Went in to buy some cookies as a treat for my grandsons. I paid cash as they only take cash, debit or e transfer. The worker there was making strange noises so I asked her if she was ok. She yelled "No, your perfume is making me sick!" I was shocked. I told her I was not wearing any perfume nor was I wearing deodorant. She immediately started swearing at me calling me a "Stupid c##t!" Unbelievable now finding out this worker is actually the business owner. My response was right back at her in her low life language. I tossed her box of cookies at the door on my way out...good riddance! She may be "just a girl (her pic is from 30 years ago) trying to help the celiac world" as she responds to everyone's reviews but it sounds like she needs help in another area. This was sheer whack-a-doodle rage. Looking at her videos/pics she is touching the food with bare hands (customers are supposed to believe your hands are clean?) yet she screams at others and insists they wear gloves. If you are that sensitive wear a mask for Pete's sake lady. People use soap to wash their clothes and their hands. Can't wait to see how she responds to this incident and tries to turn it around on me who simply asked if she was ok out of kindness. Stay as far away from this place as you can unless you want your head bit off.

AVOID at all costs** So i was in the neighbourhood and decided I wanted to support a small business I have been following on FB for a while. I understand that these are difficult times and we are all having rough days, but I was truly disappointed when my boyfriend and I visited today for lunch and felt so uncomfortable. There was no music or radio to fill the silence. The owner was snippy and came off as very standoffish and cold in our interactions. We respected all social distance and non touching rules while in the store, so there was no reason to make us feel so unwelcome. Though we were served in a timely manner, there was no friendly smile, no great customer service, no feeling of appreciation for our visit to the bistro. I don't know if she was having a bad day or what, but our experience today makes us never want to return, and not want to recommend To clarify: -we asked for certain things, even asked if she was okay to make sandwiches, and she said yes. - when she said no quesadilla, i said fine, not a problem - she snapped at John to stay on the mat ONCE, and we did. - we stayed on the mat and did look around the store a bit, but stayed in one place. - the customer behind us came in and asked about his order. He waited, and eventually said he would return. She NEVER asked him to come to the cash, and neither did he. - yes we waited inside the cafe for the food. She never told us at the time to please wait outside, we would have if she had said anything to us. The owner of this business is a sour, rude, disrespectful woman, and it's not okay for her to continue to blame, shame, and make WILD untrue accusations about my boyfriend and I

I got 2 regular meat pies ($3.25 each) and 2 meat with pomegranate sauce pies ($3.25 each) for my husband and I. As I was waiting, the nice man working there gave me a free cookie :) The cookie was a shortbread cookie partially dipped in chocolate. I have had many Middle Eastern meat pies, but this was my first time having a meat pie with pomegranate sauce. The pomegranate flavour was subtle and I mostly just tasted a twinge of sweetness to the pie. It was interesting, but I think I prefer regular meat pies instead. The regular meat pie was good and the seasonings are very different from the majority of other meat pies in the city. It had ground meat, tomatoes and parsley inside. The pastry of both pies were thin and crispy which I liked. I don't like it when it's too doughy. The pies were also a good size with a good amount of meat. They make for a very affordable snack. There are a few tables to eat in and a water fountain inside the bakery. Staff were pleasant. And I immediately like anyone who gives me free cookies, lol. The bakery is located in a strip mall. Same strip mall as Big Rig Brewery and Supreme Kabob House. Lots of free parking in the shared parking lot.

Really cool space, definitely would be great for an afternoon tea. They have an outdoor patio, not that it was being used despite the beautiful day. Pastries and food selection is great. The staff is friendly... but slow and easily distracted. The cashier was taking a phone order while several of us were waiting, pretty unacceptable when another staff member should be able to take a call. We ordered a coffee and a mimosa. Well, they had to go back and check to see if they had juice... they did not. I asked for just the bubbly instead, she had to go back and check again. How do they not know or keep things on their menu in stock? Oh well, they had the bubbly so it was okay. For food we ordered a pastry and a croissant sandwich. The biscotti and pastry were delicious. For some reason, they decided to panini press the croissant sandwich. What the heck, who would do that? Why didn't they ask? Tasty sandwich, but completely ruined due to crushing the croissant. We were expecting it to come straight out of the case and at most maybe microwaved to warm it, not just destroyed in a panini press. Cool vibes, nice atmosphere, food is good, tea menu looks amazing. But, the staff don't seem to have a clue to what they are doing.

Ended up getting the pistachio and Dubai chocolate croissant. As for the drinks, we got the matcha and the Hojicha with espresso shots. They serve coffee from Hatch (which is probably one of my favourite back in Toronto). Unfortunately, we didn't get to try the croissants fresh but they were still tasted buttery and flakey. The flavour and sweetness was the right amount (perfect for my Asian tastebuds). The drinks were also really good! It was pretty busy inside but there's plenty of seating (might not be great if you want to chill and study but great for hanging out with friends). Service was good, staff is friendly and our order was made fairly quickly. I would come back and try other things on their menu if I'm ever around the area.

Plus, their croissants are big in size and are great for sharing. Their place is beautifully decorated with lots of seating. The workers were kind and friendly. We ordered the Croissant au Pistachio Rose and the Dubai Chocolate Croissant. Both had the perfect amount of flakiness and softness. The Dubai Chocolate was decadent while the Pistachio Rose was nutty with a delicate taste of floral.
