. The comforting scent of applewood burning made our stay even more enjoyable, and the Cinnamon suite provided a cozy and inviting space for us to unwind. As I woke up to a light snowfall, the morning revealed the true essence of country life, capturing a serene and picturesque scene that truly added to the charm of our stay. We absolutely never expected the art installations across the grounds -- including 18 x 26-foot Egyptian statues! The art and decor were eclectic and unexpected, and I found them very intriguing. It's definitely not your traditional resort, but that's what we liked about it. And the statues made for an amazing night with smores by the fire pit! The Reunion House was spacious -- we particularly enjoyed the living room, as it gave us enough room to comfortably host the other half of our family (about 25 of us) for a casual birthday party. There was plenty of seating with cozy leather sectionals and two large dining tables that seated about 8-10 people each. My daughter loved playing the piano in the living room, and the rooms downstairs with the daybeds were a great place for the kids to hang out and watch TV together. (The galley kitchen is a little small, but we were aware of this ahead of time because it was mentioned on their website.) We were there during a massive heat wave and all the air conditioners worked very well and kept us cool. Our kids loved the volley ball/badminton area steps away from our house. The outdoor pool is beautiful and it was so wonderful to be able to gather there easily with our whole family. The innkeepers were friendly and helpful. And we enjoyed looking around the mansion as well. There was so much do to in nearby Manchester -- great restaurants and shops, the bookstore is fantastic. We also enjoyed the ropes course and alpine slide at Bromley Mountain. We can't wait to return next year -- we'll be staying at one of the other properties even closer to my extended family's rental house and I'm so excited for its private balconies, jacuzzi tubs, and even more beautiful mountain views!
