Cinnamon brioche French toast

Amazing food. Wonderful service. Nice ambiance. Cant recommend this place enough for breakfast (that's all I have had there so far). The cinnamon brioche French toast is to die for!

We are so glad to have come here rather than enduring the overpriced Chateau breakfast. This is a delightful small restaurant is decorated in an airy and happy manner guaranteed to start your day in a good mood. The staff were delightful to talk with and very attentive. The food was wonderful, especially the French toast!

The restaurant is the best and decent restaurant in the town.. staff are amazing. Very friendly , attentive and courteous.. food is delish! We ordered croissant sandwich and their Reuben sandwich and it taste soooo great! The tea wasn't served in a tea bag and was in a nice real teapot too.. watermelon soup was very refreshing too! The waitress showed us direction on where to go for a nice walk heading to the Fairmont le ChĂ¢teau.. definitely gonna come back here again!

It came off as a surprise, but the restaurant is really cute and nicely decorated with paintings. I loved hanging out here before going to Parc Omega. We missed breakfast hour, which is apparently way better than lunch menu. Lunch is slightly expensive and tasted just okay. My soup was delicious, and sandwich is meh. Not sure if I'm being too strict or not given all the 5 star reviews for this place.

Absolutely delicious, great atmosphere and great customer service at decent prices. You should definitely stop here to grab a bite to eat, plus it's right next to a historic park and natural area so a great place to walk about. The restaurant is a cozy place with a lot of artwork, fresh flowers and music. The waiter and chef seem to be husband and wife and they often check upon their customers to see how they enjoy their food and are very nice and talkative. The prices are very great and well worth it. We ordered a turkey bacon croissant sandwich and mushroom crepe. Both came from fresh ingredients and were filling and absolutely delicious. comes with the soup of the day or salad. additionally we got the dessert cinnamon roll with homemade jam and cream which absolutely mouthwatering. plus the town of montebello is really cute and beautiful. do yourself a favor and stop here for a bite. the turkey club is mouthwatering if you wanted a recommendation you can't go wrong with that.

After seeing reviews on Yelp, we thought we'd check this place out for lunch - we were staying at the Chateau Montebello, and this little town had some great things to check out. This restaurant is one of them, if you can catch them before they close. Open till 3:00, we barely made it in, but we're glad we did. The waiter/owner greeted us in French, but spoke perfect English to us once he knew we were American. Asked about his menu, he recommended the "must try" item, so I got it, and was so glad I did. It's an amazing salad, and was exactly what I needed. We also got the owner's story of how he came to this place, setup the restaurant, etc. It was delightful. Would go out of my way to visit again if I was anywhere close!

Club croissant and soup du jour!

I am giving it a 5 star because it was exactly as expected. I wanted cozy with good food and coffee and Leo and Chantal delivered. Small place with attentive and personable service. We had a club croissant with their daily soup and it was excellent. Great unassuming breakfast and lunch spot with fresh local food.

Sorry it was so good I almost forgot to take a pic of my eggs Benedict.

This was my first experience with the seasonal harvest menu at Cabane à Sucre Au Pied de Cochon,…read moreand it was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Every dish was beautifully presented, full of flavour, and felt true to the season. We started with the artichoke salad with coppa and stracciatella fresh, creamy, and well balanced. The mi-cooked trout with beurre blanc and chanterelles was rich yet delicate, while the ratatouille tart added a rustic, comforting touch. The gnocchi with foie gras was indulgent in the best way, and the turkey and sausage dish was hearty and satisfying. Dessert was a highlight: the raspberry tart was light, beautifully crafted, and the perfect way to end the meal. The overall experience felt special generous portions, incredible seasonal flavours, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. It's clear how much thought goes into this menu, and it really shines through in every bite. Highly recommend experiencing this before you die.

Dining at Au Pied de Cochon's renowned cabane à sucre has been a dream of mine for years…read more Mere mortals can make this experience happen. One must simply be ready the moment online reservations open in early December. I treated myself and my husband in early April in the thick of maple sugaring season. The drive from Montreal is a good hour, so we opted to stay in Laval. Much better might have been to rent an Airbnb in Mirabel. Next time. Because there simply must be a next time. For one fixed price (about $95 CAN), you are treated to course after course after course of the most delicious food crafted in the Québécois countryside. Everything has maple. Everything is the best thing you've ever tasted. I just wanted to slow down time and make this night last forever. Because it was just two of us, we lucked out and got seats at the bar instead of sharing a big communal table. Our two barkeeps were excellent- so friendly, plus knowledgeable and enthusiastic about every dish they served us. I had read that seasoned diners know to bring their own plastic containers for leftovers, so I too tucked a few into my bag. Do the same. Especially by the time you reach the flight of desserts at the meals end, one simply cannot consume that much food in one sitting. I will be dreaming of this epic meal for years to come. Or maybe just a year. Living only a three hour drive away, how can I not return next spring? Apparently, the menu changes every year. This place could shutter its doors someday and then it truly will exist only in my dreams. Until then, I simply must return. It exceeded my expectations, and then some. Divine. Rustic. Elevated. Joyful. Boisterous. Refined. Exquisite. Extraordinary.
