Amazing food, surprisingly affordable price and awesome staff!! We truly enjoyed every bite and left so happy. Three of us got Brie casserole and onion soup as appetizers and Duck leg confit and Bison steak. The taste was a pure blessing. Our absolute fav was Brie casserole. The staff were incredibly nice too- if you're a visible miniority you'd know that you sometimes experience a passive racism, but I truly felt welcomed and taken care of by the staff. Restaurant was quiet and beautiful too. Additionally I've personally always found French food's portion small in Toronto and Paris, but this place surprised me!!! Each meal came with good portion of salad and fries and the price was really reasonable, trust me. We loved both of our visits to Restaurant Le Bistro Montebello! This place is very popular with both locals & tourists. A reservation is definitely recommended. We showed up for our reservation an hour early hoping to get a table since we were hungry. The hostess warmly greeted us & got us a table quite promptly even though the place was pretty full. Our server was so kind to offer and try to translate the 3 course menu which was posted on a board attached to the wall. She did a wonderful job & we appreciated her attempt. My husband ordered the steak frites and I had the bison flank steak. We both asked for it to be done medium rare & the temperature came out perfectly. The creamy shallot sauce that came with both dishes was a big hit! Good enough to be bottled. The rebellion blue cheese on the bison steak added a nice richness to this dish but was not heavy or overpowering. The quartered potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The Stella beer my husband ordered was beautifully poured with a good amount of head & from a clean tap. The ambiance of the place was just right. Lively but not too loud. We came back the next day for their wood fire pizza. We weren't a fan of this as our preference is Neapolitan style but we were impressed as this the only place that served our first slice to us on our plate. It was a nice touch! I also had their French onion soup as a starter and it was sooooooo good. Lovely lovely establishment that was BUSY! We parked across the street in their lot. We had to wait for a spot and then wait about 10 minutes for a table on this weekday. It's a popular place and with good reason. Service was super nice and we were sat at a large corner table in the front dining room. There was outdoor options too. But we liked the air con. The servers were so kind as we speak more English than French. So that made It easier. We started with a Brie and It was amazing. Perfectly meaty, tasty, and the pecans were a perfect addition. Even our daughter had some. I had a best salad that was incredible. It had pears and so much cheese. Oh so good. My husband enjoyed a tartare for the first time ever and It was wonderful. The servings were a good size. Kids said It all tasted good too. We will definitely be back! read more

Delicious meal at Le Bistro in Montebello! My family and I visit Mt. Tremblant once a year and we always visit this restaurant on the way to Mt. Tremblant. This most recent visit, we ordered the Le Bistro Poutine, butterfly shrimps, lamb shank, and creme brulee. The food is always on point here! The cheese on the poutine tasted fresh and the chicken was perfectly cripsy. They made a mistake on the shrimp but the waitress happily took it back and brought back the correct dish. The lamb was tender and fell right off the bones and lastly the creme brulee was creamy with the perfect amount of sugar on top. The restaurant has a classy ambiance and it was very busy when we were there around 7:30pm on a Friday. The service was still relatively fast and the staff was attentive. They speak mostly French but was also fluent in English for the most part. There is free street parking and a free parking lot across the street making this an easy stop for us. Good service but the food is average. Don't bother with the calamari because it's very rubbery and chewy. Their poutine was good but I find the ratio was off - more gravy and cheese than fries. However if you're into a lake of gravy, you'll love this lol. Got the pizza and was not anything to rave about. Overall overpriced for the food but at least the dining space was great - many tables and I'm sure it gets busy on the weekends. read more

We came here based on the recommendation of our Range over experience teacher and we are soooooo glad we checked it out. The pizza here is delicious! Made fresh in a wood oven, or pizzas were covered with loads of ingredients. After the first bite, I can tell they used all fresh and quality ingredients. We ordered a BBQ chicken and deluxe. I really liked the deluxe pizza, I think this is the best deluxe pizza I've ever had in my life! The cheese was gooey and plenty, the pepperoni was super tasty, top it off with fresh and crunchy pepper. It was the perfect pizza at the perfect time. They also have lunch specials that only costs $15 and come with 3 course. My friend order steak frites and it was also really good. We are staying at the Fairmont and this was one of two restaurants that we were told would deliver. We called Le Bistro to make a delivery order and they told us they didn't have a delivery option. Fine, we drove a short 2 minutes to pick up our order. Pretty disappointed with how you ask for a takeout order and they don't even provide utensils. We ordered a soup, chicken wings, and a submarine with came with fries and a salad. No spoons, forks, or condiments for the fries. The soup was cold and likely out of a can. The chick wings looked raw and were equally cold. The sub was pretty good, but the salad was soggy, as were the fries. Not worth the $40 at all, definitely didn't deserve the tip. read more

Nice restaurant. Went there to try out something local and close to the hotel " Fairmont Le Chateau Montebello ". Was not easy because we were like party of 18. We actually screw up the date when we reserved but they were able to prepare a table in less than an hour. That was pretty nice. Service pretty neat and fast. I ordered a Foie gras poilé as an appetizer and took ravioli mushroom with truffle oil. Overall was a good pick. Food was pretty good quality. I would give them 5 stars if they were a bit more creative on their dish presentation. read more

I spent a weekend at the Chateau Montebello and decided to venture out here with my fiance for dinner. We made reservations a couple of weeks in advance, just in case. We came here because of the great reviews on Yelp and we weren't in the mood for paying an extravagant amount of money for food at the hotel. Between the two of us, we ordered an appetizer (escargot and puff pastry), a salad (the standard salad) and two mains and a pint of Guinness. The escargot appetizer was fantastic, really loved the sauce it came with. The salad was also tasty, and a pretty big portion (we only got the small one too). For the mains, she got the salmon special, which was a salmon fillet on pasta, with tzatziki sauce. The special also came with a side salad. I wish we knew this, because we wouldn't have ordered a separate salad otherwise. I got the fish and chips. The pasta and salmon was delicious, the salmon was cooked to perfection. The fish and chips were okay, not the greatest but not bad. To be honest, I'm not sure why I ordered fish and chips at a French bistro, but I guess I was craving it at the time. We do want to come back here and try the pizza, the two tables next to ours ordered pizza and the smell was tantalizing. We just weren't feeling like pizza at the time though. Also to note: there is a parking lot across the street. We parked on the street, in a spot that said we had to move the car by 8:30 p.m. We thought we'd be done dinner by then, but at around 8 p.m., I realized we wouldn't be so I went to move the car. I'm staying at the Chateau Montebello for two days with my family but we definitely didn't want to pay for the overpriced food here so we looked for great reviews on places nearby. Le Bistro had raving reviews and great prices so we tried this place for dinner tonight. We came here around 5pm to beat the crowd. It's about a 2 minute drive from the chateau and there's a huge parking lot right across the street from it. The restaurant has a big hallway entrance and then you're greeted by the staff. The seating area is split into front and back (and a patio for the summer). We chose the front (which was practically empty) and got menus and drinks fairly quickly. The menu itself is typical American cuisine (soup, salad, pizza, burgers, etc.) with lower than expected prices for the Montebello touristy area. Most of the pizzas are in the 10-15$ range with sizes of 8", 10", 12". Salads are about 5-10$ are are good for family style. They had garlic bread for 3$ and soups for about the same price. Drinks (tea/coffee) are about 2$ while beers (on tap) are about 5-6$. The most exotic thing would be the escargot, but we weren't in the mood for the fancy stuff. The three of us ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken ($10), large fries ($5), 8"Hawaiian pizza (10$) and 12" house special pizza (16$). All of the food was really good (not amazing compared to upscale restaurants but really great comfort food). The pizzas were definitely the highlight. All the toppings were super fresh and they didn't skimp out on sauce or cheese either. I would consider the crust to be on the thin side (which I usually dislike) but it was baked perfectly that I didn't mind at all. The balance of dough to toppings was great. Delish pizza! (We all agreed that the special was better than the Hawaiian.) We were stuffed by the end of the night and pretty much took an entire 12" pizza home (oops!! But yummy leftovers!!!) and we didn't finish all the fries either. Yayyy big portions! The staff at Le Bistro was fantastic from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. All the waitresses tended to us and always with a smile. With their minimal English and my high school French it was really easy to figure everything out. The decor of the restaurant was simple and clean and the whole atmosphere was great . Overall this is a pretty typical restaurant, but because of its location and how it compares to others in the area I would say it's definitely above the rest. I recommended giving this place a go. We went in on a Sunday night and enjoyed the spaghetti bolognese and a pizza. Both were very good. We are fans of St Ambroise beer and enjoyed a few pints. The restaurant was only slightly busy as we were there in January after Christmas. I understand it is very busy in the Summer months. Had lunch here with our family of four on the way up to Tremblant. The service was excellent and they spoke English which was a bonus for us. They had lunch specials that included soup (turnip) and dessert (cheesecake) and my wife and i both had one. She had a goat cheese souffle with salad and I had steak frittes. Mine was delicious with a delicate shallot sauce. Hers was OK, just needed more goat cheese. The soup was outstanding! My son had a pizza which he rated 8.7/10 (it did look awesome) and my daughter had grilled cheese with Ceasar salad. They have a good beer and wine selection as well. We were stumbled upon this place by accident thinking it was just pizza but they have a good variety on the menu which suited everyone in our family. Tried to eat dinner here on Saturday night although it was only 6pm with no reservation they told us it would be an hour late. So we left. Next day we came for lunch. Had the French Onion Soup which was "killer"! I was in heaven. Then hubby and I had the Bistro all dressed with the bacon, onions and olives .... yummy! We were touring the gorgeous Fall leaves in this area and needed sustenance. We weren't sure what we would find in this small tourist town but this place exceeded our expectations. For the very reasonable prices here, you get a lot of high quality food quickly served by very good waitstaff. I had the seafood pizza, $15 for a small that sent me home with left overs that were so delicious I snacked on them all afternoon. My friend had the bacon cheese mushroom burger, $15 that came with perfect fries and a lovely salad of fresh greens, shaved carrots and a few other veg. The place was sufficiently busy for the off season that they are open year round and I can see why. The waitress spoke enough English to answer our questions and she was really nice.
