I always stop by around lunch time (usually between 12 noon and 1 pm) when it's not too crowded and there's rarely a lineup to order, therefore service is prompt. I recommend this location largely due to its convenience; it's located steps from Union Station/public transit and other major amenities, i.e. the Royal York Hotel. It also always appears well maintained/clean when I visit.

I was pleasantly surprised to see one on the same street my hotel is on, one around the corner from my hotel, one in Union Station's food court, and one in the pedway/food court under my hotel. They have good coffee, donuts and pastries, and breakfast sandwiches, all at very reasonable prices. A lot less than Starbucks! Their version of munchkins are called timbits and they are delicious. I really like the convenience. Only deducted one star because they're not open late. I was in Toronto for 6 days and it was difficult to find coffee after dinner. A reasonable priced cup anyway! Being in the financial district prices were crazy high so a location being open later evening would have been appreciated!

I hadn't visited it until last night. My first time I noticed it was getting a rental vehicle after a City of Toronto pickup truck rammed into the back of my Prius, and my vehicle needed a few days in the shop to get the truck and bumper repaired. I remember seeing folks entering and exiting this cafe to get their caffeine fix. I am not a regular coffee drinker. However, I felt like a baked good and decided to visit this location. Entering and existing this plaza requires some care. It's fairly tight when you turn into it and exit from it. This Timmy's does not have a drive-thru. There were plenty of parking spots at around 7 pm on a Wednesday evening. I backed into a spot and walked in. I loved the hockey stick design of the door handles. I feel like I need something similar for my home! I waited in line. There were two men in front of me. I couldn't tell which way the line was supposed to go. The man on the left got his order on the left. The man on the right ordered to the right. I got the nicest, enthusiastic woman behind the counter. She was wearing a smile cookie t-shirt, which looked great on her. I wanted a smile cookie. My first one during this campaign only had one eye. I wanted to see what a regular cookie would look like or if all smile cookies needed an eye patch. I scanned my QR code associated with my Timmy's points account. I then paid with a credit card. Done! Proceeds from smile cookie sales go to Markham-Stouffville Hospital. I appreciated it, as both my mom and I have received excellent care here. I got my cookie in a paper bag. I thanked this woman and wished her a great evening. She reciprocated. This store gets full marks for customer service. I dislike visiting my local one because customer service sucks. I like this one a lot better! My smile cookie had two eyes and a smile. Yay! It was yummy. It hit the spot. It satisfied my sweet tooth. I'm glad that I dropped by. I'd drop by again when I'm in the area. (186)

I tried Tim Hortons' Cilantro Lime Veggie Loaded Bowl (that isn't so loaded), and asked for it without the cheese and sauce. They got the "exclude cheese" part right, but added the sauce on the rice & veggies anyway. The rice itself was flavourful and contained little bits of corn and black beans. I liked the crispy fried onion that they put on the rice. The "veggies" were just shredded lettuce and little bits of tomato (as expected). Not sure what the cilantro lime sauce was made of, but it just looked like a creamy white salad dressing. Portion size was small. It's ok as a snack or if you want a very small meal. The verdict? It's what you'd expect from a coffee shop chain -- very basic but passable taste-wise.

I've been frequenting there regularly, I feel like it really depends on the day. Sometimes I get the perfect service, flawless of any issues, and others I get a mess so I really can't tell with them. The other day I went through drive thru for a very basic order of a black coffee and a medium iced Capp, only to get to the 2nd window be told that it costs like 2$ which surprised me but then even after that the lady hands me a donut which I thought was nice but then once she realized she made a mistake she asked for the donut back to readjust the order. I thought that was a bit odd considering you already handed it over but that said they were very prompt to correct their mistake, readjust my receipt and give me my correct order and send me on my way. Great location even though it's a hit or miss for me every time.

I tried the Roasted Hazelnut Cold Brew and it was really good. It kept me up though till the night time. I'm not sure maybe this has some caffeine in it too because it's a coffee donut? Anyways I also ordered a bacon breakfast sandwich and it was okay. It was filling and a nice lunch/ snack meal. Although I would not recommend drinking or eating it all the time due to the sugar but it would be a great place to visit just to try the different food offerings they have in comparison to a regular menu at Tim Hortons.

As for the doughnuts, we did a mix of oreo, strawberry with sprinkles, classic glazed, chocolate glazed, raspberry filling, and a special edition. We tried a few bites of each donut, and they were bursting with flavour. Some were very sweet, while others were more delicate. It was a nice balance being able to switch through the contrasting tastes. I'd definitely go back and try some new flavours, as they were very delicious sweet treats. The place was a bit small, so we chose to eat at a park nearby instead. It's definitely a quick bite, or a cozy seating downstairs for an hour. The cashier was really nice and patient with us as we picked out which donuts we wanted in the box. We saw the baker making fresh batches, so that was greatly appreciated.
