This is a local cafe in Orleans that manages to stand out. It's very nice for studying. The place is spacious and has tons of seating, with a lot of light coming in. The staff are very friendly, and service is very quick. There's a broad selection of hot drinks and desserts, though I did notice that I couldn't find any prices for the latter. I just got some coffee for myself. Kinda wanted to get some latte art after the fact. read more

It is nice to have a cafe in Orleans with lots of dessert and drink options. I have been here a few times and have always enjoyed the quality and taste of the desserts. I do find that the staff are never super friendly and I usually have to wait a bit to be served. My biggest gripe is that there are no names or prices of desserts displayed anywhere. So I always have to bother the staff to ask what things are and then I never know the prices. I went there once and paid almost $20 for two slices of cake which I thought was a little overpriced. I would visit more often if they had clearer prices and labelling of desserts. read more

I stopped by today to grab some lunch for takeout. Overall, the food was good, but they got my order wrong (and I didn't realize it until I left) and I didn't feel that the food really stood out in any way. However, I'm glad to see an independent coffee shop in Orleans amidst all the chains. It was busy, so they obviously have a following. I got their salad and sandwich combo for $11.75. They have a variety of types to choose from. Salads are pre-made, but sandwiches are made to order. You even get to choose what type of bread you want. I got a honey mustard chicken sandwich on sun-dried tomato bread. It comes with lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers. It's a real chicken breast, and not deli meat, which I appreciated. Toppings were fresh. You get to choose 2 salads and I chose the lentil salad (which looked really good) and the Greek salad. However, when I got to my parents' place and opened up the box, I discovered that I was given only Greek salad, instead of lentil salad and Greek salad. It was not worth my time and gas to drive back, so I just ate it. The Greek salad had tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, red onions, Kalamata olives (although I only got 1 olive, and the pit was still in it), and feta cheese (I got only 2 tiny cubes). The dressing wasn't too oily, which I appreciated, and the flavour was good, but I would have liked some more cheese. And of course, I would have liked to try the lentil salad that I ordered :( Service was nice and friendly. I was greeted right away, and advised what items they had. I really wanted a crepe, but didn't see any on the menu and when I inquired, I was told that any waffle on the waffle menu can be made into a crepe. All the waffles were sweet and I wanted something savoury, so no crepe for me :( I may come back for some gelato or sweet crepes/waffles in the future. This cafe is in a strip mall. Tried it for the first time today, delicious. The server took her time to explain which flavour of desserts they had, pointing them out one at a time. We decided on chocolate prestige and a gluten free double dark chocolate cake. Both incredibly rich and delicious. Cake portion was perfect. Enough to fill and satisfy you and just on the line of if it was another two more bites, you'd vomit from the richness. The iced Capp tasted much better than a Tim Hortons sugary iced capp, perfect for a real coffee lover. The outside of the store could use a little makeover, it does seem kinda sketchy but I promise you they only sell quality! Will definitely be back again. read more

Finally stopped in here for breakfast after hearing such great reviews from everyone who has been. I got a vanilla latte which was delicious and crepes with ham, egg and swiss cheese. The crepes were really good and presentation was awesome. Everything was served hot and fresh and I would definitely go back. The service was good also. The cakes and the gelato in the display case were very tempting so might have to go back soon to try one of those. They also sell some locally made jewelry. The place was fairly busy for a Sunday morning. They have a patio so some people were sitting outside enjoying the nice weather. They have newspapers and puzzles to help entertain the customers. For water you can just go up and help yourself to the water jug which is kind of nice. All in all another great local spot. read more

I am BEYOND thrilled that I found this place. 1) Because you all know I don't have an office, and am always looking for local businesses with wifi. 2) Because I had yet to find an independent, local, cafe or coffee shop in Orleans. 2) Their food is freaking amazing. 4) The staff are sweet as pie, and the place is lovely. 5) They have cake. Lots and lots of cake. After finding out about this place on Facebook, I immediately decided to come check it out. It's a five minute drive from my place, and super conveniently located near Farm Boy, Beddingtons, and other places I shop. As soon as I walked in, I couldn't believe the number of options this place offers. Lunch items (panini, sandwiches, soup, salad), a gelato counter (ahhh!!!), tons of desserts (cakes, squares, pastries), an amazing coffee/tea menu and...alcohol! I think it's brilliant to be a fully licensed cafe - you can enjoy a nice glass of wine and a pastry. I also love that they're open till 10 p.m. So, I was starving, and devoured a turkey and cheese panini, side greek salad and a slice of their gluten-free banana cake with peanut butter mousse. AHHH! It was so good. The cake had this chocolate ganache on top that was mind blowing, and it was perfectly moist and not too sweet. Peanut butter and banana? My fave. The panini was also delish and served on a lovely bun. My fave? They put cucumbers on it! I love cucumbers on my sandwich! I love that they bring you your meal. The lovely staff member brought me my latte first (an amazing almond mocha), then my lunch, and my cake when I was finished. It was perfect. A lovely spot to spend some time. There's plenty of seating - both tables, and an area with comfy chairs and coffee tables (perfect for a date or girls night chat!). Having a cafe in Orleans certainly has one major plus - free and plentiful parking! The quality and vibe here certainly feels like I'm downtown or in Westboro, but there's none of the stress of finding parking - and all the loveliness of a local businesses that really cares about their customers. read more

Really nice small coffee shop with great coffee and food. You have to be careful coming into this place as you can gain 5 pounds staring at all the scrumptious desserts they have in their counter.... I've been told by many different people that this is the place to be. And to be honest, I've been here maybe three times. The last time, and yes I do say last time, I had an uneven experience in comparaison to what I've been told and what I experienced. It's usually pretty busy here and the menu offers many different options. Healthy choices, an array of lattes and yummy desserts in the window. However, I do have to say the service could take some work. I came with my laptop wanting to get to a bit of work in an environment that was said to be inviting and calm. As I sat down waiting for my cappucino and banana + nutella waffles with bacon, I was yelled at by a woman to move and take a two people table instead of a four table since it's busy. Now, don't get me wrong. If I see it gets busy, I ALWAYS move when I do this. I need more space to set up my laptop, my notes, my coffee, my breakfast, and more. However, if I see it's busy, OF COURSE I will move to cater to foursomes. The problem I have with her request is how she YELLED it out loud in front of everyone as if I was an inconsiderate no good selfish customer. I've worked in retail, I've worked in the food industry, and I understand her side of things. However, the way she said it could have been more tactful. I felt pretty awful for being a customer here and having to move in front of everyone. I understand her reasoning being asking me to move, but as I write this, I can tell you my foursome table is still available, an hour later. Respect and tact is all a customer asks when trying to have a dining experience, especially at 9 am on a Sunday. read more

Absolutely in love with this place since the first time I came. The staff is always very friendly. The owner is the most helpful, ready to serve person I ever met. It reflects in everything offered from the coffees to the food. I travel to Canada 2 times a year and find myself coming over here to work on the fast wifi at least 3 times every trip. My wife and I cannot get enough of their egg salad sandwich. Every time the egg salad sandwich has been delicious and very fresh. We have one of their pastries with the sandwiches. The fresh juiced apples for apple juice, the order of pancakes with strawberries and bananas on top was fresh fruit not fruit in syrup and the BLT's were terrific. Our fruit bowl was a delicious combination of fresh cantaloupe, honeydew, strawberries, and bananas. This place is a gem! My husband and I had espresso drinks which were both fabulous. This is the worst breakfast I've ever had. I ordered the crêpe with banana, strawberry and Nutella. The crêpe crumbled into a hundred pieces. There was no Nutella and black flecks were cooked into it. Disgusting! The cashier wasn't pleasant at all. Would it hurt to smile? Wow. Don't go here. read more

Went for the first time today - 3 of us. The experience was not great. The food was good (although 1 of us got her crepes cold). Wan explanation was given why they were cold but I failed to understand. Needless to say, one should just apologize instead of explaining especially since my friend did not eat her $13 crepes. It was pricy and as we had waited a long time for our food, our coffee was almost gone and was cold by the time we were served. To be fair, there was only 1 person working and she was the owner - working both cash and food prep. We asked for a refill on our coffee but we're refused. I said "But we had to wait a long time for the food and now our coffee is gone." The server/owner replied that the restaurant was not a fast food place and maybe if we had purchased large instead small coffees, we would still have some left for our breakfast. I was dumbfounded by her response. Obviously we will not go back and will not recommend this place when the owner has such an attitude. Hopefully she was just having a bad day. read more
