I have volunteered for this organization for the last 5 years and have had the pleasure of meeting some of the volunteers and board members. The fact that this person who left a review that was completely false! There is not 1 person who is a breeder associated with this organization! We bring these dogs into our personal homes with all their baggage and try to get them healthy and socialized with our own dogs. We do this because we care deeply for this breed of dog. We have owned this breed for years and know they are prone to have allergies to everything! Some dogs come into our homes with almost no hair, their ears and feet so swollen with yeast because of lack of care. It takes months to rehabilitate, re-socialize them into members of our families so we can find them their forever homes. Yes I've loved each and everydog that has come into our home and I work really hard at placing them into a home that is perfect for them! I would move into each home I've placed a dog into and felt very confident with their placements. I hear from almost everyone of the homes I've placed dogs into and have contact with the surrendering families if they want to know updates on their dogs I always will communicate with them. Until you can walk in a volunteer footprints to love unconditionally for months and then find them the absolutely best home placement for them than please say nothing! Everyone with Bulldoghavennw.org is a volunteer with their homes, family, time and love. Not one person is "hoarding" these dogs. Our end goal is to rehabilitate them and find them their forever homes. We don't get the perfect dogs into our rescue, we get the dogs who are needing extensive medical care and dogs who have not been socialize. We volunteers care so deeply for this breed that we give up our time, homes and families to help them. Please be respectful, just because you were not the right fit for one dog dosent mean you won't be a great fit for another dog. You may not get what you want, you get what you need. We adopted our boy Moo from them and they spoke with me prior to adoption for hours to make sure we were a good fit for the dog and visa versa. They are taking in dogs that are expensive to care for and have lots of health issues (it's the breed). Do your research before rescuing a bulldog they are amazing dogs but they do have a lot of special needs. They are couch potatoes but also have a lot of energy and are stubborn as a mule. But you will not find a better breed to be a Velcro dog. Bulldog Haven still checks in to see how he is settling over 6 months later. When we are ready for another bulldog we will be using them again. If you are not looking to add to your family please consider donating! They are doing thier best to help as many dog as possible and it's not cheap! Please be patient in the application process these things take time and they will get back to you! Eating wow this girl can eat, run, do sprints around the house, yard and is super excited. I am too lol. Potty training is going very well in the morning she wakes me up with kisses to say she has to go and stands by door we go out. We have a routine. Totally recommend Homeward Per adoption to everyone. I was introduced to Courageous Connections through an open house event they offered to families with children with disabilities. I was so impressed by their staff, volunteers, and program that I later went on to volunteer there myself, which I've been doing for almost 2 years. Courageous Connections offers equine therapy and equine assisted learning classes and workshops to people of all ages from all walks of life. They've positively impacted the lives of countless people living with disabilities, trauma survivors, First Responders, cancer warriors, people on hospice, troubled and at-risk teens and so many others! They even offer scholarships to help families who wouldn't otherwise be able to afford these services. We are SO fortunate to have this wonderful organization in our community. And not only are the women who own and run this operation some of the kindest, most sincere people you'll ever meet, but they are absolutely steadfast in making sure their herd of horses get the best possible care. And that's why I will continue to volunteer and sing their praises for as long as I'm able.

They did a classic "bait and switch" after taking all of my personal information, HIPPA protected information, and medical information including insurance. I am a retired Animal Cruelty Investigator and have debilitating CPTSD from severe abuse and my past work with abused and neglected animals mostly, horses. I am also a cancer survivor. This was my only hope of finding healing from all the horrific cases I worked on for many years 24/7 with no days off. I fought on the frontlines and was a force for the animals and have helped rescue thousands from abuse and neglect. I recently spoke with Sue, who is the owner of the facility and she seemed very self absorbed with her personal life. After speaking with me and hearing my story, she told me I would definitely be eligible for a full scholarship as my income is well below poverty level. All I had to do was fill out paperwork. I requested and received a gas voucher from Saint Vincent DePaul so I could attend the therapy sessions. Courageous Connections recently raised thousands of dollars ($10K) at an auction in Snohomish County. After filling out several pages of personal information, I was denied ANY help $$$ Not even a discounted rate. This is sad and irresponsible and a red flag to say the least. Often these NON Profit animal agencies too often misuse donor funds $$$ for personal gain. If they cant help a disabled woman who fought on the front lines for abused animals, survived Domestic abuse, and Cancer what is the $$$ actually being used for? I would highly suggest anyone not get involved or donate anything $$$ money or auction items to this agency ever . They transport them here super humanely and are such a great organization. This is their website https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org We applied for John then had 2 different phone interviews and a reference check. They are 100% legit so I am unsure about all the negative comments, I am a real life person from Oregon who adopted a dog from them. Our coordinator who was based in Washington also connected one of our dogs siblings to use because at the time we didn't have social media and it's been so great to develop a friendship with them and for John and Elliot to be able to reconnect. The adoption prices has definitely gone up since March 2024 but not surprised as so has everything in this country. John is so well behaved and came that way and I attribute that to the amazing fosters these dogs have! Thank you TLP and if you're looking for a cat or dog, I highly recommend saving one from the overpopulation Texas area where this rescue saves dogs!

I've been waiting to hear since Monday. both of the dogs I had asked for in that time were posted and now adopted, and their team doesn't seem to care about getting me connected with another animal in need of a home, apparently, for charging so much to adopt a dog, terrible communication. Would probably just move on.

I cannot say enough good about this rescue.  We adopted our wonderful furbaby from FSIR almost 4…read moreyears ago.  I found our dog on Petfinder and thought she was in the Bay Area, but she was actually in Taiwan.  I was apprehensive, but I researched as best I could and prayed about it and just went for it and it worked out beautifully!  Please don't let your apprehension about adopting from an overseas rescue deter you from adopting from this group.  They are legitimate.  Our vet was very impressed with the vet services our dog received from FSIR while in Taiwan.  I personally used to rescue dogs and I was very impressed with the vet services and level of care our dog received in Taiwan and while being transported to America.  In Taiwan, our dog was on heartworm prevention and flea/tick prevention.  This is of utmost importance for the health of a dog and some rescues don't attend to these needs because of the costs.  FSIR does and they sent us a healthy dog! Yenchi is FSIR's representative that was in contact with me.  She required pictures of our home and yard and my current vet's contact information. She also asked various questions regarding current and former pets and pet ownership.  She was in contact after the adoption for updates.  FSIR makes clear to you that pet ownership is a huge responsibility, both financially and personally.  I never felt like they were trying to push a dog off on me.  They are the type of group that does not want to adopt a dog to you if you are not serious about the responsibility of owning a pet.   Yenchi did a fantastic job of working out the details of the transport from Taiwan and was in clear contact with me about when/where to pick our dog up.  We picked our furbaby up at SFO and there were no problems.  It's my understanding that FSIR can work out adoptions to pretty much any airport that has a direct flight from Taipei. Please, please consider adopting from FSIR!  It's a legitimate rescue group who takes good care of the dogs they rescue and works hard to find the right homes for them.

We had the place to ourselves and spent an enjoyable hour taking in the surroundings and interpretive signs. The signs identify as well as speak of the traditional usage of the various plants by NW tribes along with the legends of the Coast Salish. There are a wealth of habitats and cultural perspectives represented here. Truly a haven for nature and humanity. The Cedar Cathedral has forever changed the way I view PNW forests. The gift shop is small but rich in literature and local art. The volunteers we met throughout the center were friendly and personally invested in the conservation work of the foundation. Admission is reasonable and a membership option is available for those who wish to further support Adopt A Stream. Easy access to the center from the ferry and freeway. Convenient parking available free of charge. The only public restroom is a portable one in the neighboring park. There are picnic tables outside the gate.
