There are not a lot of tables to eat at - only 3, with a few couches interspersed. The staff and patrons are friendly. We got there early today, and had time to look around before our friends got there. This gave us time to wait for a table, It gets busy in here, so ordering can take some time. However, the food was a while coming out. Our food came out well before our friends' food. However, the food was tasty when it did come out. Unfortunately, my eggs were a bit better done than I like them, but the meal was still edible, while we were eating and our friends were waiting for their food, the waitress admitted that they were short staffed by 2 people (you could really tell!) Later on, we heard they had run out of eggs. Although it is an interesting place, with an eclectic menu, and it's not next door for us, I would not be in a hurry to go back. I would give it one more chance, though, in a while, hoping they get their staffing issues sorted.

These squares haunt my dreams, that's how good they are! There's a layer of brownie, then a thick layer of gooey marshmallow then a peanut buttery chocolate spread on top that has crisped rice in it. It's heavenly, and only $3 for a good sized piece. I had a chat with the man manning the stall and he said he was the owner's dad. He was super nice and we chatted a bit and I asked him where the bakery was, and he said Chesterville. I asked him where that was and he said 45 minutes southeast of Ottawa, and told me a bit about Chesterville. He also said they are frequently at the Farmers' Markets in Westboro and Lansdowne. If you are in Chesterville, I would definitely recommend checking out the dessert squares at The Rite Bite. Or if you are an urbanite like me, check them out at the Farmers' Markets, lol. I have the privilege of knowing Anastasia personally, and I can say without hesitation that her baked goods are the best I've ever had... It's no wonder she graduated at the top of her class from Paul Smiths College. Especially noteworthy are the lemon pound cake, fruit tartlets, and cinnamon buns. She is also an insanely talented cake decorator and pulls out all the stops to make sure her customers are happy. While her bakery will be temporary closed while she is starting her family, I have no doubt her business will continue to thrive when she returns.
