Can't get fresher than that! They started their business far away from the Okanagan in Cowichan Bay back in 2004. Recently they opened up this new second location in the heart of the Okanagan on Main Street in Summerland. They have a variety of organic grains available including red fife, spelt, and rye. And they also have some that weren't labeled as organic, but seem to come from cleaner sources including Kamut and a series of Vancouver Island Red Spring wheats from smaller farms. The rye bread looked delicious - so couldn't resist getting a loaf. It had a superb crust and a dense crumb. It was dusted in flour (perhaps just a tad too much, but I'm nitpicking). There was a slight sourdough flavour which enhanced the flavour profile nicely.
