Stumbled upon this treasure and couldn't have been more pleased. The servers were fantastic ànd the…read morefood was even better. This is the type of place you want to go back to over and over again.

Had a great experience at this new pub as we passed through town. We asked, and they've only been open two weeks! It's a lovely English style pub with tin-looking walls and dark furniture - everything is new and tidy. There are booths to sit at, a long bar, and high tables near the window, so there are some nice seating options. We tried the cream of carrot and ginger (soup of the day) and it was outstanding. I tried the sandwich of the day, a roast chicken with caramelized onions on 'mediterranean' bread, which was a simple white bread with some bits of kalamata olives in it, I think. I had an option of fries, salad, or potato salad, and went for the salad, which was a pile of lovely fresh greens with a creamy balsamic on top. Another of us had the chicken leek casserole which was huge and tasty. With some tricky to find imports on tap like Newcastle brown and Old Speckled Hen, we really felt like we'd stumbled into a nice example of a UK pub in Brockville. They have a bunch of premium and imported options for beer on tap plus a reasonable wine list. Worth a stop!

We ordered steak and it came out super burned, like we can taste the grill. Also, we ordered…read moreChicken Parm with Alfredo sauce, the chicken also came out burned. Our experience today was very disappointing.

I've given Kelsey's three stars even though it has the look of least a 4 star (for Cornwall,…read moreanyway). The greeter offered us either booth or chairs when we first came in, but realized after we requested the booths that there were none available. It certainly was a busy lunch hour! Kelsey's has been recently renovated. They have replaced their movie star posters with those of black and white scenes - very artsy. Kelsey's certainly has a quieter atmosphere than East Side Mario's, for example, and does seem more family friendly. But I don't appreciate being charged 10.99 for a small salad and a wrap in order to help pay for their recently revamped decor. The Greek pita WAS delicious, but I finished it very quickly. I could have ordered an appetizer, but they are generally 10$ each. I felt the need to stretch out my meal with conversation and slowly drinking away at my water and Virgin Caesar to justify the price of the item I ate. Now, generally, 10.99 when doing a sit-down meal seems very reasonable - but the quantity just wasn't there. (On the other hand, if you sign up on their website, or complete a survey, you can get a free appetizer with your entree or full meal over 25$). If you're looking for a quiet location that is good for conversation, this would be a good place. Just be prepared to pay for it.
