There's a good amount of seating in the platform area and a large open floor in the middle. A lot of people also stand/dance on the same platform as there's a lot of leeway for you to move between areas. I never really do coat check because I'm paranoid about not having my things on me, but the one here is easy and reliable. The only real issue was the photo booth which only worked for the first half hour or so. I'm assuming it ran out of film or something because at some point, it just kept taking people's money without taking any photos, which was brought up to the staff. This isn't necessarily on Showbox since the photo booth is provided by a vendor, but I would've appreciated an "out of order" sign. If this happens to you, you can visit the vendor's website and call for a refund!

I was very fond of Blue Lightning and was sad when they closed and came over to Vessel to see if they may have beer similar to Blue Lightning. Alas, they did not but had a generous amount of guest taps. A woman who sat several seats away from me either was the (or a) owner and vowed to get their own beer on tap again soon. But unfortunately I didn't make it back before the ownership and the space got revamped again into more of a music venue now known as Club Hektic. This is a relatively new reincarnation and I haven't been here since the change and I don't know what has changed and what has stayed the same from my visit when it was known as Vessel Taphouse. But as Vessel I did enjoy the decor quite a bit. The idea is that it was pirate themed but I walked away thinking it was more Gothic. But either way the atmosphere was sure cool! The plaster is quite literally falling off the ceiling in a couple spots. None of us used the restrooms, so not sure what shape they are in. I will say, they've got the snacks and bar thing down. I think there were four total refreshment stations available across the number of different levels the lines moved quickly, and they had a good number of drink options, including alcohol and nonalcoholic beverages. They have plenty of washers and dryers and I did all my laundry (which would have been 12 loads at home) in two of the XL washers. Looking back, I could have used smaller washers to do them but that's okay. The XL washers cost $13.25. Feels like a really good deal. The place was clean with nice sinks, granite countertops... I'm so impressed.
