Ok I would like to spend a few moments to respond to a review on here stating facts that are not…read moretrue. I have volunteered for this organization for the last 5 years and have had the pleasure of meeting some of the volunteers and board members. The fact that this person who left a review that was completely false! There is not 1 person who is a breeder associated with this organization! We bring these dogs into our personal homes with all their baggage and try to get them healthy and socialized with our own dogs. We do this because we care deeply for this breed of dog. We have owned this breed for years and know they are prone to have allergies to everything! Some dogs come into our homes with almost no hair, their ears and feet so swollen with yeast because of lack of care. It takes months to rehabilitate, re-socialize them into members of our families so we can find them their forever homes. Yes I've loved each and everydog that has come into our home and I work really hard at placing them into a home that is perfect for them! I would move into each home I've placed a dog into and felt very confident with their placements. I hear from almost everyone of the homes I've placed dogs into and have contact with the surrendering families if they want to know updates on their dogs I always will communicate with them. Until you can walk in a volunteer footprints to love unconditionally for months and then find them the absolutely best home placement for them than please say nothing! Everyone with Bulldoghavennw.org is a volunteer with their homes, family, time and love. Not one person is "hoarding" these dogs. Our end goal is to rehabilitate them and find them their forever homes. We don't get the perfect dogs into our rescue, we get the dogs who are needing extensive medical care and dogs who have not been socialize. We volunteers care so deeply for this breed that we give up our time, homes and families to help them. Please be respectful, just because you were not the right fit for one dog dosent mean you won't be a great fit for another dog. You may not get what you want, you get what you need. We applied and it did take some time to hear back from…read morea member of the team but let's be real they are filtering through tons of applications on tons of dogs in need. We adopted our boy Moo from them and they spoke with me prior to adoption for hours to make sure we were a good fit for the dog and visa versa. They are taking in dogs that are expensive to care for and have lots of health issues (it's the breed). Do your research before rescuing a bulldog they are amazing dogs but they do have a lot of special needs. They are couch potatoes but also have a lot of energy and are stubborn as a mule. But you will not find a better breed to be a Velcro dog. Bulldog Haven still checks in to see how he is settling over 6 months later. When we are ready for another bulldog we will be using them again. If you are not looking to add to your family please consider donating! They are doing thier best to help as many dog as possible and it's not cheap! Please be patient in the application process these things take time and they will get back to you! I cannot say enough good about this rescue.  We adopted our wonderful furbaby from FSIR almost 4…read moreyears ago.  I found our dog on Petfinder and thought she was in the Bay Area, but she was actually in Taiwan.  I was apprehensive, but I researched as best I could and prayed about it and just went for it and it worked out beautifully!  Please don't let your apprehension about adopting from an overseas rescue deter you from adopting from this group.  They are legitimate.  Our vet was very impressed with the vet services our dog received from FSIR while in Taiwan.  I personally used to rescue dogs and I was very impressed with the vet services and level of care our dog received in Taiwan and while being transported to America.  In Taiwan, our dog was on heartworm prevention and flea/tick prevention.  This is of utmost importance for the health of a dog and some rescues don't attend to these needs because of the costs.  FSIR does and they sent us a healthy dog! Yenchi is FSIR's representative that was in contact with me.  She required pictures of our home and yard and my current vet's contact information. She also asked various questions regarding current and former pets and pet ownership.  She was in contact after the adoption for updates.  FSIR makes clear to you that pet ownership is a huge responsibility, both financially and personally.  I never felt like they were trying to push a dog off on me.  They are the type of group that does not want to adopt a dog to you if you are not serious about the responsibility of owning a pet.   Yenchi did a fantastic job of working out the details of the transport from Taiwan and was in clear contact with me about when/where to pick our dog up.  We picked our furbaby up at SFO and there were no problems.  It's my understanding that FSIR can work out adoptions to pretty much any airport that has a direct flight from Taipei. Please, please consider adopting from FSIR!  It's a legitimate rescue group who takes good care of the dogs they rescue and works hard to find the right homes for them.

They transport them here super humanely and are such a great organization. This is their website https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org We applied for John then had 2 different phone interviews and a reference check. They are 100% legit so I am unsure about all the negative comments, I am a real life person from Oregon who adopted a dog from them. Our coordinator who was based in Washington also connected one of our dogs siblings to use because at the time we didn't have social media and it's been so great to develop a friendship with them and for John and Elliot to be able to reconnect. The adoption prices has definitely gone up since March 2024 but not surprised as so has everything in this country. John is so well behaved and came that way and I attribute that to the amazing fosters these dogs have! Thank you TLP and if you're looking for a cat or dog, I highly recommend saving one from the overpopulation Texas area where this rescue saves dogs!

Would give zero stars if I could. First they charge three times as much as a local adoption…read more Second, my cat arrived filthy, covered in some sort of crust, so he needed a bath ASAP. Third, they claimed he was dewormed, yet we noticed little white worms coming out of his bottom immediately. After a a trip to the vet, he did indeed have a tapeworm, also Coccidia (a Giardia-like parasite that took two rounds of antibiotics and all the stomach upset that goes along with it) and he had a severe case of gingivitis that involved several more vet appointments and life-long dental care. I love my cat, but would I ever adopt through this agency again? Hell no. Thousands of dollars later and no response to my request for a refund of my fees, I say, just leave your door open for an hour and let the cat distribution system do its work. You'll save a lot of money and heartache. Oh, wait, don't get me started on the hours of interviews prior to adoption, not Giardia only for me, but my landlord and three of my references. They are overly thorough when it comes to wasting your time to make sure you're a solid candidate to own one of their rescues. Turns out that they put zero hours into making sure they ship you a healthy animal. Avoid this place at all costs!

They require you to mask up before entering, but they provide them if you don't have one on hand. There's always a couple loving dogs milling around, and I love how they allow visitors to provide socialization to these fur babies through visits/walks! Whenever I'm able to walk a dog, I take them just a short trip up the road (less than 10 min) to Gas Works Park! I love that walkers are provided with a convenient little bag packed with treats, poop bags, and a water bowl. I've thoroughly enjoyed my time with the dogs and it especially helps in times when i'm missing my own pups! Please stop by if you're in the Fremont area, it's a hidden gem I wish more people knew about. It's such a welcoming and loving space for animal lovers. You can also choose to foster if you wish :)
