Everett Theater is a restored moviehouse with beautiful finishes, comfortable seats, great…read moreviewlines, and good acoustics. They also have large screen TVs flanking the stage, so you can still see well even if your seat is less than ideal. We've visited for a few comedy shows and noticed recently that the seating is more filled owing to good acts coming through. The coming attractions include a wide range of artists including pop and jazz artists, tribute bands, actual touring artists, and even the Seahawks Championship Game (last game before Superbowl, with the expectation that they'll do SB as well). I haven't figured a best parking location: we've found free street parking (weekend after-hour) relatively close by, but spots are not widely available. They run a set of snack counters and separate bars: prices a little high consistent with similar venues, with decent local beer can selections and poured mixers, and the popcorn was tasty. (other food selections available). The neighborhood is clean and bright: it looks like they take effort to reduce undesirables in the area. (Yelp has checked 'food' and 'ambience': I cannot uncheck these, although ambiance is fine. Food is Not a strongpoint here) (4 stars is Above Average and 5 stars are reserved for very outstanding reviews, rarely handed out.)

The seats are steep so you can still see and they had two large screens on either side of the stage in case you couldn't see the detail from where you were sitting. Very easy to see over people's heads and the seats were very comfortable. It's a newer and very nice theater. Only thing is there is very little leg room. Paintings, pottery, jewelry, that awesome photography on metal so the colors stand out, etc. I remember a stall with thin pieces of wood that were carved into things like trees and mountains. They were layered into a beautiful scene, then framed as if it were a painting. Very unique! Something else that I find to be a really charming detail is that each walkway is labeled with a road sign that is named after famous artists. For example, you can tell someone to walk down "Van Gogh" to find a specific stall. It's free admission. There are food trucks, a playground, a beer garden, live music, outdoor AND indoor art displays (it's fun exploring the building)... truly a fun day for art lovers.

There was; ceramics, clothing, footwear, sculpture in several mediums, yard art, musical instruments and music for sale. It's a cornucopia of juried, diverse, fine art. This isn't a street fair and I'm happy that they got the street fair type vendors out of there. Every year I go and every year I find multiple items that I'd like to take home, this year would've broken the bank if I had just let myself go, but still, I'm happy with my purchases and I'll be back next year.

We did a birthday party here for a bunch of teenagers and it was a pretty fun experience. We got…read morethe regular tickets and stood in line for about 30 minutes. However, while waiting in line, the actors in costumes kept coming to scare and entertain us and some of them even sang a happy birthday song to our guest of honor. They were engaging and we appreciated their efforts. They forbade us from taking any photos inside the haunted house so my only photo is of the main entrance. The displays were well done and the actors were highly engaged in their roles, giving us pretty good scares. We enjoyed ourselves mostly running away from the actors/monsters/psychopaths and the props were used appropriately in my limited experience as a haunted-house goer. Once out of the maze of haunted houses, we also tried axe throwing, which was also pretty fun. There was a bar and food vendors as well. It felt like we were at a carnival festival. All in all, good time was had by all.

The 80s called... they want their arcade back (and maybe their joysticks too)!…read more We first spotted Crave 80s Arcade Bar while staying overnight at the hotel that shares its parking lot. At the time, we couldn't check it out because we had our dogs with us. The name came up again at the Marysville Strawberry Festival, and when a friend was in town, we decided to give it a try after dinner. While I was born in the 80s, I wasn't exactly hanging out in arcades back then, so this was a bit of a nostalgic first. When you walk in, the walls are lined with pinball machines. There are a few other games scattered around, but pinball is definitely the star here. At the bar, I asked if there was more to the place, and the bartender pointed us to a "living room" behind the bar where you can sit and play Atari or the original Nintendo. The menus came in trapper keepers, complete with the satisfying Velcro sound, which was a fun touch. The guys jumped on the Atari first, but the joysticks didn't seem to work quite right. They moved on to the Nintendo, which was actually a Raspberry Pi loaded with multiple games. After a short stint there, we headed back out to the pinball area. I'm no pinball expert, but we happened to be there during a tournament, and the boys got schooled by some regulars, which made the experience a bit more fun. I also enjoyed the glass case filled with 80s miniatures and artifacts, and the vending machine stocked with nostalgic items like games, books, and snacks you'd expect from that era. Overall, it was a cool concept but felt a bit underwhelming. It's worth checking out once if you're in the area, but it's not a place we'll likely revisit.

We lots of discipline, we got our tickets and entered the incredible children's museum. You walk into a woodland wonderland and it only gets better from there. We are pretty partial to our home museum in Cincinnati and haven't found a better one but this comes very close. Theres so many interactive areas. There is a treehouse down toward the right when you walk in along with a small town. A walk on airplane that allows kids to work with parcels, a train engine you can walk into with model train set behind. A water station as well as stairs to the outdoor portion with an extensive jungle gym, musical instruments, mini golf, and an excavation site with dinosaurs! They had science exhibits for older kids and younger kids alike. A toddler area as well. You could keep any kid toddler to about 10 years of age entertained for hours. Parking isn't free unless you can snag a coveted spot in front but it's not too pricey. Admission is $22 a person. They have last half hour free during summer which is nice. Staff are dressed in purple and nothing but kind and friendly. There is a cafe at the top (well, a "food truck" theme) and tables and benches to eat. Looked like you could pack your own food. Also looked like you could host birthday parties and field trips. All in all, impressive children's museum. We can't wait to come back!
